The army establishes control over a strategic hill in eastern Aleppo

Army units established control over the strategic hill of Barlahin in the eastern countryside of Aleppo after eliminating the remaining ISIS gatherings there, a source on the ground announced on Sunday.

Earlier, the army’s air force destroyed in air strikes a command center for ISIS terrorists in Rasm al-Alam and al-Seen villages in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province, according to a military source.

The airstrikes, fired Saturday night, resulted also in destroying ISIS vehicles equipped with machineguns in the two villages.

Army units destroyed positions of ISIS terrorists and vehicles equipped with machine guns in al-Teibeh and Jub al-Safa villages in the eastern countryside of Aleppo while other units inflicted heavy losses in personnel and munitions in Manbej city 80 kilometers to the North East of Aleppo.

Damascus countryside

Six terrorists were admitted killed by army units’ strikes in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside during the past 24 hours.

Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages that a number of their members including the so-called the leader of Khattab brigade affiliated to the so-called the Islamic Union Of Ajnad al-Sham the nicknamed Abu Abdo Hazem in Marj al-Sultan area.

Hama/Idleb

Army units targeted gatherings of terrorist organizations in the northwestern countryside of Hama province, destroying a position and a vehicle for the so-called “Ajnad al-Sham Islamic Union” terrorist group in Kafr Zita, sources on the ground told SANA on Sunday.

A gathering of terrorists from the so-called “Al-Izza Gathering” terrorist group was targeted in al-Zakat village.

Seven vehicles, most of which equipped with machineguns, belonging to “Jaish al-Fatah” terrorist organizations were destroyed and numbers of terrorists were killed in army operations against their gatherings and movements in the villages and towns of al-Qarqour, al-Ziyara, Tal Waset and al-Mansoura.

In the countryside of the neighboring Idleb province, an ammunition depot was destroyed and 9 terrorists were killed as the army targeted their gatherings in al-Tih village, 13 km southeast of Maaret al-Nouman, while an armored vehicle with terrorists onboard was hit in Kfarrouma village.

An army unit destroyed a position for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Hbeit village and killed five terrorists from the so-called “Jund al-Aqsa” terrorist group in al-Tamanaa village in Khan Sheikhoun area.

Daraa

Army units in Daraa destroyed a vehicle and hotbeds for terrorist organizations in Daraa city.

Army units carried out operations against dens and gatherings of terrorists, destroying a vehicle to the south of al-Abasiyeh bakery in addition to some fortified posts in the area surrounding of Busra square, south of the Endowments Building and in al-Karak neighborhood.

Army units destroyed gatherings of terrorists to the south the Electricity Company, east of the National Hospital and west al-Bajabjeh district on al-Sad road in Daraa al-Balad and Daraa al-Mahatta.

Lattakia

Army units in cooperation with popular defense groups restored security and stability to Bashoura village in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

The fifth batch of self-protection squads finished their training and were given a graduation ceremony on Saturday to assist the Syrian Arab Army in protecting their towns and villages from terrorists.

Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Kheder Salem pointed out that the graduation of self protection squads reflects the unity of Syria’s army and people and their confidence in victory, calling on the Syrians to be ready to defend Syria and help the army in its missions, in addition to contributing in the rebuild process after smashing terrorism.

Commander in charge of the training hailed the enthusiasm of the voluntary youths who rushed to join the army to help protect their country from terrorism, noting that these graduates are ready to carry out the missions assigned to them like manning checkpoints to provide an opportunity for the army to continue its military missions.

The graduated members carried out drills displaying some of combat skills they acquired during their training, setting up check points in addition to dismantling and setting up the light and medium arms.

Hundreds of men and youths from Damascus, Lattakia, Daraa and Homs provinces finished similar training on how to protect their cities, villages and towns from terrorists, in a move to back up the Syrian army and armed forces in fighting terrorism, and to protect the areas decontaminated from terrorists.

Any troops that will enter Syria without the permission of the Syrian government, whether the Saudis or the Turks, will be considered an occupation force, and an act of aggression; and they will return home in caskets.

Al-Moallem: Any Intervention is an Act of Aggression. Aggressors Will be Returned to their Country in Wooden Boxes.

Syrian Arab Army

Units of the Arab Nationalist Guard, a secular Para-military militia that have been fighting side by side with the Syrian Arab Armed Forces for years now.

The Arab Nationalist Guard was formed in 2012 when the US/NATO threats of military action against Syria saw light.

The Arab Nationalist Guard is formed from Arab volunteers from almost all Arab nations, and is fighting alongside the Syrian Armed Forces and under its command.

Two of the deadliest missiles in the region, the Tishreen Guided SRBM (aka M-600) with 300km range, 500kg warhead, and a CEP less than 50 meters for the variant disclosed to the public in 2011; and Maysaloon, a variant of Tishreen but without the guidance system, designated for targeting areas where less precision is required.
Both missiles are products of the Syrian Defense Research Facilities.

Defense Minister visits army units in Attman town, southern region

Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij paid Saturday a field visit to Attman town, in the northern countryside of Daraa province, where he met army unit members.

During his tour Gen. Al-Freij conveyed President al-Assad’s pride in the heroism and sacrifice of the armed forces in the town, congratulating them for the great achievements in restoring security and stability to the town.

Gen. Al-Freij raised the Syrian flag in the town’s square and was briefed by commanders in the field on how the military operation in the area is going on, pointing out the heroic acts carried out by soldiers and praising their efforts and successes they have achieved in the southern area.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army reaffirmed while meeting the army units’ soldiers that victories will continue on the whole Syrian territories by the armed forces and popular defense groups who have proven to be men in words and deeds in the fields of honor and heroism.

Gen. Al-Freij added that the achievements of the Armed Forces are real embodiment of the Syrian people’s choice in resistance and steadfastness, noting that the Syrian people and all honest people in the world are proud of the heroism of soldiers in confronting terrorism.

In turn, soldiers said that they will always stay on Testament faithful and will do their best in defending the homeland.

At the end of his tour, Gen. Al-Freij praised the soldiers and provided them with directives, wishing them more success in carrying out their national duties.

On Friday, army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, restored security and stability to Atman town, 4 km north of Daraa city after eliminating all remaining hideouts of the terrorist organizations in the town.

Damascus Countryside

Units of the Army and armed forces, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over the area separating Daraya city from al-Moadamiya town in Damascus countryside province, a military source told SANA

Meanwhile, 24 terrorists from the so-called “Fursan al-Haq” and “Tajamu’a al-Ezza” were killed in special operations carried out by the army and the armed forces in Kafrouma and al-Zakat in the countryside of Idleb and Hama, a according to a military source

Daraa

In the southern province of Daraa, units of the army and armed forces destroyed a rocket launcher and a mortar launcher belonging to the terrorist organizations in the surrounding of Tal al-Khidir and Saida town in the countryside of the southern province.

A unit of the army carried out accurate operations against terrorists behind Tloul Khelif near Um Walad which bordering al-Sweida countryside, inflicting them heavy losses.

Another army unit eliminated gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Tafas in Daraa north-western countryside.

Aleppo

Units of the army and armed forces inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organizations during a series of concentrated operations that were carried out against their dens and gatherings during the past hours.

Army units destroyed positions of ISIS terrorists as well as vehicles equipped with machine guns in al-Teibeh and Jub al-Safa villages in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, noting that this operation coincided with inflicting heavy losses in personnel and munitions in Manbej city 80 kilometers to the north west of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, ISIS terrorist organization published on their websites names of the dead among their ranks.

In the northern countryside of Aleppo, an army unit launched concentrated strikes against gatherings of terrorists during which most of them fell dead or injured in Souran village near Azaz which is one of the supply routes of the terrorist organizations through the Turkish borders.

Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages that scores of their members were killed including the so-called a military leader of Ahrar al-Sham movement.

Another army unit destroyed arms and munitions for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and other terrorist organizations affiliated to them during strikes against their dens in al-Ameriyeh village on the south eastern outskirts of Aleppo.

Gatherings of terrorist organizations were eliminated during the continued operations by the army against their hotbeds in al-Sukari, karm al-Qaterji, al-Mashhad, karm al-Jazmati and Salah- Eddin neighborhoods in Aleppo city.

Deir Ezzor

Popular resistance in the eastern area killed 11 terrorists from ISIS terrorist organization in al-Mouhasan city in Deir Ezzor countryside.

Local sources said that members of the popular resistance in the eastern area clashed with ISIS terrorists in al-Muhasan city, 20 kilometers to the east of Deir Ezzor city and killed 11 terrorists of them, including Khalaf al-Hammad, a leader in the Takfiri organization along with other terrorists.

Media outlets of terrorist organizations affirmed that six leaders including a senior leader in ISIS nicknamed Mahmoud al-Matar, were killed when their vehicle was destroyed in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Lattakia

A military source told SANA that army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, restored security and stability to al-Aaliya village and the surrounding hills in Lattakia’s northern countryside, after destroying the last remaining hideouts of terrorist organizations in the village and inflicting heavy losses upon them, while the remaining terrorists fled towards the Syrian-Turkish borders.

The army’s engineering units dismantled explosive devices left behind by the vanquished terrorists.

Three civilians injured in terrorist mortar attacks on residential neighborhoods in Daraa

Three civilians were injured in terrorist attacks with mortar shells on residential neighborhoods in Daraa city on Saturday.

A medical source in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa said in a statement to SANA that medical centers of the branch received three civilians who were injured due to the shrapnel that resulted from the shells, adding that they were taken to the National Hospital for treatment.

A source in Daraa said that terrorist organizations that are active in al-Naziheen Camp to the south east of Daraa and al-Nouymeh area targeted on Saturday afternoon residential neighborhoods with mortar shells, causing injuries among civilians and material damage to properties.

Terrorist rocket attacks targeted residential neighborhoods in Daraa city on Wednesday killing 17 civilians and injuring 101 others, most of them women and children.

A Lebanese war reporter killed in Aleppo

Lebanese resistance war reporter Ali Yousef Dasho was killed while covering military operations against Takfiri terrorists in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Field sources told SANA Saturday that Dasho was killed Friday while covering the Syrian Arab Army’s advance in Rityan town in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Dasho was born in Aleppo, in 1996. He underwent a number of training courses and covered many Syrian Army operations including the last one in northern Aleppo where he was killed.
