Minister Patino conveyed the Ecuadorian President’s greetings to President al-Assad, stressing his country’s rejection of any threats or military intervention in Syria.

He highlighted the importance of respecting sovereignty and independence of Syria and not repeating the scenario used by the Western countries to invade Libya, underlining the necessity of restoring security and stability to Syria.

For his part, Mikdad reviewed the latest developments which have taken place in Syria during the past months and the fierce attack being exposed to with the aim of undermining its principled stances in the face of the schemes hatched against the region.

Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister explained the aggression launched by some Western countries through their tools inside Syria and in the region, particularly what Turkey is doing, as it supports the armed terrorist groups in cooperation with some Gulf countries to threaten Syria’s stability and security.

Mikdad highlighted the firm stance of the Syrian people and their belief in President al-Assad’s leadership to foil the conspiracy and those behind it.

He stressed the importance of boosting bilateral relations in all domains.
