Russian MoD: US Creating New Terrorist Army in Southern Syria

Despite the U.S. statements on unequivocal commitment to fighting against the ISIS terrorist organization, international coalition continues cooperation with the remaining terrorists in Syria. An outstanding example of this is the situation in a refugee camp located 20 km north-east of al-Shaddadi, al-Hasakah province.

According to returnees, the international coalition has been using that camp for more than six months as a training base for militants, who come there from various regions of Syria. Most militants, as refugees that left the camp say, used to be members of the terrorist groups, defeated by the SAA – ISIS and Jabhat Al-Nusra.

Today, there are about 750 militants in the camp, who have come from Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Abu Kamal and the Euphrates’ eastern territories. It is regular core is made up of more than 400 ISIS terrorists, who fled Raqqa in a convoy in October with the help of the U.S.

The U.S. instructors of the Special Operations Forces are forming new military units called the New Syrian Army from separate groups of militants at a training center at the refugee camp. According to the returnees, the U.S. instructors are to be redeployed to south Syria after the training to fight the SAA.
