15 terrorist groups’ leaders killed, tens of vehicles destroyed in Daraa and other areas

Units of the army and the armed forces on Thursday continued to tighten the noose around the Takfiri terrorists in different provinces, targeting their dens and positions and killing and injuring scores of them, in addition to destroying their arms and ammunition.

Daraa

At least 15 leaders of terrorist organizations were killed and more than 50 vehicles loaded with arms and ammunition were destroyed or damaged in army operations in Saida town in the eastern countryside of the southern Daraa province, a military source told SANA.

The source said the operations also resulted in destroying a facility for making explosive devices and amounts of weapons and ammunition, noting that most of the terrorists in the area are linked to Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Al-Muthana Movement”.

More terrorists were also killed and injured and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Kafr Shams town and Aqraba village in Jaidour Houran area in the northwestern countryside of the province, which has turned into “an operations room for coordination between the terrorist organizations and the Israeli enemy,” according to the source.

The source added that an army unit clashed with an terrorist group that tried to storm into a building near the Electricity Company in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city of Daraa.

The clashes resulted in the killing of most of the group’s members and the destruction of a car loaded with ammunition.

An Army unit launched accurate strikes against terrorists’ hideouts in Khirbeh and Jbeib villages near the administrative border between Daraa and Sweida provinces.

The strikes left a number of terrorists killed and others injured.

Earlier, a terrorist group in Jbeib village set fire to a number of farmlands and fired mortar shells on farmers in al-Koukh area to the west of Ara town, 10 km southwest of Sweida city, injuring two civilians who were rushed to the National Hospital of Sweida for treatment.

Quneitra

In the neighboring Quneitra province, army units destroyed terrorists’ dens and vehicles in al-Hamidiyeh and Bir Ajam areas in the countryside of the province.

A unit of army killed a number of terrorists, most of them belong to the so- called Fajr al-Islam brigade and al-Furqan brigades, and destroyed their heavy-machinegun equipped vehicles at the west of Bear Ajam village, 18 kilometers southeast of Quneitra city, the source said.

In the western countryside of the province, military operations resulted in destroying vehicles and supply lines of terrorist organizations and killing a number of their members to the north of al-Hamediyeh village.

Damascus countryside

Units of the army and armed forces continued to bombard dens and positions of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and other Takfiri organizations in the southwestern countryside of Damascus.

According to the military source, army units carried out concentrated operations last night and on Thursday morning against positions and supply routes of Takfiri terrorist organizations in Beit Saber town, Beit Jin farms and the farms of al-Husainiyeh.

The source added that a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured in the operations and most of them were from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization, in addition to destroying their arms and ammunition.

The army air force, meanwhile, destroyed a hideout for terrorist organizations’ leaders and an ammunition depot in al-Nashabiyeh, Joubar and Tal Kurdi farms in Damascus Countryside.

Idleb

The Army Air Force destroyed gatherings and vehicles for terrorist organizations in Abu al-Duhour and the area surrounding it, Tal al-Louz, al-Hamediya, al-Majas and Ihsem in Idleb countryside, killing a number of terrorists affiliated to “al-Fateh Army.”

The Army airstrikes resulted in the destruction of vehicles equipped with machineguns and the elimination of many “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorists in Ihsem and al-Hamediya towns.

Lattakia

Army units killed a number of terrorists, among them a leader in Jabhat al-Nusra, and destroyed vehicles equipped with machineguns in Bradoun, al-Eido, Saqiet al-Kert and al-Furolluk in Lattakia northern countryside.

Homs

In central Syria, Army units launched accurate strikes against ISIS dens in Palmyra city, killing a number of terrorists in Homs northern countryside.

The army operations targeted dens for ISIS terrorists and destroyed vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in Palmyra.

Terrorists were killed and others injured during army operations in al-Msehirfeh al-Qiblieh and Habra Gharbieh in Jub al-Jarrah area in Homs eastern countryside.

Meanwhile, a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and others were injured in Tal Dao village and Talbiseh town in the province’s northern and northwestern countryside.

Hama

The Army air force destroyed terrorists’ gatherings in Kafar Zita, al-Lahaya, Ezz Eddin and west of Khneifis in Hama countryside, killing dozens and injuring many others.

Aleppo

The army killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in the neighborhoods of Salah-Eddin, al-Sukkari, al-Salehin, Bab al-Hadid, al-Maadi, Bab al-Nairab and al-Naanaei square in the city of Aleppo.

Army units destroyed many vehicles and killed terrorists in operations against their hideouts and movements in the villages of al-Jabboul, Jeb Ghabsha and Jebrin in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.

Many Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and their vehicles, which were equipped with heavy machine guns, were destroyed during army operations in Aziza village, 4 km to the southeast of Aleppo city.

Army units killed numbers of ISIS terrorists and destroyed their vehicles and weapons in the vicinity of the Air Force Academy, located on the international highway leading to Raqqa province.

Later, army units destroyed vehicles and dens for terrorist organizations in Halissa village north of Aleppo.

The Army launched intensive strikes against Jabhat al-Nusra dens in Dair Hafer, al-Khafseh, Deir Kak and Tal Alam, killing several terrorists and wounding others.

Hasaka

The army air force carried out a series of air strikes against hideouts and gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the countryside of the northeastern Hasaka province.

The air strikes, a military source told SANA, left many terrorists killed or injured, in addition to destroying a convoy of vehicles equipped with various types of machine guns, weapons and ammunition.

Meanwhile, army units and the national forces supporting them continued the combing operations in Ghweiran neighborhood after they establish full control over it on Wednesday.

In the same context, a source in Hasaka province told SANA that the engineering units dismantled a car bomb made up of 48 explosive devices, 50 kg each, in the neighborhood and seized large quantities of arms and ammunition left behind by ISIS terrorists after dozens of them were killed and the rest fled away.

The source said the army and the national backup forces continue hunting ISIS terrorists in the areas and neighborhoods they infiltrated.

Five citizens killed in terrorist rocket attacks in Aleppo

Five citizens were killed on Thursday and more than 90 others were wounded in terrorist attacks with rocket shells, fired by Takfiri organizations, on many residential neighborhoods in Aleppo.

A police source told SANA that a number of rocket shells were launched by terrorists, positioned in Bani Zaid and al-Rashideen, on al-Zaharra, al-Ashrafeya, Mughambo, University city and al-Nile street.

The attacks claimed the lives of five citizens and injured 90 others, causing material damages to houses, shops and cars.

Terrorists attack farmers in a village in Sweida, leaving two injured and fields burned

Sweida, SANA – A terrorist group in Jbeib village on the border between Daraa and Sweida provinces set fire to a number of fields and launched gunfire and mortar attacks on farmers in al-Koukh area to the west of Ara town, 10 km to the southwest of Sweida city.

A source in Sweida province said the attacks left two civilians injured, who were taken to the National Hospital of Sweida for treatment.

The source added that the popular defense groups, in cooperation with locals, confronted the terrorist group’s members and destroyed a vehicle for them with some of them on board.

Three days ago, a terrorist group set ablaze a number of fields to the west of Ara town, leaving two civilians injured and crops burned.

Defense Units Continued to Operate Against Daesh (ISIS) Terrorists Near Kobani, Raqqa and Hasakah

A major military operation by members of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) along with the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) continues in full force against Daesh-occupied areas to the south of Kobani, Rojava, Syria.

As July 1st part of this fresh operation, our forces targeted chain of the hilltops Mirawih and Makhravin, and finally managed to secure the two strategically located locations of terrorist elements.

During a fierce fight in this place 14 Daesh terrorists were confirmed killed, 9 other members wounded. Our troops could seize of weapons cache of the following arms: 12 AK rifles, 57 AK magazines, 2 PKM, 1 RPG rocket launcher, 5 RPG rockets, 6 hand grenades and a number of other military equipment. Also 8 corpses of the enemy forces were discovered on the battlefield.

Another operation is correspondingly taking place in Mezra Sofi district, last night in this area a suspected terrorist fighter who was hiding in rural countryside carrying 1 AK rifle, 2 hand grenades and 7 magazines was targeted and confirmed killed while trying to engage our combatants.

GIRE SPI (Tal Abyad), Rojava – Following Phase II of a major military campaign – Operation Commander Rubar Qamishlo – on the 57th uninterrupted day, combined forces of the People’s/Women’s Defense Units, alongside fighters from the Burkan al-Firat (Euphrates Volcano – FSA) Joint Ops. Room from both Kobanê and Cizîrê (Jazira) Cantons continue to advance near the town of Ain Issa, Raqqa.

Another assault operation was conducted by the Defense Units last night near the village of Mishrefa on the triangle of the roads to Raqqa, Gire Spi and Kobani. As result of the overnight move two villages to the west and southwest of Mishrefa were cleansed of Daesh forces. The enemy’s possible casualties in heavy clashes that occurred there were not immediately verified.

HASAKAH, Rojava –Our forces at the same time led an attack against a number of the terrorist units which were taking position on Hasakah-Shadadi road. Violent clashes were experienced near the site as the terrorists attempted to return fire, there was no further word on the terrorists’ dead or wounded.

One of our comrades who contributed a great support to the operation, fought heroically and was martyred on the fields of battle.

Syrian Army Destroys Terrorists’ Large Convoy in Daraa
TEHRAN (FNA)

Army forces destroyed a convoy of 50 vehicles carrying military equipment and weapons for ISIL terrorists in Reef (countryside of) Daraa, Southeastern Syria.

The attack was carried out on Thursday after one of the Syrian army units gained intelligence about the convoy and its cargo in Saida town in Reef Daraa.

In a relevant development on Monday, at least 34 Chechen terrorists were killed in Daraa as the Syrian forces launched several strikes against the positions of the Takfiri militants.

The Chechen fighters who were some of the most well-trained terrorists had entered Saida town in Eastern Reef (countryside of) Daraa and hid in a cottage.

The Syrian army forces tracked down the Chechen group’s moves to the cottage and then received the order to destroy the hideout and kill all those residing in it.

The cottage was then destroyed when the Chechen snipers had a meeting with one of their ringleaders and tens of them were killed and wounded, most of them in critical conditions.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.

Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
