ISIS Trapped in Hasaka While Syrian Army Counter-terror Operations Continue Across the Country

At 0230 hours last night, 34 Chechen marksmen entered Nasib Border Crossing coming from Jordan, and were moved under heavy security to a safe-house used by terrorists in Saida town in Dar`aa’s countryside.

691 ISIL Terrorists Killed across Syria in Past 24 Hours

TEHRAN (FNA)- At least 691 ISIL terrorists have been killed in fierce clashes between the Syrian army and the Takfiri group in the provinces of Hasaka and Deir Ezzur in the past 24 hours, a top military source confirmed.

According to the Syrian Army’s Central Command, the army troops made major gains in their military campaign against the ISIL in Hasaka on Monday and managed to claim the lives of more than 444 militants in the flashpoint province.

Elsewhere in the Arab country, the Syrian forces gained the upper hand over the Takfiri group in Deir Ezzur province and killed over 247 terrorists across the area.

The source added that 13 high-profile leaders of the terror group were identified among the dead.

Earlier in the day, the Syrian troops cleared ISIL militants from the al-Nashwa neighborhood in Hasaka, killing dozens of the ISIL militants and destroying a number of their vehicles.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.

Syrian Forces Kill 34 Notorious Chechen Terrorists in Daraa

TEHRAN (FNA)- At least 34 Chechen terrorists were killed in the Southeastern province of Daraa on Monday as the Syrian forces launched several strikes against the positions of the Takfiri militants.

The Chechen fighters who were some of the most well-trained terrorists had entered Saida town in Eastern Reef (countryside of) Daraa and hid in a cottage.

The Syrian army forces tracked down the Chechen group’s moves to the cottage and then received the order to destroy the hideout and kill all those residing in it.

The cottage was then destroyed when the Chechen snipers had a meeting with one of their ringleaders and tens of them were killed and wounded, most of them in critical conditions.

Also in April, at least 50 Chechen terrorists were killed in the Northwestern province of Idlib as the Syrian warplanes launched several strikes against the positions of the Takfiri militants.

The Syrian fighter jets targeted the fighting positions of the Takfiri terrorists in Idlib and its nearby areas, killing more than 50 Chechen militants.

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Regains Control of Strategic District in Hasaka City

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army purged a strategic district in the city of Hasaka in Northern Syria of ISIL Takfiri terrorists.

The army units regained control of Sakina district in Hasaka city. Sakina was considered an important stronghold of the terrorists in Hasaka.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army confirmed that its forces took full control over a main residential quarter in the strategically located Northeastern city of Hasaka.

The city had been captured several days ago by the ISIL militants.

The army “cleansed” militants from the Southern district of Nashwa in the city.

On Sunday, the Syrian government confirmed that the army troops have secured the Northeastern city of Hasaka, rejecting reports that the ISIL terrorists are still in control of the main buildings there.

Meantime, a senior ISIL Takfiri terrorist commander was executed by the rival terrorist group, the Al-Nusra Front, in Eastern Lebanon.

Al-Nusra Front terrorists executed Hesam Tarrad nicknamed Abu Bakr in al-Malahi district in the border town of Arsal in Eastern Lebanon, al-Ahd news website reported.

Tarrad’s execution comes while the infighting between the ISIL and Al-Nusra Front has entered a new phase in the Western parts of Syria and Eastern Lebanon.

The al-Nusra Front and the ISIL overran the Eastern Lebanese town of Arsal, situated 124 kilometers (77 miles) Northeast of the capital, Beirut, last August, killing and capturing more than three dozen soldiers and security forces.

Also, former Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces Mehmet Ilker Basbug called on Ankara to revise its policies and support President Bashar al-Assad’s government in settling the crisis in Northern Syria.

“Fighting the ISIL in Northern Syria should be pursued by the Syrian government forces,” Basbug said.

He asked the Turkish government to improve and normalize relations with the Damascus government, and said, “If Turkey comes to support the central government in Syria, finding a proper solution to settle the crisis in Northern Syria will be easier.”

His remarks came after certain Arab media claimed on Sunday that Turkey is paving the ground for military intervention in Syria amid the Syrian army and Kurdish forces’ united operations to defend their lands against the ISIL in the Northeastern city of Hasaka.

The London-based al-Hayat newspaper reported that 12,000 Turkish forces are ready for military intervention in Syria under the pretext of creating a buffer zone to protect the Turkish borders against the threat of the terrorist groups.

Meantime, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said that the United States has never hidden its support for the terrorists fighting in Syria.

“We believe that the Syrian problem needs a political solution,” Muallem said in a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Itar-Tass reported.

“However, 2,100 militants with most advanced weapons were recently deployed in Syria’s South,” he said.

“The Americans are making no secret of their support for terrorists. We are facing double standards.”

Muallem accused Washington of allocating $1 billion to supports terrorists fighting in Syria.
