Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Bashar al-Jaafari discussed on Tuesday with Acting Head of Mission of the UN Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) Alan Doyle, and the accompanying delegation work of the mission and the importance of its role.
Al-Jaafari affirmed Syria’s support for the work of the mission in the framework of implementing its mandate since its establishment in 1948, especially as it is an eyewitness to the violations of the Israeli entity of the truce line, stressing the need for the mission to carry out its tasks in terms of conveying the facts and the realities to the Security Council and other United Nations bodies, especially the Israeli attacks and its violations of the truce agreement which pose threat to peace and security in the region.
For his part, Doyle thanked Syria for its support and cooperation with the mission in order to implement its mandate in the required manner, pointing out to the continuation of the work of the mission to consolidate security and stability in the region.
