He pointed out that the new batches are preparing to be transferred to Libya in exchange for a return of some mercenaries from Tripoli, in order to calm the mercenaries’ anger after reducing their salaries.

Abdul Rahman noted that replacements were done over the past days, batches left in return for others came. He indicated that Turkey has increased secrecy over its actions in Libya, especially in the transfer and return of mercenaries. Ankara is now waiting for the outcome of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF).

Abdul Rahman said that Turkey wants to compromise the new executive authority and the international community with the issue of the mercenaries, so it has not returned them to Syria so far in accordance with the 5+5 Joint Military Committee’s agreement. The 5+5 agreement required that all mercenaries and foreign fighters leave Libyan territory by land, sea and air in a maximum period of three months since last October.

he warned about the fate of Erdogan’s mercenaries in Libya, warning attempts of dozens of terrorists to flee to Europe through Italy.

“Not allowing them to return to Syria and not giving them their monthly salaries, with the constant cut off, pushes them to knock Europe’s doors,” said the head of the Syrian Observatory.
