TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian security forces foiled a terrorist attack in the outskirts of Damascus on Sunday morning.
The terrorists tried to explode a parcel in Southern al-Motehaleq near a Syrian Army military point in the suburbs of Damascus, but the Syrian Army foiled their attempt.
The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen TV network announced that an explosive package was seized from the terrorists and defused it through controlled detonation in Southern Al-Motehalaq region in the outskirts of Damascus.
Meantime, the Syrian State-Run news agency reported that a terrorist has been arrested in connection to the foiled terrorist attack.
Moreover, the Arabic-language RT quoted some media activists as saying that the Syrian security forces have also defused a second bomb plot and they are chasing the terrorists.
Syrian Army Destroys Terrorists’ Positions, Military Equipment, in Hama, Idlib
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Damascus Army pounded and destroyed several military positions of the foreign militants in Hama and Idlib provinces, as it warded off fresh attacks by terrorists on government troops from the demilitarized zone.
The artillery and missile units of the Syrian Army stationed in Northern Hama pounded the military positions of the Turkistani Islamic Party terrorist group near the villages of Badama and al-Najieh, West of Jisr al-Shoghour in Western Idlib, destroying several of their positions and military equipment.
Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.
The Syrian Army targeted and destroyed several military positions of the foreign militants in Hama and Idlib provinces, as it warded off fresh attacks by terrorists on government troops from the demilitarized zone.
The Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units stationed in Northern Hama heavily pounded the military positions of the Turkistani Islamic Party terrorist group near the villages of Badama and al-Najieh, West of Jisrt al-Shoghour in Western Idlib, destroying several of their positions and military equipment.
The Syrian Army’s artillery units also targeted a group of terrorists who intended to penetrate into the Syrian Army’s military positions from the town of Atshan in Northern Hama, killing all members of the terrorist group, including its foreign members.
The Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units in the town of al-Hamamiat in Mahradeh region in Northern Hama targeted a group of terrorists who planned a raid on Syrian Army’s military positions near Tal al-Sakhar village, killing and injuring a number of them.
Meantime, a large number of terrorists were killed in the Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units’ attacks near the towns of Mourek, Tal Bazam, al-Latamanieh in Northern Hama. The terrorists’ weaponry and military equipment were also destroyed in the Syrian Army attacks.
A large number of terrorists were killed and wounded in a huge bomb blast in a bastion of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorists in the city of Idlib as tensions have intensified in the region.
A bomb-laden vehicle exploded at a Tahrir al-Sham center on Ariha Road in the Southern part of Idlib City, battlefield sources in Northern Syria said.
The sources reiterated that at least 12 terrorists were killed and over 20 others were also wounded.
In Northern Idlib, Tahrir al-Sham commander Abdul Javad, nom du guerre Abu Fahd Turki, was gunned down by unknown assailants near the town of Ma’arat Masrin.
Meantime, three other Tahrir al-Sham terrorists were killed by unknown gunmen near the town of Sarmada in Northern Idlib.
A number of soldiers of the Turkish Army and the Ankara-backed militants were killed in a military raid by the Kurdish forces in Afrin in Northwestern Aleppo, media reports said.
The Kurdish fighters during their military operations against the Turkish Army and its affiliated militants in Afrin region pounded a military position of Ahrar al-Sham terrorists and Turkish army troops in Jandariseh region of Afrin, severely wounding two Turkish Army soldiers and five Ankara-backed militants, the Kurdish-language media Hawar News reported.
It noted that five members of Farqa al-Hamza and Jbahat al-Shamia were killed and three others were wounded in three consecutive military operations by the Kurdish forces against the Turkish Army and Ankara-backed militants in the Center of Afrin as well as Shirawa and Shara regions in recent days.
Meantime, battlefield sources in Northern Aleppo reported that during the Syrian Democratic Forces’ missile attack on a military position of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in Kimar village in Afrin region, a terrorist was killed and five others were wounded.
Also, the Turkish Army and its affiliated militants launched mortar and tank attacks on Soqankeh village from Kimar village.
Several civilians were killed and wounded in the US-led coalition air assaults on residential areas in Eastern Deir Ezzur.
“At least 20 civilians, including women and children, were killed in the US airstrikes on a residential area in Southeastern Deir Ezzur,” local sources were quoted as saying.
The sources noted that the US-led coalition’s warplanes targeted tens of families who were fleeing the areas under ISIL’s control, including al-Baqouz Foqani village and its surrounding areas, killing and injuring over 20 and injuring many more.
They said the death toll is on rise due to the deteriorating health conditions of a large number of those injured in the attacks.
Army Targets ISIL’s Movements in Eastern Deserts of Homs Province
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army heavily pounded the terrorists’ movements and positions in Badiya (desert) region, including Avirez Dam, Humeimem and along the border regions with Deir Ezzur province in Eastern Homs.
Field sources also reported that the Syrian Army destroyed several terrorists’ targets, killing and wounding a large number of them.
The sources also said that the Syrian Army engaged in heavy clashes with the ISIL terrorists in the Northeastern part of Jabal al-Gharb in Eastern desert of Palmyra, killing and wounding a number of militants as well as destroying their military equipment.
In a relevant development on Friday, the Syrian Army in a ambush operation foiled an attempt by the Washington-backed terrorists stationed in Al-Tanf region near the border with Iraq on secure positions around Palmyra in Homs province, killing a number of them.
The Syrian Army’s military units in Eastern Homs, conducted an ambush and managed to foil an attempt by a group of terrorists supported by the US who intended to penetrate into secure regions in Southern Palmyra through al-Hableh Desert from al-Tanf region.
The Syrian Army troops in their military operations destroyed the military vehicles belonging to the terrorists, killing all the militants and seizing a large volume of weapons and military equipment.
In Eastern Palmyra, the Syrian Army units also warded off an attack by another terrorist group on al-Talileh region 20 kilometers from Palmyra, arresting three terrorists and seizing their military equipment.
Meantime, the terrorist groups carried out several attacks on Syrian Army’s military positions in desert regions of Homs province from al-Tanf region which is under the occupation of the US-backed militants.

The army foils terrorist infiltration attempts in Hama countryside

SANA reporter said on Sunday that units of army carried out military operations against the terrorist groups in Beit al-Ras village in Hama northern countryside, inflicting them heavy losses in personnel and equipment.
Meanwhile, the reporter added that other army units foiled attempts of terrorists to infiltrate from Kfar Zeita in Hama northern countryside into safe village and military points in the region.
