In the Last 24 Hours: Syrian, Russian Military Convoys Sent to Hama, Idlib after Heightened Tensions

TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian and Russian armies sent new military convoys to the strategic points in Hama and Idlib provinces as terrorists increased attacks on army positions in the demilitarized zone.

“A Russian military convoy, consisting of several armored, military, engineering and personnel carrier vehicles, has been sent to the strategic village of Salba in the Southern parts of the town of Hayalin in Western Hama,” field sources in Northern Syria reported on Thursday.

The Syrian army also sent several military convoys to Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, the sources said, adding that over 250 forces of the Syrian army’s fifth Division along with extensive military equipment, including 15 military vehicles and tens of trucks carrying weapons and equipment, were dispatched to the strategic town of al-Moshirfeh in Southeastern parts of the town of Abu Dali in Southeastern Idlib.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama-Idlib

Field sources in Northern Syria reported on Thursday that a Russian military convoy, comprising several armored, military, engineering and personnel carrier vehicles, have been sent to the strategic village of Salba in the Southern parts of the town of Hayalin in Western Hama.

They added that the Syrian army also sent several military convoys to Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, noting that over 250 forces of the Syrian army’s fifth Division along with extensive military equipment, including 15 military vehicles and tens of trucks carrying weapons and equipment, were dispatched to the strategic town of al-Moshirfeh in Southeastern parts of the town of Abu Dali in Southeastern Idlib.

Meantime, the Syrian army units in Northern Hama targeted the terrorists in the town of al-Latamineh and its surrounding areas with artillery fire, leaving heavy tolls on them.

Also, Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at has gained control of 80 percent of regions occupied by other terrorist groups in Idlib, Hama, Aleppo and Lattakia during infighting among militants in Northern Syria in the past 9 days.

Raqqa

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sent a military convoy to Raqqa province near the borders with Turkey as reports of Ankara’s imminent operations against the Kurds in Eastern Euphrates region are looming.

Field sources in Raqqa province reported that the SDF has dispatched its forces and equipment from Raqqa city to the borders with Turkey in the province.

They added that over 140 SDF forces have been transferred from Kandal square to the town of Tal Abyadh in Northern Raqqa near the borders with Turkey to reinvigorate their positions against the impending attack of the Turkish army and its affiliated militants.

The sources said in another development, the SDF has also detained a number of its defected members in different parts of Raqqa.

The possibility for the Turkish army’s military operations against the Kurds in Eastern Euphrates has increased as tensions between Washington and Ankara have heightened over the Kurdish forces.

Aleppo

At least 15 Ankara-backed militants and Turkish soldiers were killed and wounded in successive operations by the Kurdish fighters in Afrin and the nearby areas in Northwestern Aleppo in the current week.

The Kurdish-language Hawar news reported on Thursday that the Kurdish forces destroyed an armored vehicle of the Turkish army in operations against them in Afrin, killing a Turkish soldier and wounding two others.

It added that during the operations near the town of Kaljabrin in A’azaz region in Western Aleppo, a military vehicle of the Ankara-backed militants was smashed and 5 of them were killed and wounded.

Meantime, at least 7 Ankara-affiliated militants were killed and wounded and their military vehicle was destroyed during the Kurdish forces’ operations against the Turkish army in Afrin and Mar’e region in Western Aleppo earlier this week.

The Turkish army and its allied militants continue to occupy parts of Northwestern Aleppo, as local sources say Ankara has turned several villages in Afrin region to military bases.

The Turkish army and its allies have expelled the residents of Jia border village in Raju area of Afrin in Northwestern Aleppo and turned their village to a military base, Hawar news reported on Sunday.

Syrian Army Destroys Terrorists’ Military Positions in Hama, Idlib

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army destroyed several key targets of the militants in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib in response to continued attacks by the terrorist groups in the demilitarized zone.

In Northern Hama, the Syrian army units pounded the military positions and movements of the terrorists who were trying to penetrate into the government forces’ posts from the town of Tal al-Sakhar, inflicting heavy losses and casualties on the terrorists.

Meantime, a field sources said that the Syrian Army also destroyed several military positions of Jeish al-Izzah terrorists in al-Latamanieh in Northern Hama. The terrorists used their military positions in al-Latamanieh for attacking the Syrian army’s military positions and residential areas in Northern Hama.

Other Syrian Army’s units in Southeastern Idlib responded to the terrorists’ attacks by targeting and destroying their positions in al-Tah town; a number of terrorists were killed and wounded in the Syrian army attacks on their military positions in Southern Idlib.

This is while Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front), during infighting with rival terrorists groups, has taken control of all areas in the demilitarized zone in Aleppo, Idlib, Hama and Lattakia provinces.
