TEHRAN (FNA)- Over 15 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed in the US-led coalition fighter jets’ airstrike in Southeastern Deir Ezzur, local sources reported on Sunday.
The sources said that the warplanes targeted residential units near Khalid Bin Walid in the small town of Hajin in Southeastern Deir Ezzur on Saturday, killing at least 15 civilians, mostly women and children, and injuring tens of others.
Last week US warplanes targeted several districts in the town of Hajin in Eastern Deir Ezzur with white phosphorous bombs which are forbidden internationally.
This was the second time in a month that the US-led coalition’s fighter jets attacked Deir Ezzur with banned weapons under the pretext of fighting the ISIL.

Deir Ezzor, SANA- The US-led coalition on Saturday launched a new aggression on the Syrian territories under the pretext of combating Daesh, bombarding residential buildings in Hajin city in Deir Ezzor province, killing and wounding dozens of civilians.
According to local sources, the US-led coalition carried out airstrikes during the past hours, which are considered the most aggressive ones in several months, on the residential neighborhood in Hajin city, 110 KM east of Deir Ezzor city.
The sources said the coalition’s aggression claimed the lives of 15 civilians and wounded others, most of them women and children who had been living in the houses near Khaled Ibn al-Waleed Mosque.
On October 29th, the US-led coalition launched attacks on several areas in Hajin using internationally-banned white phosphorus bombs.
