Syrian army advances towards Badiyah of Sweida

Syrian army units continued their military operations towards Badiyah of Sweida, targeting Daesh (ISIS) terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings and canvassing large areas to cleanse them of terrorists’ remnant hotbeds.

SANA reporter stated that the Syrian army, in cooperation with backup forces, advanced 15 km into the eastern and north-eastern countryside of Sweida, taking control over strategic sites and hills.

The reporter added that the Syrian air force carried out intensive airstrikes against Daesh terrorists’ center in Sheikh Hassan tomb area east to Khirbet al-Ambashi, 20 km in the depth of Sweida’s Badiyah, killing more than 70 terrorists and destroying their weapons, ammunition and vehicles.

On the other hand, army units and backup forces foiled infiltration attempts by Daesh terrorists and engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists near al-Husn area, leaving scores of them killed and injured.

Army hunts down terrorists in Hama countryside, cuts off their supply routes

Units of the Syrian Arab Army destroyed fortified sites for terrorist organizations in the far northern countryside of Hama province and cut off their supply routes in the direction of Idleb’s southern countryside.

SANA’s reporter said that army units directed artillery strikes on terrorists’ fortified sites and supply routes in the village of Lahaya and al-Latamina town, about 35 km to the north of Hama city, destroying their positions which were used for monitoring, attacking, and infiltrating the army’s posts in the area.

Scores of terrorists were killed and others were injured due to the strikes, in addition to the destruction of their weapons and ammunition.


Meanwhile, army units working in northeastern countryside of Lattakia, thwarted an attack by terrorist groups on the direction of al-Hayat village to the north of al-Rabia area, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists ranks and equipment.

Families returingn to their homes in Quneitra countryside

Hundreds of citizens returned to their liberated villages and towns in Quneitra province after clearing them from terrorism.

SANA’s reporter said that tens of families from the villages and towns of Jubatha al-Khashab, Tranja, Ofania, and Ayn al-Baida in Quneitra countryside are returning to home after cleansing those areas from IEDs and mines left behind by terrorist organizations.

After the deployment of the Syrian Arab Army at the points where it was positioned before 2011 and securing the city of Quneitra and most of the villages and towns from terrorism, units of the Internal Security Forces entered the area in parallel with the beginning of repairing the infrastructure and providing food and health assistance to the citizens until the state’s institutions resume their work in full.

Food items and health services provided for locals of al-Yarmouk Basin

In framework of providing the needs of citizens in the areas to which the Syrian Arab Army restored security and stability, the Relief Subcommittee in Daraa province sent flour and drinking water to a number of towns in al-Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside.

SANA reporter in Daraa said that in framework of supporting the locals till ending the works of restoring and fixing water networks and the bread facilities, the Relief Subcommittee sent 1,000 bags of flour to the towns of al-Shajara, Abdin, Ma’aryia, Koyia and Beit Arah, in addition to sending 4 tanks of drinking water.

Meanwhile, teams of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC)/ Daraa Branch headed for Daraa accompanied by three mobile clinics with specialist doctors and nursing cadre to provide health services for patients in the towns of Ma’aryia and Koyia.

Two ambulances were also sent to transport the cases which need a treatment at the public hospitals in Daraa.

The reporter indicated that SARC teams distributed an amount of medicines for the chronic diseases and children medicines among the locals who had lived in harsh circumstances when the area was controlled by terrorists.

Member of SARC/ Daraa Branch Dr. Khaled al-Omari noted that SARC teams are providing all types of medical services for the locals.

A number of the locals in the town of Ma’aryia expressed hope that SARC medical teams will continue to provide care for them till rehabilitating health centers which had been destroyed at the hands of terrorists.
