Army advances in Daraa western countryside

Units of the Syrian Arab Army advanced in the direction of Tal al-Ashari and Jelin town in the western countryside of Daraa after inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists’ ranks and equipment.

SANA’s reporter in Daraa said that army units operating in the western part of Daraa province carried out artillery strikes in the direction of Tal al-Ashari to the west of Tafas city, expanding its control over the remaining area where terrorists are positioned.

The reporter added that army units continued advancing in the direction of Zaizoun town near the Jordanian border till Jelin amid a state of collapse and chaos in the terrorists’ ranks after scores of them were killed and others injured while the rest fled towards the neighboring areas.

Al-Nusra fire shells on al-Baath city in Quneitra

Material damage was caused on Wednesday due to a terrorist attack with shells on citizens’ houses in al-Baath City in Quneitra.

SANA’s reporter in Quneitra said that terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra positioned in the western countryside of Daraa fired six shells on al-Baath City which landed on the al-Omali neighborhood on the outskirts of the city, causing only material damage.

Army units responded to the attack by bombarding the area from which the shells were fired in al-Hamidiyeh village and al-Alam roundabout to the east of Quneitra city.

Army discovers US-made weapons left behind by terrorists in Daraa eastern countryside

Units of the Syrian Arab Army discovered heavy, medium, and light weapons, some of which are US-made TOW missile launch pads left behind by terrorists in eastern countryside of Daraa.

A field commander said that the army units on Wednesday found underneath caches for the terrorists groups in a number of the villages and towns in southeastern and northeastern countryside of Daraa, including US TOW launch pads, US-made armored vehicles, armored vehicles equipped with machineguns 14,5-57 and 30, tanks and anti-aircraft guns.

SANA reporter said that the seized weapons also included 120mm, 82mm, 60mm mortar launchers, various munitions, RPGs, and sniper weapons, in addition to a tunnel excavator used by the terrorists to facilitate their movement and protect themselves from the strikes of the Syrian Arab Army.

Armed groups in Busra al-Sham continue handing over heavy weapons to Syrian Army

Armed groups positioned in Busra al-Sham city on Wednesday handed over new amount of heavy weapons to the Syrian Arab Army.

SANA’s reporter said that the received weapons included 57 mm and 37 mm cannons, three TOW missiles along with their launch pads.

Few days ago, an agreement was reached between the Syrian government and terrorist groups in Busra al-Sham city which stipulates that a ceasefire begins and terrorists surrender their heavy and medium weapons in all cities and towns.

The agreement also stipulates for settling the legal status of militants who wish to remain in the area, and for the terrorists who reject the settlement to leave with their families to Idleb and that the Syrian state take control of all observation points on the entirety of the Syrian-Jordanian border, as well as the return of displaced people to their cities and towns along with the return of state establishments to them after terrorists leave.
