Less than two days after the defeat of terrorists in the nearby al-Nu’aima town and raising the Syrian flag over the Nassib border crossing, the streets of Daraa city are witnessing more activity, as locals are feeling safer after years of being subjected to shelling and sniper attacks carried out by the terrorists who had been present in the town for years.
With the liberation of al-Nu’aima and the deployment of army personnel in Nassib crossing, which connects Syria to Jordan, locals in Daraa are feeling hopeful that this will pave the way for clearing the southern and southeastern part of their city from the terrorists that remain in Daraa al-Balad, al-Sad Road, and al-Nazihin Camp areas.
The victories of the Syrian Arab Army and the reconciliations that are taking place across the province have had a positive impact on activity and commerce in the city, as the locals SANA’s correspondent spoke to said that the liberation of Nassib crossing will have a positive impact on economy in Daraa in particular and Syria in general after it is repaired and resumes activity.
The locals also said that al-Nu’aima had been a source of terrorist shelling attacks that had targeted Daraa city, and now they feel more at ease and hopeful that safety, security, and stability will be restored fully.

Syrian Army establishes control over Um al-Mayazen town in Daraa eastern countryside

Units of Syrian Arab Army restored control over Um al-Mayazen town, 10 km to the east of Daraa city, after eliminating the last gatherings of terrorist organizations.
A military source said that army units, backed by the allied forces, carried out intensive operations against terrorists’ gatherings and fortified sites in Um al-Mayazen town to the north of Nassib town near the Jordanian border.
The source added that recapturing the town came after eliminating a number of terrorists, destroying their weapons and equipment and seizing amounts of arms and ammunition.
Syrian Army secures international highway from Nassib crossing to Khirbat Ghazala Bridge in Daraa

Units of Syrian Arab Army secured the international highway extending from Nassib crossing to Khirbat Ghazala Bridge to the north of Daraa city after about a three year closure due to terrorist attacks.
SANA’s reporter in Daraa said that the after sweeping the road and its surroundings by the army’s engineering units, the technical workshops in Daraa governorate started removing the barriers set by terrorists to block the road amid plans to assess the damage caused to Nassib center with a view to having it rehabilitated as soon as possible.
Daraa Governor Mohammad Khaled al-Hannous told reporters that the international road needs to be checked at several points because of the damage caused by terrorist car-bomb explosions at the sites of Jisr al-Najih and Khirbat Ghazala.
Director of the Technical Services Kamal Barmo told reporter that after the army entered Nassib crossing, the engineering machinery began to remove barriers and obstacles from the international road between the crossing and Khirbet Ghazala Bridge as an emergency solution to put it in service within the next few days. The whole road will be rehabilitated after being inspected by a specialized committee of the Ministry of Transport.
On Saturday, the Syrian Arab Army members deployed at the Nassib crossing with Jordan about 15 kilometers to the south of Daraa city to stabilize the security situation after defeating terrorist groups.
Armed groups in Busra al-Sham hand over more heavy weapons to Syrian Army

Armed groups positioned in Busra al-Sham city continued to hand over their heavy weapons to the Syrian Arab Army.
SANA’s reporter said that the received weapons included two tanks.
On Friday, an agreement was reached between the Syrian government and terrorist groups in Busra al-Sham city which stipulates that a ceasefire begins and terrorists surrender their heavy and medium weapons in all cities and towns.
The agreement also stipulates for settling the legal status of militants who wish to remain in the area, and for the terrorists who reject the settlement to leave with their families to Idleb and that the Syrian state take control of all observation points on the entirety of the Syrian-Jordanian border, as well as the return of displaced people to their cities and towns along with the return of state establishments to them after terrorists leave.
