Army Repels Terrorists’ Attack on Government Positions in Homs

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army soldiers warded off terrorists’ attack on their positions in Homs province after hours of clashes, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The terrorist attack to capture the government forces’ positions in the Western Homs were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.


Syrian Army’s border guards opened heavy fire at a group of terrorists deployed in Lebanon that tried to cross the borderline and enter Syria, pushing them back.

A group of terrorists, organized in Lebanon, tried to make an illegal crossing South of al-Badouseh area in Tal Kalakh region and enter Western Homs, but the Syrian border guards’ heavy fire forced them to retreat.

A number of the terrorists were killed or wounded and their remaining pockets retreated to evade more casualties.

Well-informed sources reported last week that the army troops engaged in heavy fighting with terrorists in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on them.

The sources said that the army men exchanged heavy fire with ISIL in al-Mo’ayzaliyah region near Homs border with Deir Ezzur province, killing a number of militants and destroying their equipment.

Also, the Syrian Air Force pounded ISIL’s positions in Eastern Badiyeh (desert) and near Mount al-Mohassa in Southeastern Homs, destroying their positions and killing a number of them.

In the meantime, the army’s missile and artillery units shelled heavily terrorists’ strongholds near the towns of al-Qantou and al-Sa’an region and the village of Tir Ma’ala after militants violated ceasefire and targeted the army positions in Northern Homs.


Abu Talib al-Yadawi, a senior commander of Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board), has been killed in clashes with ISIL terrorists in Yarmouk Palestinian Refugee Camp in the Southern countryside of Damascus city, Arab media sources reported on Sunday.

The Arabic-language al-Watan daily reported that ISIL imposed full control over Mashrou’a al-Wasim region in Yarmouk camp after heavy fighting with Al-Nusra.

The daily added that a number of members of both warring sides, including Al-Nusra Emir Abu Talib al-Yadawi, were killed in the clashes.

The ISIL is in control of 70 percent of the camp, the Al-Nusra controls 25 percent of the camp and the remaining part in under the control of Palestinian Resistance Forces, al-Watan said, adding that 2,000 ISIL terrorists and 170 gunmen of Al-Nusra are stationed in the camp.

The ISIL stormed the positions of Al-Nusra Front on Saturday and managed to push the rival terrorist group back from more points in the Yarmouk Palestinian Refugee Camp in the Southern countryside of Damascus city.

The ISIL captured al-Melion and al-Mashrou’a neighborhoods in Yarmouk camp in the Southern countryside of Damascus city after heavy clashes with Al-Nusra.

A number of members of both warring sides, including two Al-Nusra commanders, were killed in the infighting.


A sum of 1,614 Kurdish gunmen have thus far been killed or captured in the Turkish Army forces’ operation in Afrin in Northwestern Aleppo, the Turkish Army General Staff said in its latest statement on Sunday.

The statement said that the Turkish army men and Ankara-backed militants continued Operation Olive Branch against the Kurds in Afrin, adding that a sum of 1,614 Kurdish fighters have been killed or captured in the operation that started on January 20.

In relevant developments on Saturday the Turkish Army forwarded more troops and military hardware to the border with Syria to continue assault on the Kurdish militias as a number of Arab media outlets claimed that the Syrian army plans to deploy in Afrin to stand against the Turkish aggression.

The sources said that the Turkish army sent a convoy of military vehicles and ambulances to Hatay province at the border with Syria’s Idlib to further join the Ankara forces’ operation against the Kurds in Northern Aleppo.

The sources said that the convoy includes several personnel carrier vehicles, adding that the convoy is to be sent to Afrin to join Operation Olive Branch in Northwestern Aleppo.

Terrorist Centers in Hama Receive Severe Blow in Syrian Armed Forces’ Attacks

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army’s artillery units and Aircraft pounded the positions and movements of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Northern and Southwestern Hama, inflicting major losses on the militants, field sources reported on Monday.

The Syrian Air Force carried out a number of heavy bombardments against the Al-Nusra positions and movements in the villages and towns of Kafr Zita, al-Zaka and al-Khowein in Northern Hama, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their vehicles.

Also, the artillery units shelled terrorists’ positions in the village of Salim in Southeastern Hama and the village of Kafr Laha Southwest of Masyaf region, killing or wounding a number of militants and destroying their equipment.

Other sources said on Friday that the army men, backed up by the artillery units, engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra West of the town of al-Salamiyah and near Beit al-Mahrouq in al-Satahiyat region and fended off their attack.

The Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties and is military hardware sustained major damage in the failed attack.

In the meantime, the terrorists fired several rockets at Mahrada power plant in Western Hama, damaging part of it.

Army destroys al-Nusra terrorists’ dens and equipment in Hama countryside

Army units continued operations against remnants of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Hama southeastern countryside.

SANA reporter in Hama said that army units, in cooperation with the supporting forces, on Monday carried out bombardments and airstrikes against positions of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in the area of Salem in Hama southeastern countryside, destroying their fortified positions, dens and military equipment.

15 citizens injured due to shelling attacks in Damascus, its Countryside and Homs

15 civilians, among them children, were injured Monday in attacks by armed groups who targeted Damascus and its countryside with sells.

Earlier, the armed groups positioned in Eastern Ghouta fired several shells on al-Madaris Street in the vicinity of Bab al-Salam in al-Amara area, injuring six civilians, including children, and causing material damage to public and private properties, a source at Damascus Police Command told SANA.

A source at Damascus Countryside Police Command said ten other shells landed in the vicinity of Harasta residential suburb, causing only material damage.

Another shell was landed in the surroundings of Ibn Sina Hospital, according to the source.

A material damage was caused due to an attack with two shells on the neighborhoods of Jaramana city, the source added.

Later, the source said that three citizens were injured and a materail damage was caused when the armed groups fired a shell on al-Sayyeda Zainab.

In a response to the attacks, units of the Syrian Arab Army directed precision strikes on the areas from which the shells were launched, destroying a number of launching pads and inflicting losses upon the armed groups.

Woman injured due to shelling attacks by armed groups in Homs

A woman was injured when the armed groups fired shells on a number of villages in Homs countryside in a new violation of the de-escalation zone agreement to the north of Homs city.

SANA’s reporter in Homs said that the armed groups fired a number of shells on Ayn al-Dananier village in northeastern countryside of Homs, causing the injury of a woman.

The reporter added that armed groups positioned in al-Houla area targeted with mortar shells the villages of Akrad al-Dasnieh and kafarnan to the northwest of Homs city, causing material damage to the citizens’ houses and properties.

Units of Syrian Arab Army responded to the attacks by striking the areas from which the shells were launched, destroying a number of rocket launching pads.

A child killed, eight injured in the continuous Turkish aggression on Afrin

A child was killed and eight others were injured due to Turkish regime’s continued aggression with various kinds of weapons on Afrin city and its outskirts in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

SANA reporter was informed by civil sources that the Turkish regime’s continued aggression on the citizens in Afrin claimed the life of girl and injured eight other children, adding that it also caused material damage to infrastructures and citizens’ houses.

Insecurity Intensifies in Terrorist-Held Regions in Northwestern Syria

TEHRAN (FNA)- Militant-held regions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces have been covered with a fresh wave of insecurity again as heavy infighting among the terrorists has been on the rise in Northwestern Syria in the last three months, local sources said.

The sources reported that aggravating insecurity has continued in terrorist-held regions in Western Aleppo and Northern Idlib, specially along the Aleppo-Bab al-Hawa road at the border with Turkey in the last three months.

The sources went on to say that assassination and plundering have both increased unprecedentedly in terrorist-held regions of the two provinces, adding that civilians are afraid of movements in Western Aleppo and Northern Idlib.

Other local sources reported on Wednesday that the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) accelerated looting infrastructures in Aleppo province and selling them to costumers in Turkey as the Syrian Army troops were rapidly advancing against terrorists in Northwestern Syria.

The sources said that Al-Nusra embarked on separating components of al-Zarbeh railway to sell them as raw material in the Turkish market.

In a relevant development but in Idlib Province last month, the Al-Nusra tried hard to disassemble power plant installations in the town of Saraqib in Eastern Idlib to transfer them to other terrorist-held region and sell them the in black market.

The sources said that civilians in Saraqib were preventing the terrorists from plundering the power plant facilities as the army is preparing to kick off an imminent operation to free Saraqib and the Syrian Air Force are pounding terrorists’ positions in the region.
