24 Hours

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army soldiers warded off terrorists’ attacks on their positions in Hama province after hours of clashes, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The terrorist attacks to capture the government forces’ positions in the Northern Hama were fended off by the strong defense of the Syrian military men.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria, including Deir Ezzur, over past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Hama

The Syrian Army men warded off heavy attacks of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) and Jeish al-Izzah in Northern Hama on Monday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army’s artillery units shelled heavily the Al-Nusra’s movements in al-Satahiyat region West of the town of al-Salamiyah and preempted their attack.

The Al-Nusra suffered heavy casualties in the army fire.

In the meantime, the Jeish al-Izzah deployed in al-Latamina stormed the army positions in the village of Zalin in Northern Hama, but failed to prevail over the army strongholds.

Jeish al-Izzah left behind a number of casualties and retreated from the battlefield.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army has dispatched more troops and equipment to Eastern Deir Ezzur, preparing for an imminent operation to end ISIL terrorists’ presence in regions between Deir Ezzur and Homs provinces, field sources said on Monday.

The sources reported that the army has dispatched a large number of soldiers and a large volume of equipment to Eastern Deir Ezzur after they purged Hama and Aleppo province of ISIL.

The sources said that the army is planning to kick off an imminent operation to hunt the remaining pockets of ISIL terrorists in the desert regions between Eastern Homs and Western Deir Ezzur.

Damascus

Russia’s Humeimim airbase in Syria declared that the terrorist groups’ attempts to establish a US base in Eastern Damascus were foiled.

Humeimim airbase confirmed on its Facebook page on Monday that Moscow cooperated with the Syrian army forces in thwarting at least two terrorist groups’ attempts to set up a US airport and military base in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Based on the report, the terrorists had plotted to block the Syrian army’s path to the region by setting up a US base.

It added that at present, Washington is attempting to disintegrate Syria – given the fact that the al-Nusra Front terrorist group is ruling Eastern Ghouta – but Moscow makes its utmost efforts to prevent this.

Raqqa

Forced recruitment and sharp decline in the monthly salary of Arab fighters of the predominately Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have pushed the Kurdish-held regions in Raqqa province into rising tensions, local sources reported on Monday.

The sources in Northern Raqqa said that the SDF has detained a number of civilians in the towns of Tal Abyadh and Solouk with the framework of its’ forced recruitment plan.

The sources further said that the SDF has decreased monthly salary of the family members of its Arab fighters who were killed in Raqqa battlefields from 80,000 lira to 40,000 lira.

The sources added that the SDF’s move to hoard fuel via its checkpoints has raised fuel prices sharply in the region.

Quneitra

The vehicle of Abu Hamzah al-Naba’a was detonated in a roadside bomb explosion in the Southwestern province of Quneitra, leaving the senior field commander of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and his guards dead, field sources reported on Monday.

Abu Hamzah al-Naba’a, a field commander of the FSA-affiliated Syria’s Thowar Front and two of his guards were killed after their vehicle was detonated by a roadside bomb on the road connecting Naba’a al-Sakhar to Masraha in Quneitra province, the sources said.

They added that al-Naba’a was the commander of the Military Council of Syria’s Thowar Front in the village of Naba’a al-Sakhar.

Aleppo

The Turkish Army forces and Ankara-backed militants drove Kurdish fighters out of more villages and hills within the framework of Operation Olive Branch in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo, dissident-affiliated websites reported on Monday.

The websites reported that forces of Operation Olive Branch stormed Kurdish positions in Jandaris region and imposed control over the village of Iskandar and its hills.

The sources further said that the Turkish soldiers and their allied militants also captured the village of Sa’arnajkah Northwest of Afrin, the village of Arab Weiran and Mount Arab Weiran Northeast of Afrin.

Syrian Army Preparing for Imminent Operation against Terrorists in Eastern Damascus

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army has dispatched a large number of elite forces to Eastern Ghouta to kick off a large-scale operation to purge the region of terrorist groups, field sources reported on Tuesday.

FNA dispatches quoted the sources as saying that the army has forwarded a large number of Tiger Forces from Idlib to Eastern Ghouta.

The first priority of the army is now purging Eastern Ghouta of terrorists, the sources told FNA, adding that the army plans to storm the terrorists from the directions of the Governorate Building in Damascus outskirts, al-Rahbah region and the Vehicles Management Center.

Also, the army units are preparing to advance in the depth of the regions that are under the control of the Jeish al-Islam through al-Marj region, especially via al-Nashabiyeh and Hawsh al-Zawaherah regions.

A field source reported on Saturday that the army troops stormed the positions of two main terrorist groups in Eastern Ghouta and beat them back from more positions to expand the security zone around government-controlled regions.

The army men struck the strongholds of Ahrar al-Sham and Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) Northwest of the town of Arbin in Eastern Ghouta and imposed control over al-Nofous building, Abdul Rahman Bin Aowf grand mosque and a Lebanese-Jordanian Company building.

Also, the army’s artillery and aircraft pounded terrorists’ positions in Arbin, killing or wounding a large number of militants.

Syrian Army Recaptures Lost Lands in Rapid Counter-Attack in Southeastern Hama

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops repelled another heavy offensive of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Southeastern Hama and further carried out a rapid counter-attack, recapturing lost positions, local sources reported on Tuesday.

The sources said that army men fended off a heavy attack of a group of Al-Nusra terrorists in a region from the Southwest of the town of al-Salamiyah to the towns of Talbiseh and al-Rastan in Northern Homs and further to the village of al-Ramileh, inflicting heavy casualties on the militants.

The sources added that the army men further carried out a rapid counter-attack at Hama border with Homs and managed to impose control over lost lands in the village of Moqasem al-Hamrat Southwest of the small town of Khneifes in Southeastern Hama.

Terrorists Sustain Dozens of Casualties in Bomb Attack on Al-Nusra Command Center in Idlib

TEHRAN (FNA)- Tens of terrorists from the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) were killed and wounded after a bomb went off in front of the group’s command center in Idlib province on Tuesday.

At least eight militants were killed and 20 more were injured in a bomb explosion in front of the Al-Nusra’s command center in Ma’arat al-Mesrin in Idlib.

In the meantime, two Al-Nusra security members were killed after unknown raiders attacked one of the checkpoints of Al-Nusra in the town of Ariha in Idlib province.

Local sources said on Monday that Hamad Bin Hamid al-Shayesh, a commander of Idlib Free Army affiliated to the Free Syrian Army, was killed by unknown assailants’ gun fire near the town of Hazano in Northern Idlib.

In the meantime, the Al-Nusra Front engaged in heavy fighting with the rival group of Jeish al-Ahrar in the village of Shalakh North of the town of Taftnaz in Northeastern Idlib, inflicting several casualties on both warring sides.

Also, a group of Al-Nusra terrorists stormed positions of Nouralddeen al-Zinki in the village of Deir Hassaan in Northern Idlib.

Popular Uprising Against Al-Nusra in Northern Homs

TEHRAN (FNA)- Tens of civilians in a key town in Northern Homs protested against the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) and called for their expulsion from the region, local sources reported on Tuesday.

The sources said that people in the town of al-Rastan have demonstrated against the Al-Nusra militants and called for their expulsion from their region.

The sources further added that the protest occurred after Al-Nusra executed one of the civilians in the town.

In a relevant development in the province on Sunday that army forces warded off the terrorist groups’ heavy offensive in Northeastern Homs, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The army men repelled a heavy attack of the terrorists near the village of Salim in Northeastern Homs, killing or wounding a number of gunmen.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery units pounded terrorists’ positions in al-Sa’an al-Aswad, Hawsh Hajwa and Talbiseh regions in Northern Homs after the militants violated ceasefire in de-escalation zone and targeted the army positions.

The army’s heavy fire inflicted major losses on the militants.

More civilians killed and injured by Turkish regime’s continued offensive on Afrin area

The Turkish regime on Tuesday continued its offensive on Afrin area in Aleppo’s northern countryside, killing and injuring more civilians, including children and women.

The Turkish assault on Afrin city for the 25th successive day caused further destruction of the city’s infrastructure and utilities.

Local sources told SANA that Turkish troops and mercenaries from terrorist groups shelled the residential neighborhoods of Afrin city and Afrin hospital, killing one civilian, injuring four others, and causing material damage to the hospital.

The sources added that Turkish troops continued shelling the villages and towns in Jindiris area with various types of weapons, killing two women in the village Hikjeh, in addition to causing huge material damage to the citizen’s houses and agricultural lands.

So far, the Turkish aggression on Afrin area left more than 500 civilians dead or injured and destroyed bread production plants, water pumping stations, and schools, in addition to the displacement of thousands of civilians.

Four children injured due to attacks with shells on Damascus and its Countryside

Four children were injured and material damage was caused when the armed groups violated the de-escalation zone agreement in Eastern Ghouta, targeting residential areas in Damascus and its Countryside with shells.

Speaking to SANA, a source at Damascus Countryside Police Command said that the armed groups fired two mortar rounds on al-Assad residential suburb in Harasta area, causing injures for four children.

Earlier, a source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that armed groups on Tuesday fired two mortar shells that hit the former Damascus International Fairground and al-Qassa area, causing only material damage.

Units of Syrian Arab Army responded to the attacks by striking the areas from where the shells were launched in Eastern Ghouta, destroying rocket launching pads, and inflicting heavy losses upon the armed groups.
