The Arabic-language al-Ahd news website quoted militant-affiliated sources as disclosing that Al-Muhaysini left Idlib for Turkey’s Gaziantep after cutting relations with Tahrar al-Sham Hay’at three months ago.

Al-Muhaysini has in the last three months been cooperating with Turkish security officers that are working with terrorist groups in Northern Syria, al-Ahd said, adding that al-Muhaysini has recently left Turkey for Idlib at the order of Turkey to gather terrorists in a united operations room after the Syrian army’s rapid advances in the provinces of Hama, Idlib and Aleppo.

It further said that al-Muhaysini is also ordered to persuade secretly terrorist groups’ commanders to join Turkish army’s battle against Kurds in Northern Syria.

He further pointed to the failure of a plan to form a Joint Operation Room against the army, saying lack of such Operation Room is behind the collapse of the militants’ front.

Terrorists Fail to Set Up US Airbase in Eastern Damascus

TEHRAN (FNA)- Russia’s Humeimim airbase in Syria declared that the terrorist groups’ attempts to establish a US base in Eastern Damascus were foiled.

Humeimim airbase confirmed on its facebook page on Monday that Moscow cooperated with the Syrian army forces in thwarting at least two terrorist groups’ attempts to set up a US airport and military base in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

Based on the report, the terrorists had plotted to block the Syrian army’s path to the region by setting up a US base.

It added that at present, Washington is attempting to disintegrate Syria – given the fact that the al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) terrorist group is ruling Eastern Ghouta – but Moscow makes its utmost efforts to prevent this.

The development came after Abdel Bari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of Rai al-Youm newspaper, warned of the US plots to disintegrate Syria and establish military bases on the Eastern banks of the Euphrates with the help of the Kurds.

Atwan referred to the US airstrikes against the Syrian army forces in Deir Ezzur and killing 150 Syrian forces, stressing that the country’s foreign ministry is entitled to consider it as war crime as the American forces entered Iraq and Syria on the pretext of fighting terrorism.

“Now that terrorist groups are annihilated in Iraq and Syria, we should ask the reason for the US forces’ deployment in the two countries and their goal of airstrikes against them,” he wrote on Saturday.

“The response to this question is simple; implementation of the US plots to disintegrate Syria and set up permanent military bases in Eastern Euphrates to separate it from the west so that these bases will replace Incirlik airbase in Turkey, which doesn’t welcome the US fighter jets anymore, and pave the ground for the formation of a Kurdish government.

The US-led coalition admitted on Thursday that it has launched airstrikes against the Syrian government forces after they attacked the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) base in Eastern Euphrates.

According to Atwan, this measure indicates the US willingness to form an independent Kurdish government in Eastern Euphrates to separate it from Syria, support it and form an army of 30,000 soldiers to train and equip them with new weapons.
