Whatever reason the AKP government and its leader who desires “to perform his pray in Damascus” state for todays operation, it serves the imperialist plans which aim to divide Syria for various interests. Syria must be cleared of imperialist projects, interest conflicts between big powers and the fundamentalist powers of the region. It is the Syrian people who will do this.
After being drawn into a civil war which was triggered by the imperialist projects and activated almost all the reactionary veins of the region, Syria now is turned into an arena for the bloody games of the powers of the region, large and small.
The military operation on the Syrian soil, started by the AKP government which has sought ways to be involved by its own economic and political plans in the imperialist projects while at the same time being appointed serious tasks at those projects from the beginning, had nothing to do with any national interest or security issue of Turkey.
Yes, the US and their “allies” are a threat for Turkey as well as all the peoples of the region. Yet, Turkey itself is an allied NATO member and a government who does not question the military existence of NATO in Turkey but argues about the threat in Syria, indicates a clear hypocrite.
Yes, there are many “terrorist” groups in Syria but the Free Syrian Army (FSA), who Turkey militarily cooperates today, is yet one of those terrorist groups. The FSA has been supported by the US for years and now they have been caused to clash with the PYD, which is also another group the US has supported.
While Syrian State say “you are not welcomed”, whatever reason the AKP government and its leader who desires “to perform his pray in Damascus” state for todays operation talking about “compliance with international laws”, they serve the imperialist plans which aim to divide Syria for various interests.
Our people cannot be deceived with heroism or nationalist demagogy. Syria must be cleared of imperialist projects, interest conflicts between big powers and the fundamentalist powers of the region. It is the Syrian people who will do this.
