Army units thwart al-Nusra terrorists’ attacks in Hama, restores several villages in Aleppo

Syrian Arab Army regained control on Thursday over the villages of Um Khan and Um al-Umod Qebli in the south eastern countryside of Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses upon Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization’s personnel and equipment.

The Syrian Arab Army and allied forces continued their military operation against Jabhat al-Nusra’s hideouts in the south-eastern Aleppo countryside, regaining control over the villages of Um Khan and Um al-Umod Qebli to the to the south-west of Khanasir town, a military source said.

According to the military source, dozens of al-Nusra terrorists were killed, as the army units destroyed a number of their armored vehicles and their fortified positions.

Hama and Idleb

Units of the Syrian Arab Army confronted an attack by Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and affiliated takfiri organizations on military posts in the countryside of Idleb and Hama.

SANA reporter in Hama said that the army units in cooperation with popular defense groups clashed with terrorists of so -called al-Hizb al-Tirkistani and Jabhat al-Nusra, who attacked the military posts in the surroundings of Atshan, Tal Maraq, al-Khawin, Arad al-Zarzour and Um al-Khalakhil in the southeastern countryside of Idleb and the northeastern countryside of Hama.

The terrorist attacks were thwarted after destroying large amounts of ammunition and vehicles of the Takfiri members, killing many of them including leaders, while the rest of them fled away, the reporter said, adding that army seized BMP vehicle, Hummer armored vehicle, ammunition, Turkish-made binoculars left behind by terrorists in the area surrounding al-Khwin village.

Ibrahim Kahloul Alian, leader of the so-called the “battalion 111”, Hasan Abu Khadijeh , the leader in Failaq al-Sham and the nicknamed Abu Seif, the leader of Qittaa Hama were identified among the killed terrorists.

The reporter said that Air force and Artillery of the army carried out intensive strikes against gatherings and fortified points for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Latimineh town in northern countryside of Hama, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and weaponry.

Meanwhile, terrorist organizations posted on their social media pages the names of dozens of their dead who were killed during the attack, including one of the military leaders of “Ahrar al-Sham” named Bassam Khattab aka “Abu Saif Kefr Awid”.

Motorcycle bomb blast kills several terrorists from “Tahrir al-Sham”

A motorcycle bomb blast killed a number of “Tahrir al-Sham” terrorists in the countryside of Jisr al-Shoughor in Idleb province.

A source told SANA that a motorcycle filled with explosives exploded in a gathering for Tahrir al-Sham terrorists in al-Najia village in the western countryside of Jisr al-Shoughor city, killing many of them.

Different sources stated that the terrorists were heading to Abu al-Dhour airport in a desperate attempt to support deteriorating terrorist groups.

Terrorists Ahmed Zarzouri, Mohammed Kana’an, Mohammed Ziyad Bakkour and Ibrahim Mishwar were identified among the dead.

Syrian Army Establishes Security in Vast Areas in Eastern Damascus

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army increased security of its military points in Harasta by continued operations against the terrorists in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

The army forces continued clashes with the terrorists near the Vehicles Management Center in Harasta on Thursday, regaining control over new regions near al-Hajaz garage.

Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets pounded the defense lines and roads used by the terrorists to transfer weapons and goods, inflicting damage on the militants.

Field sources said that the army soldiers have strengthened security in their controlled areas and army points near the Vehicles Management Center.

Meantime, the Syrian army units repelled Jeish al-Islam terrorist group’s offensive against their position in Hazarma, killing 5 militants.

Field sources reported on Wednesday that the Syria army gave a last ultimatum to the terrorist groups in Eastern Ghouta to lay down arms and surrender to the government forces.

The field sources said that the army has distributed thousands of leaflets across terrorist-held regions in the towns of Harasta and Arbin and the regions of Jobar and Ein Terma in Eastern Ghouta, giving them a last ultimatum to lay down arms and surrender.

The sources said that the army ultimatum came after a sum of 22 terrorists from the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board), Ahrar al-Sham and Faylaq al-Rahman were killed in the pro-government forces’ operation against the militant groups in Harasta.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units have been heavily pounding terrorists’ positions in Harasta, Arbin, Ein Terma and Jobar.

Army Liberates Key Point in Hama, Establishes Security in Strategic Road towards Aleppo

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army advanced in Northeastern Hama during military operations in Southeastern Idlib, liberating a vital region and extending the range of its control over the strategic Hama-Aleppo road.

The army soldiers continued clashes with al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) terrorists in al-Sa’an front on Thursday after retaking control over al-Rahjan region in Northeastern Hama. They also won back control of the village of Um Mayal.

A field source underlined the importance of army’s control over the recently-freed points in Northeastern Hama, specially al-Rahjan, saying that they were among the most important and biggest bases of al-Nusra and other terrorist groups in the region.

The Syrian army also established control over 25km of lands along the Hama-Khanasser-Aleppo highway after its recent advances in Northeastern Hama.

Government sources disclosed on Wednesday that the Syrian army troops are advancing rapidly against terrorists in Hama, Aleppo and Idlib provinces, besieging the militants in a vast region that covers over 300 villages.

The sources said that the army units have carried out rapid and heliborne operations as part of their major assault on the Al-Nusra Front in the last several hours and managed to capture large territories in Southeastern Idlib.

The sources pointed to the Al-Nusra’s heavy casualties, and said that the army forces targeted terrorists’ main strongholds, military vehicles, anti-tank TOW missile launchers in the battlefield and pushed the terrorist front into complete failure.

They further said that the ground has been paved for the army to trap the Al-Nusra in a very large region that includes 300 villages in the provinces of Hama, Idlib and Aleppo as the army men are now 18 km away from Abu al-Dhohour airbase from the direction of Southern Aleppo and their comrades have reached the gates of the military airport from Southeastern Idlib.

Syrian Army Wins Back Terrorists’ Last Defense Line Near Strategic Airbase in Idlib

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army forces regained control of the terrorists’ last defense lines in Southeastern Idlib during the operations to win back Abu al-Dhohour airbase, and opened their way into the military airport.

The army troops continued to advance in Southeastern Idlib towards Abu al-Dhohour on Thursday, taking back control of the villages of Rasm al-Dabsheh, Rasm Abed, Um Harif and Um Jorah.

Meantime, the Syrian army soldiers gained back control of the terrorists’ last defense line in Tal Saloumeh South-West of the airbase.

Also, field sources reported that the army units have attacked the militants’ positions in Abu al-Dhohour, entering the strategic airbase.

A number of the special forces of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) were killed and scores more were wounded on Wednesday in the Syrian Army operation near Abu al-Dhohour airbase in Southeastern Idlib.

Well-informed sources reported that nine members of the elite units of Al-Nusra have been killed and two dozen more have been injured in the army attack near Abu al-Dhohour airbase.

The sources said also that the artillery and missile units opened heavy fire at Al-Nusra movements and positions at Abu al-Dhohour military airport and it nearby regions.

Terrorist Groups Form Coalition to Compensate Defeats in Idlib, Hama

TEHRAN (FNA)- Several terrorist groups formed two separate joint operations rooms against the Syrian army to make up for their defeats after the army’s extensive advances in Hama, Idlib and Aleppo.

News websites affiliated to the dissidents reported on Thursday that commanders of Faylaq al-Sham, Jeish al-Nasr, Idlib’s Free Army, Jeish al-Nukhbah and Jeish al-Thani terrorist groups have formed an operations room called ‘Rad al-Toqyan (Response to Revolt)’.

Meantime, leaders of Islamic al-Turkistani Party affiliated to the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board), Ahrar al-Sham and Jeish al-Ahrar terrorist groups declared in a statement formation of an operations room called ‘En Allah Ala Nasrehem Laqadir (God is very much able to defeat them)’, stressing that military operations against the Syrian army troops in Southern Idlib have started.
