Israeli Forces Target Syrian Army Positions in Quneitra Again

TEHRAN (FNA)- Mortar units of the Israeli Army shelled the Syrian Army troops’ strongholds in the Southern province of Quneitra.

The Israeli Army’s mortar units opened fire at the Syrian Army’s positions in Quneitra province, alleging that its forces had come under attack by Damascus’ forces.

In the meantime, Spokesman for the Israeli Army Efikhai Adra’ei confirmed that the Israeli mortar units targeted the Syrian army positions in the village of Hafra in Quneitra province, claiming that the Israeli attack was in response to the Syrian mortar units’ attack on the Israeli positions in the occupied territories, Palestine.

The Israeli forces have many times targeted the Syrian Army troops on the pretext of mortar attack on their positons.

The General Command of the Syrian Army announced in a statement in September that the Israeli warplane’s airstrikes on army positions in the Western parts of Hama city killed 2 Syrian soldiers.

The statement said that the Israeli fighter jet launched missile attacks on one of the Syrian army bases near Masyaf region in Southwestern Hama through the Lebanese airspace, killing two Syrian soldiers.

It added that the attack was a desperate attempt to heighten the lost morale of the ISIL terrorists after the Syrian army’s major victories against the terrorism in several regions.

In course of the humanitarian action, Russian military medics provided treatment to 307 civilians, including 9 children.

Leadership of the Syrian Arab Republic continues recovering social infrastructure.
In Saboura, Damascus province, Medical Centre is receiving civilians. The Centre has been recovered by Syrian Health Ministry and authorities of the province. The Centre provides treatment to 100 persons every day. However, the city suffers lack of medical service.

Despite economic sanctions against Syria, the Medical Centre as other state medical establishments provides medicaments for free.

However, the medical centre badly needs medical supplies for the treatment of children, anti-inflammatory medicaments, bandage, and child nutrition.

In order to extend the range of services and increase throughput, the centre requires X-ray rooms, new equipment to renew outdated laboratories, and an emergency power system.

The Russian Centre for Reconciliation once again urges the international community to provide assistance to the Syrian government and people in order to restore social infrastructure.
