Syrian government forces have seized the village of Kusham Fawqani from ISIS terrorists north of Deir Ezzor city, according to the Hezbollah media wing in Syria.

Government troops have also consolidated their advances near the al-Siyasah Bridge and secured their flank.

Thus, Syrian Arab Army units are now in close close proximity from an area controlled by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF – green on the map).

Now, ISIS units can attack government troops in the area from the north only in case if the SDF allows them to do so.


In the Last 24 Hours

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army has forwarded a large number of fresh forces and military equipment to Eastern Homs in intensified attacks on ISIL terrorists.

Homs

Local sources confirmed on Wednesday said that fresh forces and military hardware have been sent to Eastern Homs by the army, adding that the army plans to resume heavy attacks on ISIL’s positions to purge the region of terrorists in next few days.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units shelled heavily ISIL’s positions and movements in Eastern Homs, killing a number of militants and destroying their hardware in large scale.

The army soldiers have been fortifying their positions in Eastern Homs.

Hama

The Syrian Army soldiers ambushed a military column of ISIL in Northern Hama on Wednesday, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

The army men carried out an ambush operation against a military column of ISIL terrorists after they tried to go through Wadi al-Azib region towards areas under the control of Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) in Northern Hama.

Six military vehicles were destroyed and at least fifteen terrorists were killed in the operation.

Idlib

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that it is planning to have a strong presence in Idlib province amid the Turkish Army troops’ preparedness to cross the border into the Northwestern province.

Democratic Brigade of the North affiliated to the SDF announced in a statement on facebook Tuesday night that it is planning to form the Idlib Military Council.

The statement further said that it will announce formally the establishment of the Idlib Military Council after affiliation of several battalions to the Democratic Brigade of the North in Idlib province.

Raqqa

ISIL has started evacuating its gunmen from Raqqa city in Northeastern Syria following a secret agreement between the ISIL and SDF to hand over the city to the SDF without any clashes, an Arab media outlet reported on Wednesday.

The Arabic-language al-Manar news network quoted militant-affiliated websites as saying that several buses have been dispatched to al-Asadiyeh region North of Raqqa city to take away the ISIL gunmen and their family members.

Some other sources, meantime, reported that the first group of ISIL gunmen retreated from Raqqa city based on a secret agreement with the SDF.

The sources said that the ISIL militants have possibly moved towards ISIL-held regions in Hama, Homs or Deir Ezzur provinces.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian Army troops pushed ISIL back from more regions in the Northern outskirts of Deir Ezzur city on Wednesday, killing over 30 terrorists and wounding several more.

The army men continued to advance against ISIL on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River and imposed full control over a set of building blocks in al-Orfi neighborhoods, killing 33 terrorists and destroying several military vehicles.

In the meantime, the army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL inside the town of al-Mayadeen and near Sheikh Ens cemetery and in the Southern Badiyeh (desert) of the town.

The army’s artillery and aircraft also pounded ISIL’s positions in the towns of al-Mayadeen and Albu Kamal and their outskirts, inflicting heavy causalities on terrorists.

Also military sources confirmed on Wednesday that the Syrian Army troops are getting ready to kick off the final phase of their operation to purge the entire neighborhoods in Eastern Deir Ezzur city of the ISIL terrorists.

The army units are expected to launch the final phase of their offensive to clear the remaining districts occupied by the ISIL militants in Deir Ezzur city, including al-Huweiqa, al-Jubeileh, Sheikh Yasseen, al-Arzi and Kanamat.

Also in the past 24 hours, a military source said that the Syrian Army troops are completing the siege on the Eastern Deir Ezzur city, adding that the ISIL terrorists are trying to leave the city before the siege is completed.

The source said that several groups of terrorists are leaving Deir Ezzur city for the town of Albu Kamal in the Southeastern part of the province near the border with Iraq.

“Small convoys of off-road vehicles and failed attempts to cross the Euphrates River from the Western to the Eastern bank by means of waterborne platforms were detected,” the source said.

According to the source, government forces continue the offensive from several directions and a number of villages along the Euphrates River have been cleared of terrorists.

Terrorists are suffering huge losses inside the city as the Syrian army expands its offensive with the support of the Russian Air Force, the source added.

Syrian Army Moves to Lay Siege on ISIL East of Euphrates

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army forces captured several more points on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates river and came close to encircling the terrorists that still hold their ground in a few districts in Deir Ezzur.

The army units continued to advance in Northern Deir Ezzur on Thursday, retaking control over several points near al-Siyasiyeh bridge on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates.

A military source said that the army forces will soon impose siege on ISIL in those Deir Ezzur districts that are still held by the terrorists.

Meantime, other Syrian troops engaged in clashes with the ISIL in al-Arfi and al-Sana’ah districts, killing a large number of militants and wounding tens of them. They also could blow up two ISIL drones in al-Qasour and al-Sana’ah districts.

Also, the Syrian fighter jets heavily pounded the ISIL positions in the districts of Hatleh, al-Salehiyeh, al-Hosseiniyeh, al-Janineh, al-Amal, al-Arfi, al-Sana’ah, al-Hamidiyeh and al-Huweiqa.

Tens of Civilians Killed, Injured in Terrorist Car Bomb Explosion in Hasaka

A number of citizens were killed Thursday and tens others were injured in an ISIS terrorist car bomb explosion in Abu Fas area to the south-west side of Ashaddadi in Hasaka countryside.

SANA reporter said that large numbers of children and women were among the victims of the terrorist explosion that took place in a gathering for civilians who fled the terrorism of ISIS in Deir Ezzor.

The reporter added that while other civilians were trying to escape the place fearing from other explosions, hundreds of them entered fields planted with mines, causing the death and injuring of many others.

Army helps evacuating five families from al-Mayadeen city

Five families from al-Mayadeen city, one of ISIS’s largest hotbeds, have been evacuated to the city of Deir Ezzor with the help of a unit of the Syrian Arab Army.

The evacuees expressed their happiness to have got rid of ISIS terrorism, calling on the locals of Deir Ezzor countryside who live in the areas where the terrorist organization is positioned to head to the nearest points of the Syrian Arab Army.

Head of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) branch in Deir Ezzor Anas al-Ishawi affirmed that food stuff and medical treatment have been provided immediately to the evacuated citizens as soon as they reached the city of Deir Ezzor.

ISIS terrorist organization has been taking civilians as human shields and preventing them from leaving the areas under its control by targeting the safe crossings set up by the army for the evacuation process.

In the past few weeks, the terror organization’s militants have killed dozens of citizens while attempting to flee to areas where the Syrian Arab Army is stationed in Deir Ezzor.

Army establishes control over al-Tibeh village, advances into al-Mayadeen neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor

Army units further advanced in al-Mayadeen city in the course of continued military operations against ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor.

SANA reporter said that army units carried out intensive operations against ISIS terrorists’ hideouts in al-Mayadeen city in the southeastern countryside, establishing control over al-Tibeh village that is adjacent to the city and advancing into al-Mayadeen neighborhoods from the western part, particularly al-Baloum neighborhood, the Industrial area and al-Madajin,

The reporter added that fierce clashes erupted between the army units and ISIS terrorists in the direction of Khsham-Hatla east of the Euphrates River and the fronts of al-Orfi and al-Sinaa in Deir Ezzor city, killing or injuring many of the terrorists.

The army’s Air and Artillery forces destroyed fortified positions and vehicles for ISIS in the cities of Mohassan and al-Mayadeen, the villages of Buqrus, al-Jneineh, al-Husseiniyeh, Hatla, Saalou, Zeban, Hawaej Zeban, al-Boleil, al-Salehiya and the neighborhoods of Kanamat, al-Hamidiyeh, al-Sheikh Yaseen, Khasarat and al-Ardi, the reporter said.

Local sources in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor reported that ISIS terrorists executed three people by slaughtering them in al-Intilaq roundabout in al-Bokmal city, a day after a civilian was killed and his body was hung at al-Hissan village’s roundabout in the northwestern countryside.

ISIL Occupies Energy Field in Eastern Deir Ezzur after Clashes with Kurds

TEHRAN (FNA)- The ISIL terrorists occupied an oil and gas field in the Eastern parts of Deir Ezzur after heavy clashes with the Kurdish forces, media sources said.

According to the Arabic-language al-Ahd news website, the ISIL terrorists gained control over Koniko gas field in Northeastern Deir Ezzur on Thursday after an earlier agreement between the ISIL and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) failed in the region.

The US-backed SDF is giving room and space to the ISIL under a deal that first came into practice in Raqqa to give a safe corridor to the terrorists to move deep into Central Syria, gifting the SDF easy control over lands in Northeastern Deir Ezzur near the border with Iraq.

Yet, some groups of ISIL have defied the agreement in a few regions in Northeastern Deir Ezzur. Al-Ahd said a group of ISIL shrugged off the deal after the SDF advanced to receive control of Koniko gas field.

The report said over 10 SDF forces were killed and wounded during the clashes.

Meantime, a military source said on Wednesday that the Syrian Army troops are completing the siege on the Eastern Deir Ezzur city, adding that the ISIL terrorists are trying to leave the city before the siege is completed.
