Today, the submarines Veliky Novgorod and Kolpino of the Black Sea Fleet have fired the Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles from the Mediterranean Sea at the detected objects.

Objective monitoring data has confirmed all assigned targets to have been engaged.
The ISIS grouping located near al-Mayadin has suffered significant losses in manpower and hardware.
Syrian Army Enters Largest Daesh Hotbed in Deir ez-Zor Province
The Syrian government forces are conducting a military operation to gain control of the largest Daesh stronghold in the province of Deir ez-Zor after the three-year terrorist siege of Deir ez-Zor city was lifted a month ago.
(Sputnik-Moscow) The Syrian army has entered the largest Daesh (ISIS, Islamic State, banned in Russia) stronghold in the province of Deir ez-Zor, the town of al-Mayadeen (located 45 kilometers east of the city of Deir ez-Zor), a government forces brigadier general told RIA Novosti.
“The Syrian army entered Mayadeen and gained controls over the market in the west of the city, as well as a citadel… Fierce clashes between the army and Daesh terrorists are underway in the south of the city,” the general said.
He said that the Syrian army provided humanitarian corridors for the exit of civilians from the city. However, terrorists prevent some city residents from leaving the area to use them as a “human shield,” the general said.
Meanwhile, Syrian state TV reported earlier in the day that the government forces eliminated a large number of Daesh militants during the al-Mayadeen operation. The troops reportedly destroyed several Daesh weapons depots and a communication hub.
Daesh terrorists receive weapons, arms and manpower from the Iraqi territory via the border town of Abu Kamal, according to SANA, the Syrian state news agency. From this settlement, Daesh mobile detachments have attempted to counterattack the government forces near Deir ez Zor and the army’s positions on the Palmyra-Deir ez Zor highway, which is considered the main way of supplies to the city.
The new offensive of the Syrian army in the province comes a month after the three-year blockade of the city was lifted by government troops with support from the Russian Aerospace Forces on September 5. The operation to clear the city from remaining terrorists is currently underway.
U.S. al-Tanf base hinders Syrian army’s advance against ISIS
6 October، 2017
Russian Defense Ministry said that the illegal US military presence in al-Tanf area near the Syrian–Jordanian border hinders the Syrian army’s operations against ISIS terrorists in the eastern area and prevents access of humanitarian aid to Rukban camp on the Syrian–Jordanian border.
“In reality, al-Tanf has turned into a 100-kilometer ‘black hole’ on the Syrian-Jordanian state border. And, instead of the Free Syrian Army, it is spewing ISIS mobile groups who make inroads to launch subversive terrorist operations against Syrian troops and civilians,” the Ministry’s spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Friday.
“The illegal establishment of the US military base on the Syria-Jordanian border in April 2017 was publicly justified by the ‘need to conduct counter-ISIS operations.’ But we know of no US operation that was launched against ISIS in the past six months of its existence,” Konashenkov added.
He went on criticizing the US’s al-Tanf base by saying “Rukban refugees are de facto hostages, effectively a ‘human shield’ for the US base. Think about it, other than by Americans such ‘protection’ barriers are used in Syria only by those who they came here to fight, the terrorists.”
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, attacks against the Syrian army have repeatedly been carried out from the 50-kilometer zone around al-Tanf on the Syrian-Jordanian border where the “US military mission” is located.
In the small hours of September 28, about 300 ISIS gunmen moved from the areas close to the inhabited community of Rukban to the city of Al-Qaryatayn in the Homs province using dozens of off-road vehicles, the Ministry was cited.
A large group of terrorists successfully bypassed all Syrian army posts near the inhabited communities of Harbat al-Shkhemi and al-Basiri, having the exact locations that can only be obtained through aerial reconnaissance. This terrorist unit tried to capture the dominant heights around the inhabited community of Al-Qaryatayn.

Earlier, SANA’s correspondent in Deir Ezzor said that army units operating in Deir Ezzor province advanced further in the efforts to uproot ISIS in the southeastern countryside of the province by eliminating many terrorists in the western outskirts of al-Mayadeen town.
He said that army units clashed on Friday with terrorists from ISIS in the western outskirts of al-Mayadeen, which resulted in killing many terrorists and inflicting heavy losses in equipment on the terror organization.
The correspondent added that army units established control over the brad production plant at the town’s outskirts after eliminating the ISIS terrorists who were barricaded inside it after they covnered it to a weapons and ammo depot.

Briefing of the Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria (October 6, 2017
Situation in the Syrian Arab Republic is being stabilized. The settlements that had suffered combat actions are returning to peaceful life.
The National Reconciliation Committees in the de-escalation zones keep up creating favorable conditions to enable refugees and internally displaced persons to return back home.
Thus, about 5,000 citizens have returned to the settlement of Flitah (Eastern Qalamoun, Damascus province) from Nasiriyah, Jairoud, Nebek, Yabrud (Damascus province) in solemn atmosphere (after the governor and the Ba’ath Party Chairman of the Damascus province jointly with the Russian Centre for reconciliation held a rally).
Humanitarian aid is being provided to Syrian people in the de-escalation zones and outside them.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian Centre for reconciliation held three humanitarian actions:
citizens of Khirbat al-Shabab (Damascus province), Rasm Falekh (Aleppo province), and Maarin (Hama province) received 10.3 tons of food supplies. Besides, medical aid has been provided to 153 people.
Social infrastructure is being recovered in the Syrian Arab Republic.
In Jarmanah (Damascus province), the second baking production line has been recovered, despite internal and external damages of local bakery’s equipment and facilities. This allows to increase productivity twofold – up to 30 tons a day, and meet the population’s needs.
In al Gharifah (as-Suwayda province), 800 m of high-voltage power lines and a transformer damaged in war has been repaired. This has ensured reliable power supply to all the dwellings in the city.
