US-led coalition’s warplanes use white phosphorus bomb in Deir Ezzor, killing 3 civilians and injuring 5

The warplanes of the US-led coalition shelled residential neighborhoods in Deir Ezzor countryside with internationally-prohibited white phosphorus bombs, leaving a number of civilians dead.

Identical civil and media source said that the warplanes of the international coalition led by the US shelled with white phosphorus-loaded bombs the outskirts of al-Sour town in the northeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor province, and that 3 civilians were killed in the aggression and 5 others were injured, in addition to causing huge material damage to the public and private properties.

US-Led Coalition Hits Deir Ezzur with White Phosphorus Bombs

TEHRAN (FNA)- The US-Led coalition warplanes targeted an ISIL-held town in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur using white phosphorus munitions, killing several people, the Syrian state-run TV reported a few hours ago.

The Syrian state-run TV reported that at least three civilians were killed and five more injured in an airstrike in the Southeastern part of the town of al-Suwar.

The strike has also damaged public and private buildings in the area.

This is the just the latest case of civilian casualties of US air raids in Syria.

On Monday, coalition’s airstrikes left nine civilians dead in the Northeastern province Hasaka.

Those killed included an Iraqi family of six that had escaped ISIL violence in Mosul, according to the Syrian state news agency.

Citing sources, the agency added that the coalition had also launched airstrikes on the villages Hadaj, Huneidis and Hassan Ali near the Iraqi border, which has resulted in “huge material damage.”

On September 17, the agency said the coalition’s warplanes left at least 12 civilians dead near the city of Deir Ezzur.

Russian Aerospace Forces kill 37 al-Nusra terrorists, including 5 of their leaders

Russian Defense Ministry affirmed the killing of 37 Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists, among them 5 of their leaders, in airstrikes against one of their command center in the southern countryside of Idleb province.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said that based on precise information, the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out an airstrike on one of al-Nusra’s command center in Idleb province, eliminating 37 terrorists including five field commanders who were holding a meeting.

He said that a precise missile airstrike was carried out only after information about the meeting was collected from various channels, adding that a nearby ammunition and explosives depot as well as 6 SUVs with large-caliber weapons were also eliminated.

The terrorist leaders that were killed were known as Abu Salman al-Saudi, Abu Abbas Alaeddin, Abu al-Hassan, Abu Mohammad al-Joulani, Walid al-Mustafa, and Abdullah al-Mhaisni and Abu Mujahed.

5 Warlords Responsible for Attack on Russian Military Police in September Killed in Syria

TEHRAN (FNA)- Five notorious field commanders of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board), who led an attack on Russian military police officers in Hama province earlier this month, were killed in an airstrike in Idlib province in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The airstrike targeted the commanders of Tahrir al-Sham, a group that was formed after the collapse of Al-Nusra Front terrorist organization, near the city of Idlib, Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said, RT reported.

Also, 32 militants were killed in the strike, the spokesman said.

The attack on the Russian military police took place in Hama province, 80km from Idlib, on September 18, Konashenkov said.

“Special measures to find and destroy all the militants involved in the attack on Russian troops in Syria continue,” he said.

Army destroys two vehicles of ISIS and kills many terrorists

Army and Armed Forces units killed and injured many ISIS terrorists during fierce clashes in Hweijet al-Saker area southeast of Deir Ezzor city and destroyed two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns.

SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor pointed out that the artillery bombardments and airstrikes by the army targeted the dens and positions of ISIS in Hweijet al-Saker area, al-Husseinia village to the northeast of the city at the vicinity of Hweijet Qate’a and the neighborhoods of al-Hweiqa ,al-Arddi, Khassarat and Kanamat, where heavy losses were inflicted upon the terrorists.

In another context, ISIS terrorists kidnapped five families and burned their cars and identification documents near al-Kasra town in the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor when they attempted to escape the areas where the terrorist organization is operating.

Syrian Army Accomplishing Final Anti-Terrorism Mission in Eastern Homs

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops continued to hit ISIL’s defense lines in the Central part of the war-hit country on Wednesday, imposing control over four more villages.

The army men drove ISIL out of the villages of al-Qazileh, al-Rak, Um Huweish and Safiyeh Northeast of Jubb al-Jarah in Eastern Homs.

The army units tightened noose on the ISIL in the Central Syria after their recent advances in Eastern Homs.

Relevant reports said on Tuesday that the army troops repelled heavy attacks of the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) on their positions in Northern Homs and Aleppo, inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists.

The army men engaged in heavy fighting with Al-Nusra terrorists and repelled their attacks on government forces’ positions in Akrad al-Daseniyeh and al-Qantou in Northern Homs, killing a number of terrorists.

The Al-Nusra attacks came in blatant violation of ceasefire in the de-escalation zone in Northern Homs.

Elsewhere, the Al-Nusra terrorists attacked the army positions near the village of Bashkoy in Northern Aleppo. Army reports said from the region that the government troops fended off their offensive, and inflicted large casualties on the militants.

Also, the army’s missile and artillery units pounded al-Nusra’s positions in the Western countryside of Aleppo city after the terrorist group’s missiles hit areas near the Rasoul Grand Mosque in Jam’iyat al-Zahra neighborhood in the Western part of Aleppo city.

A peaceful life is being established in the Syrian Arab Republic.

In order to return refugees back home from other regions of Syria, the Coordination and Control Centre together with Aleppo Province Land Committees are completing land tenure right checking. In six settlements, 149 dwellings have already been checked.

The Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides have held four humanitarian actions delivering food and medical supplies to Syrian people.

Citizens of Umm el Kibli (Homs province), Al Qatar, Ayishah, Deir Jamal (Aleppo province) and as-Suwayda received 14 tons of food supplies.

The Russian Centre is continue working with the National Reconciliation Committees of de-escalation zones on stabilizing environment and recovering social infrastructure objects.

In al-Nuria (al-Qunaitra province) a school front and premises have been redecorated. Everyday 260 pupils enjoy light-filled and cosy classrooms.

Ceasefire observation

Control groups continue monitoring the ceasefire observation within the implementation of the Memorandum on creation of the de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, which had been signed by the Russia, Turkey, and Iran on May 4, 2017.

Situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.

Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 15 cases of firing in the provinces of Latakia (2), Homs (3), Damascus (8), and al-Suwayda (2).

The Turkish party has registered 14 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Aleppo (1), Idlib (9), Hama (1), and Damascus (3).

Most cases of unselective firing from small arms have been registered in the areas controlled by insurgents of the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist groupings.

Humanitarian aid provided to the Syrian population

Over the last 24-hour, five humanitarian actions have been held by the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides:

Citizens of Umm es Sargj el Kibli (Homs province) received 2 tons of food supplies;

Citizens of Ayishah, Deir Jamal and Kafr Naya (Aleppo province) received 4.8 tons of food supplies.

Citizens of as-Suwayda (as-Suwayda province) received 7.1 tons of food supplies.

Total number of held humanitarian actions reached 1,630. Total weight of delivered cargos is 2,196.1 tons.

Over the last 24 hours, medical assistance has been provided to 180 people.

In total, 57,791 people have received medical aid.

Reconciliation of opposing sides

Over the last 24 hours, no ceasefire agreements have been signed.

Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation agreements is 2, 235.

Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of detachments of armed opposition in the Aleppo, Damascus, Homs, Hama, and al-Quneitra provinces.

The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, is still 234.

Al-Rastan and 25 areas join cessation of hostilities agreement in Homs

An agreement has been reached whereby the city of al-Rastan and a number of villages and towns in the northern countryside of Homs have joined the cessation of hostilities agreement.

The announcement of the agreement, which was reached in cooperation with the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim, took place during a meeting held at the building of Homs Governorate in the presence of a number of notables, sheikhs and chief figures in the villages and towns.

The agreement includes the villages and towns of al-Kin, al-Rawda, Izz al-Din, Quneitrat, al-Dhahria, Kafr-Nan, Kesin, Housh Kafr-Nan, Housh al-Zabadi, Um Sharshouh, Mirhej, Housh al-Akrad, al-Thawra, al-Farhaniya, al-Khazamia, Kafr-Laha, Taldo, al-Ghanto, al-Dar al-Kabira, al-Khaldiya, al-Jalloudiya, Hboub al-Reeh, al-Jasmia, Tal Dahab and al-Tiba al-Gharbiya.

On August 29th, 24 towns and villages in the eastern and western countryside of Homs have joined the cessation of hostilities agreement.
