Army reestablishes full control over new areas in Deir Ezzor

Army and Armed Forces units established full control over the town of Ma’adan, one of the biggest ISIS bases on the southern bank of the Euphrates River between the provinces of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa.
SANA’s reporter said that the army, in cooperation with the supporting forces, established control over the town after carrying out typical operations against ISIS terrorists, leaving scores of terrorists dead and injured, making the countryside on the southern bank of the Euphrates between Deir Ezzor and Raqqa completely clear of ISIS terrorists.
Earlier today, army units and supporting forces, established full control over the village of Ma’adan Atiq in the Western countryside of Deir Ezzor province after carrying out typical operations against ISIS terrorists.
On the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, the reporter said that army units in cooperation with allies reestablished full control over the village of Mazloum and some strategic positions in the town of Khasham after carrying on severe clashes with the ISIS terrorists, killing and injuring a number of them.
The army units also pursued the ISIS terrorists in Howeijet Sakker area, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

Terrorist Front Collapsing in Deir Ezzur Following Rapid Advances of Syrian Soldiers
TEHRAN (FNA)- ISIL executed one of its own senior commanders on unknown charges in Deir Ezzur province as the Syrian Army troops continue advancing in the province, local sources confirmed on Saturday, adding that a number of terrorist commanders have also escaped the battlefield.
The sources said that ISIL terrorists are accusing each other of betrayal and the cause of their recent failures and defeat in battle with the army men in Eastern and Western Deir Ezzur.
They added that ISIL executed Abu Abdul Sattar Libia’ei, its own commander in the town of al-Tabn, in the village of Hama al-Shamiyeh in Northwestern Deir Ezzur.
The source went on to say that a new group of ISIL commanders, including, Omar al-Haji, the man in charge of ISIL’s public relations, ISIL’s Emir Ziyad Eidan al-Saleh, ISIL’s Emir in Huweija Sakar and ISIL’s commander Ali Amar nom de guerre Abu Saraqeh have escaped battle against the Syrian army.
Reports said earlier today that the army men stormed ISIL’s defense lines in Western Deir Ezzur and captured the villages and towns of Shiheh, al-Hama Shami, Wad Abu Shahri, Mount al-Qasbi and Ma’adan Atiq.
A field sources reported that the army has killed tens of ISIL terrorists and is now strengthening its positions along the Eastern border of Raqqa province.
Syrian Air-Defense Unit Intercepts Israeli Missile over Damascus Airspace
TEHRAN (FNA)- A missile fired by the Israeli forces to target the Damascus international airport was shot down by the Syrian Army’s air-defense units, an Arab media outlet reported on Saturday.
The Arabic-language website of the Russia’s state news agency, RT, quoted Syria’s Elam al-Harbi news agency as reporting that the army’s Russia-made mid-range Buk-M2 system targeted and shot down an Israeli missile that was fired to hit the Damascus airport.
Eyewitnesses said parts of the intercepted missile are escattered across al-Keswah area in a region near the town of al-Zariqiyeh South of Damascus city.
In the meantime, Israeli media sources and some Syrian social networks reported earelir today that the regions near Damascus international airport were hit by two or three missiles flying from outside the Syrian airspace.
A Lebanese media outlet reported on Friday that an Israeli attack drone fired two missiles at the Damascus International Airport last night, causing a loud explosion that could be heard throughout the Syrian capital.
The English-language Beirut-based AMN reported that the two Israeli missiles did not cause much damage to the airport or its surroundings.
The report also indicated that the attack did not kill or wound any civilians or military personnel present at the airport last night.
Not long after the missile strike, the Syrian Air Defense reportedly downed an Israeli drone near the town of Beit Jinn along the Damascus-Quneitra provincial border.
Terrorists to Leave District in Southern Outskirt of Damascus City for Northern Syria
TEHRAN (FNA)- Local sources in the Southern outskirts of Damascus city reported on Saturday that a large number of terrorists are about to leave their positions in al-Qadam district for Northern or Northwestern Syria following conclusion of an agreement with the Syrian Army.
Local council of al-Qadam district announced in a statement that the terrorists deployed in the al-Madeniyeh, Bour Saeed and al-Majmah al-Sana’ei regions have reached an agreement with the army.
The council further said that the gunmen along with their family members are to leave al-Qadam for militant-held regions in Idlib or Jarabulus in Northern Syria on Tuesday and Wednesday based on the newly-inked agreement.
The Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria announced in its latest report on Wednesday that seven notorious commanders with a large number of their fighters ended fight against the Syrian Army troops in the provinces of Damascus and Quneitra.
The Russian center said that seven commanders with around 500 militants laid down arms and joined peace agreement with the army.
The center further said that 41 other gunmen also put aside their weapons and side with the army men in Homs province.
The statement also said that 348 families with 1,620 members retuned home in Tal Rifat, Kafr Anton, al-Akhras, Jouba and al-Huweisha regions in Aleppo province.
Four injured in mortar attacks by armed groups in Damascus

Four persons were injured as mortar shells fired by armed groups on al-Mleiha road and Bab Sharqi area in Damascus, in a new violation of de-escalation zone agreement in Eastern Ghouta.
A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that armed groups positioned in Eastern Ghouta on Saturday afternoon targeted with two mortar shells al-Mleiha road and Bab Sharqi area in Damascus, injuring four persons, in addition to causing material damage.
