Hundreds of residents of Deir Hafer returned to their towns and villages in the eastern countryside of Aleppo after the Syrian army has completed clearance operations of landmines and explosive devices where the terrorist groups planted before they were expelled.

The residents expressed their gratitude and pleasure over their return.

A service team, including representatives from the directorates of electricity, water, communications, education, health and trade, toured the liberated areas, inspected the situation of services sector and listened to the residents’ demands and needs.

The tour included distributing assistance materials and providing vaccines to more than 200 children, in addition to conducting medical examination for more than 250 patients in order to diagnose their illness and treat them.

Syrian Troops Continue to Advance in Homs to Reach Gates of Deir Ezzur

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army forces advanced in new areas in Eastern Homs and deployed in regions 8km away from ISIL’s last base, the key town of al-Sukhnah.

The army soldiers regained control of the hills near al-Sukhnah-Tawinan road and imposed control over al-Mujbal region, 8km away from al-Sukhnah, after clashes with the ISIL in Eastern Homs.

A military source said that the Syrian army could win back control of several points near al-Heil energy field and establish security in the region after driving terrorists out of the energy field.

Meantime, the Syrian warplanes launched airstrikes on ISIL moves and positions in Northern al-Shandakhiyeh and Um Tuweini in Job al-Jarah, 73km away from Homs city, blowing up several terrorist bases and their military equipment.

In a relevant development on Wednesday, the Syrian army troops continued to hit ISIL’s defense lines in the depth of the country’s Badiyeh (desert) and managed to impose control over more positions en route to the key town of al-Sukhnah.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL East of al-Heil energy field in Eastern Homs and managed to take back al-Heil gas station.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery and missile units shelled heavily ISIL’s positions near al-Sukhnah, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

A military source said that ISIL terrorists are fleeing towards Deir Ezzur after the Russian and Syrian fighter jets intensified airstrikes in Syria’s Badiyeh and destroyed ISIL’s command centers and warehouses.

More Regions Join Peace Plan with Army

TEHRAN (FNA)- Militants in seven more villages and towns in Homs province handed over their weapons to the Syrian army and joined peace agreement with Damascus government.

Homs

The Russian Defense Ministry said that gunmen in seven villages and towns in Homs province surrendered to the army and joined the nationwide reconciliation plan, adding, “The total number of regions, towns, settlements and villages that have thus far ended fight with the Syrian army stands at 2,032.”

The ministry added that talks between the army and representatives of the militants are underway in the provinces of Aleppo, Idlib, Damascus, Hama, Homs and Quneitra.

The army men deployed in Tafheh al-Janoubi also advanced against ISIL towards the Northeast and imposed control over several positions 2km to the Homs-Palmyra highway in Eastern Homs.

The army units further fortified the newly-captured positions in Eastern Homs.

In the meantime, the Syrian Air Force pounded ISIL’s positions and movements in the towns and villages of al-Sukhnah, Humeimeh, Shandakhiyeh al-Janoubi, al-Salehiyeh, Mosheirefeh al-Shamali and Um al-Reish, destroying all the targets and killing a number of terrorists.

Hama

Media reports said that hundreds of families have returned to their regions in Northern Hama following the clean up operation of the Syrian Army’s engineering units in the region.

The Syrian state news agency reported that hundreds of families that had fled their homes for fear of terrorists’ threats have returned to the villages and towns of Souran, Taybat al-Imam, Ma’ardes, Kawkab and Ma’aden in Northern Homs.

The agency said that the engineering units have defused bombs and landmines planted by the terrorist groups in the region.

Damascus

The Syrian Army troop and the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters, backed up by the Russian Air Force, are to kick off a fresh round of operations against ISIL and Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) at border with Lebanon, Arab media reports said.

The Arabic-language al-Hadath news reported that the tactical plans have been prepared for military operation against ISIL and Al-Nusra Front in Jaroud mountain and the Syrian soldiers and Hezbollah fighters, equipped by modern Russian weapons, will start imminently their operation against terrorists.

In the meantime, the Russian Air Force will support the Syrian soldiers and Hezbollah with surveillance and combat missions in the operation.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army has embarked on reinvigorating its positions at the borders with Syria to defend border villages against possible revenge attacks of the terrorists and block their flow into Lebanese territories while fleeing the battlefields in Syria.

Also on Wednesday, the Syrian Army troops continued to clash with Al-Nusra Front in Eastern Ghouta and managed to impose control over more positions and buildings in Ein Terma region.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with Al-Nusra in Ein Terma and drove terrorists out of several buildings Northwest of the meat-packing company.

The army men also advanced against Al-Nusra from al-Kheir bazaars and reached the Kuyen shopping center in Ein Terma Wadi region.

A number of Al-Nusra terrorists were killed or wounded in the clashes.

Raqqa

The Syrian Army troops have thus far captured large areas in Badiyeh (desert) of Raqqa, inching closer to the Deir Ezzur city that is under the siege of the ISIL terrorists, field sources said.

The sources said that the Syrian Army has captured a number of energy fields in Southwestern Raqqa, deploying the provincial borders with Homs.

The sources further added that the army soldiers have won back hundreds of square kilometers of lands in the province, and deployed at Mount al-Bushra that was once along the path normally taken by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the dead ISIL chief.

Deploying at Mount al-Bushra that links Raqqa to Deir Ezzur, the army forces are only 50km away from the Northwestern borders with Deir Ezzur.

Idlib

Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) engaged in fierce clashes with Ahrar al-Sham rival terrorist group in several regions in Southern Idlib and managed to take control of several positions.

A fresh round of heavy infighting erupted between Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham in the villages and towns of Iblin, Haas, Kansafreh, Hazarin, Kafr Nabal, Kafruma and Idlib, leaving several militants dead or wounded.

A number of militants from both sides were captured too.

Field sources reported that Tahrir al-Sham took control of Ahrar al-Sham’s checkpoint along Hawarin-Kafr Nabal road, the town of Hazarin and another checkpoint at the Western entrance of the town of Kafruma in Southern Idlib.

The sources said that Ahrar al-Sham dispatched more forces and equipment to the town of Hazarin in Idlib’s countryside to attack the positions of Tahrir al-Sham.

Also, Tahrir al-Sham sent a large volume of military hardware to the villages of Jabal (mount) al-Zaweiyeh.

Based on the field reports Tahrir al-Sham and Ahrar al-Sham have engaged in heavy fighting in the villages of Jabal al-Zawiyeh up to the village of Haas.

The reports added that the two warring groups have gone on full alert in Bab al-Hawa passageway and Northern Idlib.

Deir Ezzur

Local sources confirmed that a large number of ISIL terrorist group’s commanders have started fleeing towns in Eastern Deir Ezzur following the recent advances of the Syrian Army troops in Eastern Homs and Southern Raqqa towards Deir Ezzur.

The sources said that a large number of ISIL field commanders have fled the town of al-Mayadeen and its surroundings in Southeastern Deir Ezzur after the army troops in Raqqa and Homs deserts managed to advance against terrorists.

The sources further added that ISIL Commander in the town of al-Ashareh Northeast of al-Mayadeen Barakat Motaleb nom de guerre Qasoureh al-Ashari has fled the battlefield.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Air Force carried out a fresh round of combat flights over ISIL-held regions in Deir Ezzur as Army troops continued their advances against terrorists in Raqqa and Homs provinces towards Deir Ezzur province.

The army aircraft targeted ISIL’s movements and strongholds around of Deir Ezzur airbase, Zamen battalion base, the village of al-Janineh, al-Kanamat passageway, and the neighborhoods of al-Hamidiyeh and al-Sina’ah.

Tens of ISIL terrorists were killed and several positions, vehicles and a large volume of their military equipment were destroyed in the air raids.

In the meantime, local sources in Southeastern Deir Ezzur reported that unknown assailants set fire at one of the media centers of the ISIL near al-Bakreh square in the town of al-Mayadeen.

More Militants Lay Down Arms

TEHRAN (FNA)- Over 10 militants stationed in Damascus countryside, who had earlier rejected the peace agreement wit the government and were transferred to Idlib, surrendered themselves and their weapons to the Syrian authorities to return to normal life.

According to amnesty decree No. 15 for 2016, 11 militants who had earlier resided in the town of Qodsiyeh near Damascus and had recently left the region for Idlib were granted amnesty by the government within the framework of the reconciliation agreement.

The militants moved to Hama province after leaving Idlib and surrendered themselves and their arms to the Syrian authorities.

ISIL Command Centers Smashed by Syrian Ground, Air Forces in Deir Ezzur

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian ground and air forces in a joint anti-ISIL operation in Deir Ezzur targeted the terrorists’ moves and bases in the city and destroyed several of their positions.

The Syrian army units launched heavy artillery and missile attacks on ISIL hideouts in the western parts of the regions near the Brigade 137, al-Jubaileh, al-Hawiqeh, areas near Panorama and Qeta al-Ta’mineh region, smashing one of the militants’ command centers and several of their military vehicles.

A number of ISIL terrorists were also killed in the operation.

Meantime, the Syrian air force heavily pounded the ISIL moves and positions near Deir Ezzur airbase, al-Tharda region and the districts of al-Arafi, al-Arazi, al-Jabileh, al-Sina’ah and al-Hamidiyeh as well as the villages of al-Janineh and al-Jafreh and the regions near the cemetery, inflicting tens of casualties on the terrorists.

Also, the local sources said that several ISIL commanders, including Abdolrazzaq al-Amir, Ahmed al-Amir, Fahad al-Amir and Samer Khalaf al-Nasser al-Mashhadani, have fled the village of Zabiyan and al-Mayadeen city in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Syrian Army Regains Control of 15 Oil, Gas Fields in Raqqa

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army forces, backed by the air force, continued to advance in the Southern parts of Raqqa province, winning back control of 15 energy fields.

The Syrian soldiers engaged in clashes with the terrorists in Southern Raqqa, and retook control of the town and dam of al-Ramilan as well as 15 oil and gas fields in the Eastern parts of Dabisan and the two 1 and 2 pumping stations.

Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets pounded the ISIL positions in the Southern parts of the village of al-Zamleh near al-Ma’adan city in Southern Raqqa.

Also, a military source reported that a large number of terrorists were killed and 7 of their bomb-laden cars, 5 military vehicles and several of their bases were smashed in the operations.

Russian Air Force destroys vehicles and sites for ISIS in Hama

The Russian Air Force launched intensive strikes on sites and movement axes of ISIS terrorists in Jub al-Abyad area in the eastern countryside of Salamiyeh in Hama province, according to a military source.

The airstrikes resulted in the destruction of sites, vehicles loaded with ammunition and vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns for ISIS.

The Syrian Air Force conducted a series of sorties on positions and movements of ISIS terrorist organization in the city of Deir Ezzor and its surroundings.

SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor province said the Syrian army intensified airstrikes on gatherings and positions of ISIS in the neighborhoods of al-Huweiqeh al-Sharqiyeh, al-Sinaa, al-Hamidiyeh, al-Orfi, al-Ardi in the city of Deir Ezzor.

ISIS positions were also targeted in the vicinity of the Regiment, al-Raqqa Bridge, the airport, al-Tharda area, al-Jafra and al-Jneineh village in the surroundings of the city.

The airstrikes caused deaths and injuries among ISIS terrorists and left many of their sites and vehicles, some equipped with machine guns, destroyed

SANA reporter also said that army units engaged in intermittent clashes with ISIS terrorists on the southern and southwestern axes, leaving many of them dead or wounded and their weapons destroyed.

The reporter named several terrorists who were killed in the past days, including Hussein al-Mohammad and Hani Sultan al-Hamdouni from Iraq, in addition to Saif Fakhri al-Sarraj, Mohammad Shahada al-Hadidi, Abu Ayman al-Hubeiti and Abu Mous al-Makkawi.

Local sources mentioned that leaders within ISIS continue to flee areas in the countryside of Deir Ezzor under the advance of the Syrian army, the latest was a security official of ISIS in al-Mayadin city called Abu Wissam al-Adnan.

The sources also noted that ISIS executed one of its members WHO IS FROM Morocco in Buqrus town and another person named Mohammad Satm al-Hamid in al-Qammouriyeh city.

Raqqa

Army units continued their operations against ISIS terrorists in the depth of al-Badia in the direction of Raqqa, restoring a number of oil fields in the areas of Ma’adan, al-Rabia, Rasm al-Ghanem and al-Jablah in the southern countryside of Raqqa.

Army’s operations also resulted in the destruction of a number of sites and gatherings for ISIS and the killing of a number of terrorists.

Hundreds of Russian Forces Deployed in Southern Syria

TEHRAN (FNA)- Hundreds of Russian forces have been stationed in Southern Syria to monitor the ceasefire in Dara’a province, media sources said.

Syria’s ARA news quoted local sources as saying that 400 Russian military police forces have reached the driving training center near the village of al-Mothabin and the town of al-Sanamin in Northern Dara’a which are controlled by the Syrian army.

The sources also said that the Syrian soldiers have set up a temporary military base for the Russian military police forces in the Northern parts of al-Isharah Battalion 110 region and near the town of al-Sanamin.

Reports said that the Russian forces visited several army-controlled areas, including the military ones, as well as the regions near the terrorist-held regions in the towns of Izra’a, Kharbat Qazaleh and Sheikh Meskin.

A military source confirmed on Tuesday that the Russian military forces have deployed to the Southern territories of Syria to observe implementation of de-escalation zones agreement.

The source reported that the Russian military has deployed to Dara’a province to begin their indefinite operation to monitor the ceasefire in Southern Syria.

According to the military source, the Russian military will be specifically headquartered in the town of Izra’a, as they serve as the primary force observing truce in de-escalation zones in the Southern part of Syria.

A ceasefire came into force in Southwest Syria — in the provinces of Dara’a, Sweida and Quneitra in the Southwest, along the Jordanian border — in July 9 after a deal was brokered by the US and Russia on the sidelines of G-20 summit in the German city of Hamburg.

Syrian government forces had announced a halt to combat operations in the three provinces. According to the military, the move is aimed at supporting the peace process and national reconciliation in Syria.

The ceasefire was agreed to by experts from Russia, the US and Jordan, who negotiated a memorandum on the creation of a de-escalation zone in Southwestern Syria at talks in Jordan’s capital, Amman.

The US and Russia had previously negotiated a ceasefire in Syria in September 2016, but it collapsed after US aircraft bombed a Syrian government position, leading Moscow to wonder if the Pentagon was undermining the State Department’s efforts.

Meantime, the army’s artillery units pounded the terrorists’ positions in Jobar and in Jobar-Zmelka-Ein Tarma triangle.

Also, reports said that the Syrian troops have regained control of several residential blocks in the region.

They also destroyed several bases of the terrorists in the Northern parts of Marble factory in Ein Tarma, killing a number of militants.

The Syrian army troops had also on Wednesday managed to impose control over more positions and buildings in Ein Terma region.

Lebanese, Syrian Gov’t Troops Go on Alert to Start Major Offensive in Bordering Areas

TEHRAN (FNA)- Security sources reported on Thursday that the Lebanese and Syrian armies are on alert to start parallel operations against the ISIL and al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) terrorist groups in the bordering heights of Arsal region.

The sources said that the Lebanese army is prepared to start parallel military operations in Arsal region with Syria and has closed off all routes to the region.

Also, the Syrian army has sent a large number of military forces and equipment to Western Qalamoun near the border with Lebanon.

A military source noted that the Syrian fighter jets are now targeting the terrorists’ positions in an introduction to the operations, and added that the Syrian soldiers and the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance group will start military operations in Syria in the first phase.

Meantime, he added that the Lebanese army soldiers will also safeguard the Eastern borders to prevent the Takfiri terrorists from crossing into the country.

The Syrian air force has in the past few days pounded the terrorists’ positions in Faliteh heights and Wadi al-Khayl region in Arsal region.
