Syrian Army Makes Fresh Gains in War on Terrorism in Aleppo Province

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops continued cleansing operations South-East of Aleppo and pushed ISIL back from more territories along the road to Hama province.

The army men carried out a fresh round of mop-up operation along the road that connects the town of al-Rasafeh to the town of Ithriya in Northeastern Hama and managed to take control over the villages of Khirbet Qasr al-Matyah and Jabal Aqroub Zaro.

The Syrian pro-government forces further deployed 15km away from their comrades in Ithriya.

Relevant reports said on Thursday that the army troops conducted military operations against the last remaining ISIL stronghold in Aleppo province that is represented by a belt of fortified villages buried in a mountainous semi-desert landscape to the Northeast of the strategic town of Khanasser.

The army soldiers could retake control of the town of al-Jadideh in the Eastern parts of Khanasser.

They also continued operations in the Northeastern parts of Khanasser, recapturing the towns of Rasm Askar, Al Atshaneh and Sharimeh.

The army troops, meantime, won back control of three strategic hills in the region.

Terrorists Retreat from More Positions in Eastern Damascus

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops continued to storm terrorists’ defense lines in Eastern Ghouta and managed to seize several building blocks after inflicting major casualties on the terrorists.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists West of Wadi (desert) Ein Terma and captured al-Sonbol petrol station and several building complexes.

A number of terrorists were killed or wounded in the attack.

A field sources said on Thursday the army imposed control over all the tunnels that were once used by the terrorists in Eastern Damascus, adding that the first stage of their operations in the region was complete.

The source said that the army completed an important part of its goals by capturing the town of Ein Terma and “all the tunnels dug by the terrorists on the basis of Israeli plans and designs”.

“Meantime, the Syrian army intends to separate the towns of Jobar, Zmalka and Ein Terma from each other and advance inside the districts in Eastern Damascus in a way that the terrorists are left with no other option but retreating towards the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus,” he added.

The source also said that the army has demolished the terrorists’ bases, 4 operations rooms and several other targets, including a number of arms and ammunition depots as well as the logistics sent from Harmaleh passageway to the militants, in artillery and missile attacks against the terrorists’ bases and positions in the towns of Ein Terma, Jobar and Zmalka.

Syrian Army Preparing for Fresh Large-Scale Operation against Terrorists in Hama

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army special forces are getting ready to kick off a fresh round of anti-ISIL operation in Eastern Hama, local sources confirmed.

The sources said that the special forces of Desert Hawks Brigade of the army have recently deployed to Eastern Hama after taking a long hiatus following the battle of Aleppo.

The sources added that the deployment of fresh soldiers to Eastern Hama comes just weeks after the army’s Tiger Forces resumed their offensive operations along the Aleppo-Raqqa road.

While the battle for Western Raqqa is no cake walk, the upcoming battle for Eastern Salamiyah might prove to be one of the most intense battles to take place across Syria.

Not only the town of Aqayrabat is strategically located along the ISIL’s important supply route in Central Syria, it is also the key to the entire Eastern countryside of Salamiyah region.

In the coming weeks, the Desert Hawks – alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF), 11th Tank Division, and Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) – are expected to begin this long-awaited offensive to retake Eastern Salamiyah and expel the ISIL forces from Central Syria once and for all.

Relevant reports said on Thursday that the army dispatched a large number of its special forces and state-of-the-art military equipment to accelerate anti-ISIL operations in Eastern Hama.

A large convoy of reinforcements comprised of Desert Hawks arrived in the Eastern territories of Hama province to take part in the anti-ISIL military operation in Eastern Salamiyah.

A military source said that two other convoys of Desert Hawks would also join the Syrian soldiers soon to start the new phase of the operations in Hama.

The source added that a number of T-90 tanks were also sent to Hama to be used for anti-ISIL operations.

Syrian Army Hits Terrorists’ Positions Hard in Golan Heights

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army troops struck back against the terrorists in the occupied Golan Heights, following a powerful assault that was launched by the latter near the town of al-Ba’ath.

Led by their rocket battalions, the army rained several rockets and artillery shells on the enemy defense lines West of al-Ba’ath, scoring many direct hits in the process.

As a result of this barrage of rockets and artillery shells, the army and the National Defense Forces (NDF) were able to retake a checkpoint near al-Ba’ath’s Western perimeter.

In relevant developments in the province on Thursday Terrorists’ defense lines collapsed as the Syrian army started clashes with al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) in Quneitra.

The Syrian army soldiers engaged in heavy clashes with al-Nusra terrorists who had attacked the army positions near al-Ba’ath city in the outskirts of Quneitra.

Simultaneous with Israeli fighter jets’ attacks against the army positions in Quneitra, the Al-Nusra could advance in the region again but the Syrian troops regained control of the lost areas in counter attacks.

Terrorists Fail to Prevail over Army in Hama Province

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army soldiers fended off terrorists’ large-scale attack in Southwestern Hama after inflicting a number of casualties on them.

The army men engaged in heavy fighting with terrorists in the villages of Qurmus and warded off their attack, inflicting major losses on the militants.

In the meantime, the terrorists carried out missile attacks on residential areas in the town of Salhab in Western Hama, forcing the army to target militants’ position North of Deir Sonbol.

Syrian Army Expands Control to Southern Deir Ezzur

TEHRAN (FNA)- Local reports said ISIL is facing unprecedented problems after the recent advances of the Syrian Army troops in the Southern part of Deir Ezzur.

The sources said that the army is yet to liberate the ISIL-held town of Hamimah although steady gains are underway towards the T2 Pumping Station in Southern Deir Ezzur, however, clashes are ongoing on the perimeter of Hamimah where government troops have begun a large-scale assault.

Commanded by Brigadier General Rafiq Shahadeh, the army has deployed elements of the 1st, 4th, 11th and 18th divisions alongside the Republican Guards and Russian-trained 5th Legion to spearhead a military campaign which looks to thrust through the ISIL’s interior lines, brushing aside any militant resistant in the process.

The Lebanese Hezbollah, the Popular Mobilization Units, Kata’ib al-Imam Ali, Harakat Al-Nujaba, 313 forces, Liwa Al-Quds and Liwa Fatemiyoun are assisting the Syrian troops in their war on ISIL in the region.

According to a military source some 50,000 pro-government troops are stationed across the entire Eastern Homs battlefield.

Relevant reports said on Thursday that the army’s ground and air forces launched a major anti-ISIL operation in Southern Deir Ezzur, and pushed the terrorists back after a heavy battle.

The army soldiers engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorists near Brigade 137 region, Talat al-Barouk and Panorama in the Southern and Southwestern parts of Deir Ezzur city.

Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets launched heavy air assaults on ISIL moves and positions in al-Roshdiyeh, al-Huweiqa, Hawijeh Sokr, the old airport, al-Jafreh, al-Sina’ah, al-Arafi, Ayyash, al-Hajif and al-Bu Lail regions as well as areas near the airport, killing and wounding a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and military equipment.

Also, Syrian airstrikes on ISIL positions in al-Hawijeh-al-Jafreh in the Northern parts of Deir Ezzur airbase blew up 4 vehicles and inflicted a hundred percent casualty on the terrorists traveling in the vehicles.
