Syrian Children with Serious, Chronic Disease Delivered to Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg

Syrian children with serious chronic diseases were delivered to the Military Medical Academy in Saint Petersburg

Syrian children with serious chronic diseases, which need immediate medical assistance, will undergo medical treatment in the clinic of childhood deceases of the Military Medical Academy named after Sergei Kirov. Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has made the relevant decision in accordance to the working results of the Russian military medical personnel, when they had been providing assistance to their Syrian counterparts.

Six children (6-14 years old) with deceases of locomotor system, nervous system, and other serious deceases have been delivered to Saint Petersburg. The children were transported by an aircraft under the care of the Russian medical specialists.

All the children have been transported from liberated Syrian areas, which had been controlled by terrorists for a long period of time. Therefore, they have not received proper medical treatment for years. They cannot get proper medical treatment in Syria because there is no necessary equipment and qualified specialists.
