The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has remained 47.

Results of ceasefire monitoring

The ceasefire regime has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 4 ceasefire violations have been registered (Latakia – 3, Homs – 1).

In the Latakia province, militants of Ahrar al-Sham grouping, which had claimed to belong to the opposition, continued mortar shelling against positions of the government troops near Sandran, Quinsibba, and Faraa. One Syrian serviceman was killed and eleven ones were wounded.

Militants of Jaysh al-Islam carried out mortar shelling against positions of the government troops near Kafr Nan from Tajar Amir (Homs province).

Russian Aerospace Forces and Syrian Air Forces did not make strikes on armed formations, which follow ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or American Centres for reconciliation about their location.

Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria

The Russian Centre for reconciliation delivered presents to orphans houses of Aleppo.

Syrian leadership has delivered 28 tons of food products using Russian parachute systems to citizens of Deir ez-Zor, which had been besieged by terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS.

Humanitarian convoy to the Hama province is being formed.

Additional information

Specialists of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces have cleared more than 20 hectares in the historical part of Palmyra from mines, including 3 hectares with usage of robotic hardware. They have defused 152 explosive devices.

Armed groups of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra (not included in the Russian-American agreement on ceasefire in Syria) continue taking efforts to perform armed provocative actions and attacks against civilians and the government troops.

After artillery shelling, up to 1,500 terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra supported by 3 tanks and 20 automobiles with large-caliber machine guns attacked positions of Kurdish militia in Sheikh Maqsood from Ashrafiyah and al-Shababi (Aleppo).

18 civilians, including children, and 11 members of Kurdish units were killed. 36 people received wounds of different severity.

Because of rough escalation, aircraft of Russian Aerospace Forces hit positions of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in suburbs of Aleppo and quelled their attempts for offensive after conducting aerial reconnaissance and detecting sharp locations of targets.

Hotline of the Russian Centre continues receiving information about increasing of number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Aleppo. According to the received information, a group (more than 90 men) has arrived in Ashrafiyah from Bshantara. This is the evidence of possible preparation for large-scale offensive by terrorists.

Jabhat al-Nusra intensified shelling of Braidge al-Rih and Handrat. Within last 24 hours, mortar fire was opened for five times from Muheim Handrat, which had been captured by militants.

In 40 kilometers to north-east from Damascus, ISIS terrorist formations took efforts to capture Dumeir military airfield. Having suffered significant losses, terrorists retreated in direction of Tell Dakua mountain.

Near Zerba (Aleppo province), Su-22 aircraft of the Syrian Air Forces has been downed. The jet was performing air space control tasks.

Syrian Army Recaptures Strategic Town of Al-Eis

TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian Army forces and their allies managed to recapture the strategic town of al-Eis and its adjacent hill in Southern Aleppo during an intense night operation, military sources said Wednesday.

“Syrian Army, National Defense Forces (NDF), in an intensive night operation, attacked terrorists’ defense line in al-Eis and forced them to retreat and eventually leave all their positions in the city and its adjacent areas,” said the battlefield source.

“The victory for the Syrian Army against terrorists in Aleppo province was secured after a costly battle with early reports indicated heavy casualties on both sides.”

Recapturing the Al-Eis by pro-government forces comes after terrorists, just 3 days ago, during a surprise offensive which some considered a de facto breach of the Syrian ceasefire had occupied the city.

However, terrorists inside the city and at its nearby hill top have came under hourly air raids and 3 separate government assaults over the past 2 days by Syrian Army forces.

Yesterday, the Syrian Army forces and their allies, backed by Syrian and Russian air support, launched a comprehensive operation to recapture Al-Eis..

“As a preliminary phase of the operation, the Syrian and Russian fighter jets conducted several airstrikes over the terrorists’ positions and their fortification in Al-Eis, and the nearby village of Banes, hitting a number of targets to facilitate the advance of the ground forces,” a source said.

Later, the Syrian Army and NDF took the initiative to attack the terrorist positions in al-Eis and its nearby areas and engaged in intense battles with terrorists to recapture the town South of Aleppo province.

Sources said the Syrian forces have repeatedly repelled militants’ attacks in recent days and managed to kill a large number of them.

On November 12, the Syrian army troops backed by Hezbollah forces and Russian Air Force gained control over al-Eis, however they terrorist made several attempts to wreak havoc in the town.

Al-Eis turned into the scene of fierce clashes between pro-government and terrorists after the Syrian army and Hezbollah resistance movement forces made huge advances in the Southwestern part of Aleppo, and prevailed over Al-Hadher region, leading to terrorists withdrawal toward al-Eis town, West of al-Hadhar city.

The Syrian army then captured al-Eis heights in a consequent move against terrorists.

The army lost the town last week.

Al-Eis Recapture Paves Way for Syrian Army Move to Idlib Province

TEHRAN (FNA)- The winning back of the strategic town of al-Eis and its adjacent hill in Southern Aleppo on Wednesday morning was a crucially important step paving the way for the Syrian army to move to Idlib province.

Winning back of Tal al-Eis has given the pro-government forces the high ground in Southern Aleppo, which allows them fire control over the strategic Aleppo-Damascus Highway (M-5 Highway) that flows into the provincial capital.

With thousands of soldiers in the strategic towns of Al-Hadher, Al-Safira, and Al-Eis, the pro-government forces have shifted their attention to the key village of Al-Zorba and the nearby ICARDA Farms that provide the government forces a gateway to regions Northeast of Idlib province.

The Syrian army and popular forces have pushed their way to the outskirts of the ICARDA Farms, where they are currently engaged in a fierce battle with Al-Nusra Front, Jund Al-Aqs, Ahrar Al-Sham Movement, Ajnad Al-Sham, and the Free Syrian Army’s “Division 13”.

In addition to their assault on the ICARDA Farms, the government forces are also pushing West towards Al-Zorba as they look to cross the Aleppo-Damascus Highway and cutoff the extremist rebels completely.

Clashes are currently ongoing between the rebel and government forces; however, preliminary reports from southern Aleppo indicate the latter is still on the move.

On Tuesday, a battlefield source said that the Syrian Army, National Defense Forces (NDF), backed by other pro-government sources, in an intensive night operation, attacked terrorists’ defense line in al-Eis and forced them to retreat and eventually leave all their positions in the city and its adjacent areas.
