The army restores security to several hills in Aleppo northern countryside

The Syrian Arab Army restored security and stability to areas in Aleppo province, killing terrorists and destroying their positions, weapons, and equipment in the province and in several other areas.

Aleppo

Army units, in cooperation with supporting forces, restored stability and security to the hills of Dahret al-Qaraa and Dahret al-Qandileh and all the heights of al-Tamoura to the southwest of al-Zahraa town in the northern countryside of Aleppo province, sources on the ground told SANA reporter on Friday.

The remaining positions and fortifications of the terrorist organizations in those hills were eliminated, the sources said.

The army’s engineering units later removed the bombs and explosive devices left behind by the terrorists after many of them were killed and the rest fled the area.

Later, a military source told SANA that the Syrian Air Force carried out airstrikes on terrorists’ concentrations in al-Seen, north of Rasm al-Alam, Sarja village in the northern countryside, and Jub al-Kalb village in the eastern countryside of the province, killing many terrorists, destroying others, and destroying their hideouts and vehicles.

Airstrikes also targeted terrorists’ fortified positions and gatherings in Jub Ghabsha village in Hreitan area, killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying their weapons, munitions, and vehicles.

Daraa

In southern Syria, army units targeted gatherings and hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Yadouda town in northwestern Daraa and al-Nueimeh town in eastern Daraa, a military source told SANA.

A bulldozer for the terrorists was destroyed on Daraa-Tafas road in northern Daraa, while a gathering of vehicles was directly hit in Tissya town, 40 km in the southeastern countryside of Daraa province, according to the source.

A number the vehicles with arms and equipment inside were destroyed, the source confirmed.

Hama

Army units restored stability and security to the villages of Jub al-Saad and Rasm Amon and the hills surrounding them on Salamia-Athria Road in the eastern countryside of Hama.

Homs

Army units targeted terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra in Abu al-Sanasel hill, al-Darwish area in Oum Sharshouh village, and in the surroundings of Kiseen village in the northern countryside of Homs province.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Air Force carried out airstrikes on terrorists’ concentrations in Terimaala village and Talbiseh town in the north of the province, killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying their hideouts, fortified positions, and vehicles.

In the eastern countryside, army units thwarted an infiltration attempt by ISIS terrorists towards a military checkpoint in al-Maqalaa area on the road of al-Taifor-Palmyra -al-Baiarat and another attempt by other terrorist groups from Unk al-Hawa towards Jub al-Jarah village in Homs countryside, killing a number of the attacking terrorists, injuring others, and destroying their munitions and equipment.

The army also killed and injured many terrorists from ISIS and destroyed their hideouts, gatherings, vehicles, weapons, and munitions in the surroundings of al-Qaryatain town, in al-Sawwana village, and the citrus groves (Bayyarat) area near Palmyra.

Lattakia

The Syrian Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes targeting hotbeds and fortified positions of terrorists in Abu Ali mountain, al-Qamou’a, al-Baida, south of Ein al-Ghazal, and northeast of al-Aalia in the northern countryside of Lattakia province.

A military source told SANA that the airstrikes resulted in killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying their hideouts, weapons, munitions, and vehicles.

Deir Ezzor

An army unit repelled an attack by ISIS terrorists on Deir Ezzor military airport, killing dozens of them, including terrorists of foreign nationalities, including 7 Saudis, 3 Iraqis, 2 Egyptians, and 2 Tunisians, a military source told SANA.

The source also said that another army unit destroyed a Konkurs missile launch pad used by terrorists and eliminated ten terrorists in al-Jafra in Deir Ezzor countryside.

Delegated by President Bashar al-Assad, Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal and Member of the Regional Command of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Dr. Ammar Saati visited on Friday the towns of Nubul and al-Zahraa in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

During a meeting with the locals at the Arab Cultural Center in Nubul town, al-Hilal conveyed the greetings of President al-Assad to the families of Nubul and al-Zahraa towns and to all the families of Aleppo.

Al-Hilal affirmed that the people of those towns are an example of steadfastness and heroism.

He pointed out that the successive victories achieved by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army and allied forces on all fronts confirm once again that the Syrian army has the upper hand in the battle against terrorists all over the Syrian land.

Al-Hilal also inspected the situation of the injured and ill persons at Nubul Hospital, stressing on the necessity of providing all care to them.

Terrorist organizations targeted on Friday Daraa city with mortar shells, injuring 2 citizens.

A source at Daraa province told SANA that terrorists positioned in al-Naima town fired mortar shells which landed on the citizens’ houses in al-Kashif al-Sharqi neighborhood in Daraa city.

The source added that 2 citizens were injured due to the attack which also caused material damage to the citizens’ properties.

Kurdish YPG Encircles Militant Strongholds in Aleppo

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Kurdish “People’s Protection Units” (YPG) continued to advance against the militant groups in the Northern part of Aleppo province and have approximately completed siege of a militant-held key city North of Aleppo.
Azaz has been encircled by Kurdish fighters over the past 48 hours as preliminary reports indicate clashes at the Western entrance and national hospital in Azaz.

If the YPG captures the strategic city of Azaz, this would enable a major offensive Eastward near the positions of their Kurdish comrades in Kobani and Hasaka.

Also, the Syrian Army is gradually closing in on al-Bab and Azaz from the South as government forces have greatly expanded their territory in Aleppo province since October of 2015.

On Thursday, several gathering centers of the al-Nusra Front and other terrorist groups came under heavy attack by the Syrian fighter jets.

The army’s airstrikes against Sawaran village near Azaz city, which is one of the main lines of supply used by the terrorists to procure arms and transfer fresh recruits, killed and wounded dozens of militants.

Also the Syrian warplanes targeted al-Nusra Front positions and centers in the villages and towns of al-Bawabiya, Komarin, al-Zarba and Khan al-Assal on the Southern and Southwestern outskirts of Aleppo city.

Syrian Army, Popular Forces Inflict Heavy Casualties on Militants in Dara’a

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army men alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF) hit heavily the militants’ concentration centers in the Northeastern part of Dara’a, battlefield sources said Friday, adding that the militants suffered a major death toll in the attacks.

Scores of the militants were killed and their ammunition depot was destroyed in the Syrian army and the NDF’s offensives in the Southern side of the town of Tafas.

In the meantime, the Syrian pro-government forces struck the terrorist centers near the village of Yadouda, which left many militants killed or wounded and their logistic machinery destroyed.

Also on Thursday, the Syrian Army’s artillery and infantry units opened fire at the fortified positions of the militant groups across Southern Dara’a province, leaving tens of the terrorists dead or wounded.

The militant groups’ strongholds near the towns of Tafas in the Northeast, al-Naima and Elma in the Southern regions of Dara’a were shelled by the Syrian artillery.

The shelling not only ended in the killing and wounding of several militants but also slowed down their logistic movements in the battlefronts.

Syria: Tribal Fighters Hit ISIL Defense Lines near Border with Iraq

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian pro-government tribesmen stormed the ISIL positions in a city in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur bordering Iraq’s Anbar province, and forced the terrorists to retreat from their strongholds.

Fighters Sheitat tribe carried out a powerful assault on the ISIL positions at their main headquarters inside the city of Albu Kamal near the Iraqi border-crossing into the Anbar province.

The tribal fighters established full control over the ‘Aisha National Hospital after an intense battle with the ISIL terrorists who converted this medical facility into a military base.

In relevant development in the Eastern battlefields of the country on Thursday, Syrian fighter jets kept bombarding ISIL’s positions and gathering centers in nearby areas East of Deir Ezzur’s military airbase and in the suburban areas of al- Baqaliyeh, which claimed the lives of many terrorists.

The Syrian army troops, for their part, engaged in heavy fighting with the ISIL terrorists in the two districts of al-Sina’ah and al-Rasafah inside the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur, inflicting several casualties on the militants.

The Syrian artillery supported the soldiers during the operation by pounding ISIL’s positions, and these shelling attacks imposed heavy losses and damage on the militants.

The Syrian army and popular forces also engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL terrorist group in the village of al-Tayibeh East of Deir Ezzur province, killing a number of militants and wounding many more.

US Warplanes Bomb Aleppo City North of Syria

TEHRAN (FNA)- Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement that US fighter jets entered the Syrian airspace and targeted different neighborhoods in the Northern city of Aleppo.

“Just before 2 p.m. Moscow time (1100 GMT on Wednesday), two US Air Force A-10s flew into Syrian airspace from Turkish territory,” Konashenkov said.

“After reaching Aleppo by the most direct route, the US planes “conducted strikes against targets in the city,” Konashenkov added.

Russia’s defense ministry said Thursday that its air force had hit 1,888 “terrorist targets” in eight regions including Aleppo, Lattakia, Hama and Homs provinces over the past week.

The ministry vehemently dismissed accusations that civilians had been targeted in the strikes, saying that the Russian aviation and Syrian government forces will never launch strikes on the civilian population.

Other terrorist groups’ gathering centers in al-Bab and Deir Hafer cities and Tadif were also attacked by the army’s air force units.

The Syrian Air Force launched a series of massive airstrikes on ISIL and al-Nusra Front’s main military grid and defense lines in Aleppo province on Thursday.

The source said that the ISIL gatherings and military hardware, including a depot of machinegun-equipped vehicles, were destroyed during the strikes in Tadif and Tiba al-Ism regions and nearby farms as well as al-Bab city in the Eastern and Northeastern parts of the province, respectively.

Dozens of ISIL and al-Nusra Front militants were killed and wounded during the attack, the military source added.

Syrian Army, NDF Target ISIL Oil Tankers in Dara’a Province

TEHRAN (FNA)- Several oil tankers of the ISIL terrorist group were targeted by the Syrian Army troops and the National Defense Force (NDF) Northeast of Dara’a province.

The Syrian pro-government forces stormed a column of oil tankers carrying fuel for the ISIL militants’ vehicles and machinery on a way connecting Tal Asheihib al-Janoubi and Tal Asheihib al-Shamali.

Several militants guarding the convoy were also killed after the oil tankers were set ablaze in the attack.

In the recent developments in the Sothern battlefields of the country on Thursday, the county’s fighter jets bombed an ISIL oil tanker and a number of major military facilities and hardware of the terrorist group in Sweida.

“The Syrian Air Force strikers bombed an ISIL oil tanker on a road Southeast of the province” the army said.

“The ISIL militants guarding the tanker were killed in the oil tanker’s blast,” the army added.

ISIL Sustains Major Losses in Army Raids across Homs

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Eastern and Southeastern parts of Homs province were the scenes of intense clashes between the Syrian army troops and the ISIL terrorists group, field sources said Friday, adding the militants sustained a heavy death toll in the assaults.

The Syrian army and the National Defense Forces raided the ISIL sites, strongholds, and defense lines near the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur), al-Tar mountain, on the way to al-Bayarat, the ancient Assyrian town of Quaryatayn and Jubb al-Jarrah across the central province of Homs, which not only claimed the lives of many terrorists but destroyed badly their military grid in large scale.

On Thursday, the Syrian army engaged in heavy clashes with the ISIL terrorists in different parts of Homs.

Sources in the region confirmed large casualties among the militants following heavy clashes with the Syrian army troops on the outskirts of Talbiseh North of the city of Homs and in nearby Keisin village.

Meanwhile, the Syrian artillery units heavily pounded a number of militants’ sites inside Talbiseh and the two nearby villages of Hawsh Haju and al-Saan Aswad, North of Homs city.

Also, fierce battles are underway between the Syrian army forces and the ISIL terrorists around Qauryatayn in the Eastern parts of Homs which led to dozens of casualties among ISIL and destruction of several vehicles of the militants in the region.

Terrorists Withdraw From More Lands in Syria’s Hama

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army and its popular allies continued to advance against the ISIL terrorists Northeast of Hama province, and captured more territories after fierce clashes.

The Syrian army troops, the National Defense Forces (NDF), Liwa Suqour al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade), Kata’ebat al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalion), Fouj al-Joulan (Golani Brigade) and the Palestinian pro-government militia “Liwa Al-Quds” (Jerusalem Brigade) imposed full control over Tal Madakhah after a violent battle with the ISIL terrorists positioned at this small hilltop near Ithriyah.

Following the capture of Tal Madakhah in the Ithriyah countryside, the Syrian Armed Forces continued their advance along the Raqqa-Salamiyah Highway, attacking ISIL’s defense lines at the Height No.7 in Jabal Ahed near Zakiyeh.

The Syrian government forces captured the height before nightfall on Thursday evening; this paved the way for them to establish full control over the Western mountains of Jabal Ahed in the Hama province Eastern part.

With their advance on Thursday, the Syrian Armed Forces inched closer to the Tabaqa Military Airport in Raqqa province, leaving them approximately 40 km Southwest of this strategic site.

In relevant developments on Thursday, the Syrian army forces inflicted heavy blows on the Takfiri militants across Hama province, adding to their recent victories against the terrorist groups in the central province.

The Syrian army and popular forces engaged in fierce clashes with Jeish al-Fatah terrorists in the Southwestern regions of Hama province, killing dozens of militants.

The army troops and the National Defense Forces stormed the terrorists’ defense lines near the town of Hirbnafsa and village of Um Towaini, Southwest of Hama, which left many militants dead or wounded and destroyed their military hardware.
