Dozens of foreign journalists arrived at the Hmeymim airbase in Syria and witnessed preparation process of another humanitarian cargo for citizens of blocked regions
More than 50 foreign journalists, including representatives of leading media agencies from the USA, Great Britain, France, Norway, Armenia, Belarus and Syria, arrived at the Hmeymim airbase located in the Latakia province on Wednesday.
Journalists had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with everyday life of the servicemen, with aircraft preparation for sorties, and to watch combat sorties of the Russian Aerospace Forces performing combat tasks.
Moreover, representatives of the foreign media have witnessed preparation process of another humanitarian cargo for citizens of blocked regions of Syria for the first time.
Journalists were very interested in destination of the humanitarian assistance and what it contained. The Russian servicemen showed that it primarily contained food products and medicaments partly.
The Russian part of the humanitarian assistance is prepared for being loaded by the Russian servicemen at the Hmeymim airbase. It is referred to food products, mainly to dry ration for hanger suffering people in such towns as Deir ez-Zor.
Journalists at the Hmeymim airbase stressed that they were impressed by intensive and correct operational process of the airbase. According to an Italian journalist, the airbase is operating “as a good Swiss watch mechanism”.
