Terrorists attack besieged towns in Aleppo with mortars

Terrorist organizations fired mortars at houses in the besieged Nubbul and al-Zahraa towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo province.

Local sources from the two areas told SANA by phone that a number of mortar rounds smashed into residents’ houses, leaving several people injured.

Several houses were damaged in the attacks, the sources said.

The army units killed more terrorists and destroyed their dens and equipment in different cities and areas around the country.


A military source announced on Saturday that the army units and popular defense groups established control over a number of villages and hills in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Those included Rweiset al-Qamoua village and surrounding hills, the villages of al-Mgheiriyeh, Hawsh al-Mgheiriyeh, Rweiset Bani Jazi and Kedin and Point 1014, the source told SANA.

The operations in those areas, which were “intensified” as the source described, left many terrorists dead and
several vehicles destroyed, along with various types of munitions and equipment.

In spite of the rough and mountainous geography of this countryside, the army units, aided by the popular defense groups, have made quick advances, assuming in the past two days control of Khirbet al-Joubeh Hill, Point 1023, al-
Takhan land, al-Hara Mount, Beit Fares Mount, the villages of al-Sarraf and Beit Fares, al-Daghdaghan farm and Rweiset Abu Ghannam and Rweiset al-Sheikh Salman areas.

Through its operations in those areas, the army has managed to cut off some of the terrorists’ supply routes across the Turkish border, and its units have stepped up efforts to expand the scope of their control.


At least 25 terrorists from ISIS and Jaish al-Fateh terrorist organizations were killed during operations by the Syrian Arab Army and the Syrian Air Force in Hama and Idleb countryside.

A military source said in a statement to SANA that the Air Force carried out sorties against the Jaish al-Fateh terrorists, destroying two vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns and killing at least 8 terrorists in Saraqeb and Maardabseh 26 km southeast of Idleb city.

Airstrikes also destroyed a workshop for making explosive shells and killed a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra in Ma’arat al-Numan 42 km south of Idleb.

In Hama province, army units targeted dens of Jund al-Aqsa and Ahrar al-Cham movement in Tal Waset , Qarqour, and al-Mansoura villages in the northern countryside, which resulted in destroying positions and fortifications of terrorists and vehicles, some of which equipped with heavy machineguns.

Terrorists from al-Izza gathering fell dead during an operation by the army that targeted one of their positions in Kafar Zeta 38 km north of Hama.

Three terrorists from the “Jund al-Aqsa” terror group which is affiliated to ISIS were killed during a special operation by an army unit in Morek 30 km north of Hama.

In the far northwestern part of al-Ghab plain, an army unit killed 6 terrorists from Jaish al-Fateh during operations against their dens in al-Sermaniyeh town, according to field sources.


The army units directly hit terrorist targets in several neighborhoods in Aleppo city, killing many terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other Takfiri organizations, according to the source.

The source said the operations targeted terrorists’ hideouts in al-Rashidin, al-Lairamoun, Bani Zaid, Karm al-Jazmati and al-Zahraa.

A number of mortar launchers were destroyed as a result of the operations.


In southern Syria, Army units targeted gatherings of terrorists in Daraa al-Mahatta neighborhood in Daraa province.

A number of terrorists were killed in the areas east of the Doctors Syndicate, south of Bosra Square and south of Zanoubia school in the neighborhood.

Another army unit destroyed vehicles of terrorists in the southwestern part of al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad, located near the Jordanian border.

The terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of a number of their members, including Hussein al-Hashish from the so-called “Jamaat Bait al-Maqdes” and the terrorist Mohammad Sakhr Muhareb.

Meanwhile, in the northeastern countryside of Sweida, an army unit targeted dens and fortifications of ISIS terrorists southwest of al-Qasr village, 40 km to the northeast of Sweida city.

A number of terrorists were killed and others were injured, while their arms and ammunition were destroyed.

Damascus Countryside

Army units continued to advance in the northwestern side of Marj al-Sultan town in the Eastern Ghouta area of Damascus Countryside, sources on the ground told SANA’s correspondent.

The sources said that the army carried out intensive operations which resulted in establishing control over a number of farms and blocks of buildings in the direction of Hosh Kharabo, in addition to killing 4 terrorists including Yousef Bekdash and Mohsen Ballo.

According to the sources, the army destroyed a mortar launcher and bases for Jabhat al-Nusra and Jaish al-Islam terrorist organizations near the roundabout of al-Bilaliya village east of Marj al-Sultan, in addition to killing 8 terrorists including Ziyad Abdellatif al-Dali, Firas Arnous, and Fouad Saqraq.

Another army unit carried out concentrated artillery strikes on a base of terrorists in the town of Zebdin, destroying it completely and killing terrorists Ahmad al-Lababidi and Hassan Zeno.

At the outskirts of Douma city, army units carried out operations in the farms of Karm al-Rasas, al-Hajjariya, and Abdelraouf, which resulted in destroying a machinegun-equipped car used by Jaish al-Islam terrorists and killing 8 of them including Fawaz al-Namleh, Msallam Mshamshem, and Nidal al-Tawil, while another unit clashed with a terrorist group attempting to sneak towards the farms of Tal al-Sawwan and Hosh al-Fara northeast of Douma, leaving all the group’s members dead or injured.

Four more terrorists including Ali al-Najjar and Ahmad al-Furqawi were killed in an army operation targeting a terrorist hideout northwest of Madira village south of Douma.

Syrian Army continues operations across the country, establishes control over new areas

The Syrian Arab Army established control over new areas across the country on Friday after targeting terrorists’ positions in many areas, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.


An army unit clashed with terrorist groups affiliated to the ISIS in the area surrounding al-Qaryatain city to the southeast of Homs city, according to field sources.

The sources confirmed that 13 terrorists were killed or injured in the process and a vehicle was destroyed along with all weapons and ammunition inside it.

Another army unit carried out operations in Hosh Hajo and al-Saan al-Aswad villages to the north of Homs city, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists and destroying their positions.


Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over Khirbit al-Joba hill and Point 1023 and al-Takhan land in the northeast countryside of Lattakia, according to a military source.

The source added that the army killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons and ammunition.

Army units combed the area and dismantled explosive devices and landmines which terrorists had planted earlier in the area.


Army units carried out precision operations against terrorists’ gatherings in Tal Wasit, al-Mansoura, al-Ziyara and al-Qahira in the far northwestern countryside of Hama province.

The operations resulted in killing 30 terrorists including a leader in “Jaish al-Fatah” terror organization who was nicknamed “Abu Bakr al-Assadi” and in destroying 7 of their vehicles.


37 terrorists killed, 6 armored vehicles destroyed

An army unit destroyed artillery and mortar bases and killed a number of terrorists in the southern and southwest part of al-Manshia neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad.

The army establishes control over many areas in differet regions

The army and armed forces continued combating terrorism all over the country, killing scores of terrorists, destroying their hideouts, foiling their infiltration attempts to safe areas and establishing control over new areas.


The army established control over many villages, hills and strategic posts in the northern countryside of Lattakia on Thursday.

A military source told SANA that an army unit, aided by the popular defense groups, carried out a special operation in which it assumed control over al-Daghdaghan farm, 60 km north of Lattakia, which is a main position for terrorist organizations linked to the Turkish regime that turned it into a center for storing weapons, ammunition and equipment for use of chemical weapons.

All the gatherings of terrorists in the farm were eliminated, others fled away and explosive devices and mines earlier planted by them were removed, the source noted.

The army units and the popular defense groups advanced and also established control over Rweiset Abu Ghannam, Rweiset al-Sheikh Salman, al-Hara Mount and Beit Fares Mount, in addition to the Posts 292, 296 and 387, according to the source.

Al-Sarraf village and the surrounding Posts 465, 342 and 489 also came under the army’s control, with the terrorists in those areas suffering heavy losses in personnel and equipment.

Later on the day, the army assumed control over Beit Fares village.

These new achievements are added to previous ones made over the past few weeks as the army has intensified operations in Lattakia northern countryside to the effect of cutting off most of the terrorist organizations’ supply lines across the Turkish border and their roads between Jisr al-Shughour in Idleb and Rabiaa in Lattakia.


Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that the army established control on al-Najara village and the nearby strategic hill to the north of Kwairis airport, 55 KM east of Aleppo.

The sources added that the army’s control on the region came after destroying the fortifications and dens of ISIS terrorists, killing large number of them.


In the meantime, at least 43 terrorists from groups affiliated to the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” organization were killed during army operations in Hama and Idleb countryside.

In the northern countryside of Hama, an army unit carried out three special operations against dens of terrorists from “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” in Atshan village, destroying a command center and two vehicles and killing 28 terrorists.

The terrorist Mohammad Abu Faissal, leader of the “Terrorist Movement in Hama Northern Countryside” was identified among the dead.

Meanwhile, field sources said that at least 10 terrorists from the so-called “Jund al-Aqsa” were killed and a center for them was destroyed during a special operation by an army unit in the surroundings of Morek.

In Idleb countryside, the military source said that an army unit hit positions for Jaish al-Fateh terrorists in Ariha city, killing at least 5 terrorists and destroying one of their main centers in the city.

Deir Ezzor

In the eastern province of Deir Ezzour, army units clashed Wednesday night with ISIS terrorists who attempted to infiltrate from the villages of al-Jafra, Hweijet Saker, al-Mrei’yeh farms and al-Dagheem area towards Deir Ezzor military airport, field sources told SANA.

ISIS terrorists were inflicted heavy losses in personnel and equipment during the clashes as many of their vehicles, equipped with heavy and medium machineguns and loaded with arms and ammunition, were destroyed by the army.


A unit of the army eliminated a number of terrorists and destroyed their military equipment in a special operation against their dens in the eastern side of Mashara village to the East of al-Quneitra southern city.

Three civilians killed, several others injured in terrorist attacks in Deir Ezzor and Damascus

Two civilians were killed and three injured in a terrorist mortar attack that targeted al-Joura neighborhood in Deir Ezzor city on Thursday.

A source in the province told SANA reporter that ISIS terrorists, positioned in al-Hweiqa neighborhood, targeted the al-Joura neighborhood with two mortar shells, claiming the lives of two civilians and injuring three others.

The attack also caused material damage to the locals’ properties, the source added.

A civilian killed, six injured in terrorist mortar attacks on Harasta Suburb

Meanwhile, a civilian was killed and six others were injured in terrorist attacks with mortar shells on residential areas in Harasta Suburb.

A source at the interior ministry said in a statement to SANA that terrorists positioned in Eastern Ghouta fired mortar shells on Harasta residential suburb, killing a civilian and injuring six others including two women.

In the same context, terrorists fired mortar and rocket shells on residential neighborhoods in Damascus city.

A woman was injured in the attack, according to a source at Damascus Police Command, who also told SANA that the shelling caused massive material damage.

The source noted that the shells were fired by terrorists from the so called “Jaish al-Islam” and “Ahrar al-Sham
Islamic Movement” who are positioned in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

Terrorist shelling in Damascus on Wednesday left 9 civilians dead ad 36 others injured.

Ministry of Justice: More than 11 thousand people had their legal status settled in 2015

Ministry of Justice announced that over 11,000 persons, including armed and wanted people, had their legal status settled in 2015.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry said the authorities settled the legal status of a total of 11,057 persons from different provinces who had turned themselves in and handed over their guns and vowed not to commit any act that could undermine the security of the state.

According to the statement, a number of local reconciliations were also achieved in various areas last year where many mislead people had their legal status settled.
