Syria in the Last 72 Hours : Russian Campaign, Response to Amnesty International, Ground Advances

Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria increased strike intensity in the interests of offensive carried out by the Syrian army, which is fighting against the ISIS

In the course of the week, aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces increased strike intensity in the interests of offensive carried out by the Syrian army and armed formations of patriotic forces, which are fighting against the ISIS.

In the course of three days, since December 25, the Russian aviation group has performed 164 combat sorties engaging 556 terrorists’ objects located in the Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, Hama, Homs, Damascus, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqah provinces.

Supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, governmental forces continue offensive against illegal armed groups at all directions.

Operations held in the Aleppo, Latakia provinces and suburbs of Damascus were the most successful ones.

In the Aleppo province, safety zone around Kweires airbase has been significantly expanded.

In the course of last several days, two inhabited areas to the north from the airbase have been liberated. The forces have also captured Tell Sherbae tactic height.

In the Latakia province, assault units of the Syrian army carry out offensive operations in northern and eastern directions.

The units took under control left bank of the Kebir River from the Turkish-Syrian borderline to Soraf inhabited area.

Three important heights have been taken under control at directions to Kabanah and Sirmaniyah.

In suburbs of Damascus, governmental forces continue offensive near Eastern Guta.

The forces started active operations at other directions as well.

Supported by the Russian aviation, Syrian Army units under command of Aiman Flyat al-Ganim have been conducting offensive on Raqqah, ISIS capital, during several days.

As a result of the offensive, about 20 inhabited areas have been liberated from extremists.

The strategic object, dam over the Euphrates in al-Akhmar, has been taken under control.

At present, detachments of the Syrian patriotic forces continue stepping up the offensive.

Moreover, the Russian aircraft also performed 17 strikes on the ISIS objects in the interests of “Desert Lions” and “Qalamoun” detachments, which are holding offensive on Palmyra.

Civilians are supporting the governmental forces and patriotic armed forces.

It is to be mentioned that chosen strategy on eliminating income sources of the ISIS and involving patriotic opposition in fighting against terrorists is already paying off.

The Russian Defence Ministry will continue the work aimed to joining efforts of all forces, which are interested in liberating Syria from international terrorists.

Army destroys terrorists’ vehicles in Aleppo, establishes control over areas in Daraa

The army and armed forces achieved more progress on Monday in combating terrorism and its different organizations, destroying their hide outs, positions and dens as well as establishing control over others.


An army unit destroyed two terrorist organizations’ vehicles , one equipped with heavy machine-gun in the village of Tal Msaibeen in the northern countryside of Aleppo province in parallel with targeting terrorists’ supply routes in the towns of Haritan and Anadan.

A military source told SANA that another army unit inflicted heavy losses upon terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment after targeting their hideouts in al-Ameriyeh village in the southeastern countryside of the province.

In Aleppo city, an army unit destroyed Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations’ hotbeds and movements in the neighborhoods of the Old and the New sections of the city.

The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists’ gatherings and their heavy machineguns-equipped vehicles were destroyed in the army continued operations against their positions and movements in the villages of Aisheh, Nejarah, Abu Jebarah al-Kabirah and Ein al-Baida in the northeastern countryside of the province.

The terrorists’ social media websites stressed the killing of Jabhat al-Nusra vocalist nicknamed Abdel-Razaq al-Hamad.

Deir Ezzor

Syrian army air force targeted ISIS hideouts and concentrations in al-Sinaa, al-Jafra and al-Mura’yeh in Deir Ezzor, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their weaponry and vehicles.


Army air force targeted terrorists’ hideouts and fortifications in al-Mishirfeh al-Janoubyeh, Abu Jreis, Wadi al-Zakara, Jub al-Jarah and al-Bayarat in Homs eastern countryside, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

The army also destroyed terrorists’ hideouts in Housh Abu Faraj, Hawarin and Hazim Umm Ayyash in Homs south-eastern countryside.

The army air force also raided terrorists in Mahin and its surroundings, Qasr al-Hallabat and al-Sawana al-Sharqyeh and killed scores of terrorists.

In Homs northern countryside, the army units destroyed Jabhet al-Nusra gatherings, killing a number of them and destroying their machinegun-equipped vehicles.


A military source confirmed that Army and Armed Forces units inflicted heavy losses in personnel and equipment upon terrorist organizations in al-Sheikh Miskeen city in Daraa province.

The source said in a statement to SANA that army units launched on Monday morning a military operation in al-Sheikh Miskeen area, with the army establishing control over several points inside the city and its surroundings.

The source pointed out that the operation is still ongoing in al-Sheikh Miskeen, which is located 22 kilometers to the north of Daraa city, and that it will continue until all pockets of terrorists in it are eliminated.

Most of the terrorists in the city are from Jabhat al-Nusra, “al-Muthanna movement,” and “Ahrar al-Cham Islamic Movement” terror organizations.

300 families leave besieged Al-Foua’a and Kafraya, gunmen leave al-Zabadani

The process of moving some 300 families from the besieged towns on al-Foua’a and Kafraya in Idleb was completed on Monday, under supervision of the UN, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The two towns, located around 10 km north of Idleb city, have been besieged by terrorists for around two years, and have been targeted with hundreds of rocket shells and several attempts to infiltrate them, attempts that were foiled by locals and defense committees.

In parallel with this, the process of moving injured gunmen and their families out of al-Zabadani city in Damascus countryside was also completed under UN, SARC, and ICRC supervision.

Earlier, SANA’s reporter said that a number of buses accompanied by UN, ICRC, and SARC cars entered the city to move gunmen and their families out of the city.

The two processes were carried out as per an agreement reached last September, an agreement that was derailed by terrorists multiple times.

Ten civilians killed in terrorist rocket attacks on Aleppo, Hama

Nine civilians, one of them a child, were killed and 35 others were injured on Monday in terrorist attacks with rocket shells on residential neighborhoods in Aleppo city.

A source in Aleppo Police Command said in a statement to SANA that terrorists holed up in Bani Zaid neighborhood targeted civilians in al-Ashrafieh, al-Sheikh Maqsoud Gharbi, and al-Sabeel with a number of rocket shells, killing nine civilians, one of them a child, and injuring 35 others.

The terrorist attacks also caused material damage to civilians’ houses and properties.

A source at Aleppo Health Directorate said that the injured civilians were taken to al-Razi and al-Jamia’a hospitals for treatment, noting that some of them are severely wounded, expecting that the number of casualties may grow.


Meanwhile, a citizen was killed in a terrorist attack in Tal al-Dura village in Salamya countryside of Hama.

A police source told SANA that terrorists fired three mortar shells on the village, killing the citizen.

19 civilians killed, 43 injured in two terrorist attacks hit al-Zahra’a district, Homs

Two terrorist attacks hit Monday al-Zahra’a neighborhood in Homs claiming the lives of 19 civilians and injuring 43 with severe injuries, Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi told SANA. .

Earlier today, the Governor said that “Six civilians were killed and 37 injured in the two terrorist attacks”.

The governor added that terrorists detonated a Toyota car bomb with 200 kgs of explosives on the road linking Katheeb graveyard to the main square of al-Zahraa neighborhood in Homs city.

The explosion was followed by another attack, when a terrorist suicide detonated an explosive belt among people who gathered around the first explosion, al-Barazi elaborated.

SANA correspondent said the two terrorist attacks caused material damages in civilians properties in the area of the explosions.

Meanwhile, The cabinet condemned the two terrorist attacks, with Prime Minister Wael Halaqi saying, in a statement , the cowardly terrorist attacks are due to the national reconciliation and the Syrian army achievements in combating terrorism.

The Premier offered condolences to the families of the killed civilians and expressed speed recovery for the injured ones.

On December 12th, 16 civilians were killed and 54 were injured in terrorist attacks in the same neighborhood of Homs.


Bondarev: Russian Aerospace Force never attacked civilian facilities in Syria

Russian Aerospace Force - Viktor Bondarev Russian pilots have never attacked civilian facilities in Syria, Chief Commander of the Russian Aerospace Force Col. Gen. Viktor Bondarev said in an interview with Rossiya 24 television channel on Sunday.

Russian TASS news agency quoted Gen. Bondarev as saying “I would like to say proudly that my pilots have not missed even once while they have been there, nor have they delivered strikes on “banned” facilities, the so-called sensitive locations – schools, hospitals, mosques, other sacred places”.

The mission in Syria had been planned thoroughly, he continued. “We have trained the pilots, practiced cooperation with the local Syrian commanders and with our reconnaissance units,” he said, adding that ..”We verified where and who are: in which regions we could be working, where we should be top cautious.”

“This, we have results, which you can see,” the commander said adding from the very first time of the mission the Aerospace Force have informed the public openly on targets and results in Syria.

From beginning of the mission, the Aerospace Force have made 5,240 flights, including 145 made by the long-range aviation.

Human Rights Watch earlier claimed Russia used in Syria cluster munitions, where, the organization said, were victims among civilians.

The Syrian army and air force destroy position for al-Nusra and ISIS in different provinces

The Syrian army, backed by Syrian air force continued its duty in combating terrorism in different provinces, killing and injuring scores of them.

Damascus Countryside

An Army and Armed Forces unit clashed with terrorist groups that tried to attack a military post in Marj al-Sultan in Eastern Ghouta area, Damascus Countryside, a military source told SANA.

The source said the clashes resulted in killing most of the terrorists, while the surviving ones fled towards the depths of Eastern Ghouta. The army seized the arms and ammunition which the fleeing terrorists had left behind.

Idleb and Hama

The Syrian Air Force destroyed a position for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and killed all terrorists who were inside it at Jarjanaz village in the eastern countryside of Maarat al-Nu’aman in Idleb province.

A military source told SANA that the airstrike came after reports of a gathering of al-Nusra terrorists in a position in Jarjanaz village, confirming that a leader in Jabhat al- Nusra, terrorist Mohammad Khaled al-Sheikh aka Abu al-Baraa, and terrorists Mohammad Abbas aka al-Qaqaa, and Mohammad Suleiman were among those killed in the airstrike.

Sources on the ground said that an army unit targeted with concentrated artillery fire the movements of terrorists in al-Habbit in the far southwest of Idleb province, resulting in destroying a car loaded with weapons and munitions and in killing a number of terrorists, including Mohammad Abdelkarim Kukhalalani, a leader in “Ahrar al-Cham Islamic Movement” terror organization.

In Hama province, the Syrian Air Force carried out an airstrike that resulted in destroying two vehicles and a base for terrorists from “Suquour al-Ghab” terror group in Kafr Nabouda 50 km east of Hama city, in addition to killing and injuring many terrorists including a Chechen called Atid Dodi.


Army establishes control over Sharieh in Aleppo’s eastern countryside

The army established full control over Sharieh and its surrounding farms in Aleppo’s eastern countryside after eliminating the last ISIS gatherings and hotbeds in the area.

Field sources told SANA that the army inflicted heavy losses upon the ISIS in the process, killing scores of terrorists and destroying many of their weaponry and vehicles.

The army engineering units seized, while combing the area, mortars, explosive devices and anti-armor mines planted by the ISIS terrorists before fleeing the area.

Army units intensified firing against terrorists’ dens and supply routes in the villages of Tal Jebeen, Tal Meseybeen, Shwehene, Maaret Artiq and Shimaeya in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The army fires destroyed positions and heavy-machine gun equipped vehicles as well as killing and injuring most of terrorists were inside dens.

Terrorists acknowledged on their social media pages killing many of their personnel including Saudi terrorist ‘Abu al-Muthana’ nichnamed “Al-Tawaq”.

In the eastern countryside of the province, army units inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS personnel and equipments in Rasm al-Kama village.

In Aleppo city, an army unit killed and injured terrorists, in a special operation, in the neighborhood of al-Halwaniya.
Earlier on Saturday, army units established control over Harrouf village and Tal Shareeh to the east of Aleppo,some 50 Km from the city after killing and killing and injuring a big numbers of ISIS terrorists.


17 Al-Nusra terrorists killed in Daraa province

Daraa, SANA, The army and armed forces killed, in special operations, during the past 24 hours gatherings of Takfiri Terrorist Organizations which are affiliated to Israeli enemy.

An army unit destroyed a den and a gathering of Takfiri terrorists with all terrorists inside as well as their equipment and weapons at Nazheen Camp in Daraa Balad.

Meanwhile field sources confirmed that Army engineering personnel conducted a special operation against two dens where terrorists were using in targeting military posts at Kafar Shams town in the northern countryside of Daraa.

The mentioned sources affirmed that some 17 terrorists were killed in the operation while others were injured.

For their part, terrorist organizations acknowledged killing a number of their members including Suleiman al-Jaffal, Usama Nassouh, and Ahmed Khaled al-Hamdan from al –Nusra terrorist organizations.

Later, a military source said that army units destroyed terrorists’ sites along with all weapons and ammunition inside them in the area surrounding al-Jmruk al-Qadim in Daraa al-Balad.

The army’s strikes also targeted dens and gatherings of Jabhat al-Nusra in the northeastern part of al-Yadoda town to the west of Daraa al-Balad, destroying a number of terrorists’ dens, vehicles, and weaponry.


An army unit destroyed a group of tankers belonging to ISIS to the northeast of Shath village 34 km southeast of Sweida city, in addition to destroying a vehicle along with the terrorists, weapons, and munitions on board in Rajm al-Dawla village 41 km northeast of Sweida.


Army and Armed Forces units destroyed hideouts and concentrations of ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of Shaer field in the eastern countryside of Homs province, a military source told SANA.

The source added that another army unit killed and injured a number of ISIS members and destroyed one of their vehicles in the surroundings of the “Bayyarat” (citrus groves) of Palmyra.

Other units destroyed vehicles, some of which were equipped with heavy machineguns, and inflicted losses upon a group of ISIS terrorists that had infiltrated in the direction of Oum Kadoum and Hosh Abu Faraj in the surroundings of al-Qaryatain city 80 km southeast of Homs city.

Army units also destroyed hideouts and concentrations of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Alwan farm and south of Teirma’ala 7 km north of Homs city.

The Syrian Army units retreated from couple of their advanced points to regroup with the main forces, then counter attacked the terrorists.

The army units took back all the points they withdrew from after foiling the attack.

Syrian Arab Army

SyAAF intelligence operatives inside enemy controlled territories filed one of many reports to the high command on a possible meeting location that will include 23 terrorists, most of them were first line commanders of the terrorist organizations in Damascus Countryside.

SyAAF command got its orders from the high command of the Syrian Armed Forces to take out the meeting. Based on that;

A formation of SyAAF Su-24m2 attack bombers was loaded with guided munition in Maryter Riyad Qayasea Airbase (aka T-4 airbase).

Before that, SyAAF dispatched number of drones to confirm the location, and for visual identification.

SyAAF operatives once again confirmed the meeting, and the confirmation was relayed to the Su-24m2 formation.

The primary target was an abandoned military warehouse between the town of Misraba, and Bait Nayem.

As soon as the target was in range; one SyAAF Su-24m2 attack bomber released its cargo, making a confirmed hit to the meeting location; simultaneously, other SyAAF Su-24m2 attack bombers attack bomber took out number of other possible locations even-though the target was confirmed in the first location; but at this point, there is no room for error.

SyAAF intelligence operatives confirmed the death of:
• Zahran Alloush, the commander of Jaish al-Isslam terrorist group.
• Billal al-Ka`lea, the Shariah judge of the terrorists.
• Subhi al-Ojwa, the high battlefield commander of Jaish al-Isslam terrorist group, and Zahran Alloush’s cousin
• Isslam Alloush, the spokesman of the terrorist group and Zahran’s brother.
• Billal al-Masry, a field commander of Jaish al-Isslam terrorist organizaion.

Other than the above listed terrorists, 8 other Jaish al-Isslam commanders, 7 Ahrar al-Sham and al-Rahman Brigade terrorist organization commanders were eliminated.

Zahran Alloush is one of the most wanted terrorists, his terrorist organization used to shell Damascus with mortar fire, the city were ~9 million civilians live; and for the record, these groups are considered “moderates” and are directly supplied, and publicly by Saudi Arabia and Turkey, with the blessing of the United States and Europe.

Number of terrorists fleeing towards the Turkish borders has doubled

Military spokesman of the Syrian Arab Army said that the numbers of terrorists who are fleeing towards the Turkish borders had doubled, noting that differences among terrorists’ leaders grew after the success which was achieved by the Syrian army in cooperation with the popular defense groups in war against Takfiri terrorism.

The military spokesman said in a statement that supported by the Syrian and Russian air forces, the army units in cooperation with the popular defense groups successfully fought and faced the terrorist organizations and achieved advance in many directions inflicting heavy loses upon terrorists in Damascus, Daraa, Sweida, Lattakia, Aleppo, Hama and Homs.

Army units in cooperation with the allied forces established control over more than 65 towns and farms and strategic lands in the south western countryside of Aleppo, according to the spokesman who explained that army units continued advancing from different directions after completely establishing control over Khan Touman and al-Qurasi towns and the area surrounding depots and farms, affirming that army units inflicted heavy losses in personnel and munitions in terrorist organizations’ ranks who tried to infiltrate to military posts in Pashkoi, Dweir al-Zeitoun and Handarat in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The military spokesman said that Syria’s army Air force carried out a special air operation against gatherings and headquarters of terrorist organizations in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside killing terrorist Zahran Aloush, the leader of the so-called Jaish al-Islam in addition to a big number of al-Rahman brigade and Ahrara al-Sham leaders.

Army units established control over al-Ishara position and the farms surrounding Marj al-Sultan town in Eastern Ghouta in addition to wide areas of farms which are located between al-Moadmiya and Dariya in Western Ghouta after destroying a net of tunnels and killing a number of terrorists.

Other army units destroyed an armored vehicle in addition to three vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns to the south of al-Manshieh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad and gatherings for terrorists in al-Naziheen Camp, south of Busra square, to the south the electricity company and on al-Sad road in Daraa al-Mahata eliminating a number of terrorists including Reda Mohammad al-Masalmeh, the leader of the so-called Syria’s Revolutionaries’ front.

In Sweida countryside, the military spokesman said that a unit of army thwarted an infiltration attempt by a terrorist group to al-Thoula village and destroyed many vehicles to the east of Boutheina Hill and a vehicle equipped with a heavy machine gun in al-Qasr village, whereas another unit eliminated another terrorist group in Dier Dama in al-Lajat area.

In Homs countryside, army units thwarted an infiltration attempt by a terrorist group from Rahoum towards Maksar al-Hisan, from Unq al-Hawa towards Jub al-Jarah, from Haiyal Mountain towards a military post and on Salmiyeh- Ain al-Nisr road in the eastern countryside of the province, according to the military spokesman.

Army units in cooperation with the popular defense groups continued advancing in the northern countryside of Lattakia and established control over Ateira and al-Kabeer, Rweiset al-Udi, Rweiset al-Harami , Syriatel bridge, Big Black Mountain and a number of hills and strategic heights , noting that a unit of army carried out a special operation in Daghdaghan farm in Rabia area, during which they discovered a large field hospital in which masks, medical equipment and other equipment, mostly Turkish, Saudi, Qatari and American.

The military spokesman pointed out that from December 17th to 26th, the Syrian air force carried out 168 sorties on 590 targets of terrorist organizations in Damascus, Homs, Hama, Idleb and Aleppo.

The air strikes destroyed a convoy of vehicles on al-Teibeh – al-Sukhneh road and three headquarters for ISIS terrorists in Mhein and al-Hadath in Homs countryside in addition to command headquarters for Ahrar al-Sham movement in Atshan and a depot for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in al-Lattamneh in Hama countryside.

A convoy of vehicles for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists was destroyed during sorties in al-Hbeit as well as vehicles which were equipped with machine guns to the north of Khan Sheikhoun in Idleb countryside and three fortified positions, two command and communication centers in al-Hatabat hill and Ain al-Beida, al-Bab, Khan al-Asal and Sharba’a in Aleppo countryside in addition to a command headquarters for terrorist organizations in Autaiya in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside.

The military spokesman concluded the statement assuring that army units have high spirits and are more determined to continue the national tasks in eliminating terrorism and restoring security and stability to Syria.


Syrian army and air force destroy terrorists’ positions in different areas across the country

Units of the army and the armed forces, backed by the Syrian army air force, on Saturday continued to launch wide-scale military operations against dens and positions of the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them in the arms and personnel.

Damascus Countryside

Army units discovered a tunnel for terrorist organizations which was dug for terrorists’ movements and for transferring weapons and ammunition in Douma farms.

A military source said in a statement to SANA that the tunnel which is about 200 meters long and four meters deep extends between Housh al-Farah and Housh Nasri in Douma farms where many terrorists are active, most of them are from the so-called Jaish al-Islam.

The tunnel which is provided with electric cables and means of lighting was used by terrorists near Housh al-Farah, the source explained, adding that engineering units detonated the tunnel and blew it up completely.

Hama and Idleb

The Syrian army air force over the past 24 hours destroyed command positions ofterrorist organizations in the countryside of Hama and Idleb provinces.

A military source confirmed to SANA that a command position of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” and two of the terrorists’ vehicles were destroyed in Atshan in the northern countryside of Hama province.

The source added that the Syrian army air force destroyed dens of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and other Takfiri organizations to the east of al-Latamna town.

The army air force also destroyed a command position and two of the terrorists’ vehicles loaded with arms and ammunition in Ma’ar Kibba village, 40 km to the north of Hama city.

Later, a military source told SANA that an army unit eliminated 20 terrorists and destroyed machinegun-equipped vehicles at Height 1112 south of al-Sermaniye village in Hama’s northwestern countryside.

In Idleb province on the administrative border lines with Hama province, a command position of terrorists from the so-called “Jund al-Aqsa” was destroyed in sorties carried out by the army air force in al-Taman’aa town in the southern countryside.


The Syrian Air Force carried out sorties targeting hideouts of ISIS terrorists in Maheen al-Kabir Mountain 82km southeast of Homs city, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on them, a military source told SANA.

The source said an army unit carried out concentrated operations targeting ISIS bases in the villages of Maheen, Salam Gharbi, and Salam Sharqi, which resulted in destroying several hideouts and concentrations along with weapons and munitions.

Meanwhile, an army unit targeted with concentrated artillery and rocket strikes a convoy of oil tankers for ISIS terrorists north of Palmyra (Tadmur), destroying several tankers and vehicles accompanying them.

The source went on to say that the Syrian Air Force destroyed concentrations and vehicles for terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and other affiliated terrorist groups in a series of airstrikes on their positions in Teirma’ala town 7km north of Homs city.

Later in the evening, the source said that army units destroyed concentrations of al-Nusra terrorists in the town of Talbiseh and in the surroundings of al-Qunaitrat and Ezeddin villages in the northern countryside near the administrative border lines with Hama province.

Deir Ezzor

Units of the army and the armed forces carried out concentrated strikes against positions and dens of the ISIS terrorist organization in Deir Ezzor.

A military source confirmed to SANA that the Syrian army air force carried out intensive airstrikes against positions and fortifications of the ISIS terrorist organization in Howaijet Saker area on the eastern outskirts of Deir Ezzor City.

The source added that the dens and fortifications were destroyed with all the arms, ammunition and vehicles inside them and all the terrorists who were inside them were al so killed.

Meanwhile, a unit of the army destroyed positions of the ISIS terrorists in a special operation carried out in al-Sina’aa neighborhood in Deir Ezzor City.


Army units carried out concentrated strikes on gatherings of terrorists in the villages of Rakhem, al-Mlaiha al-Sharqiya, and al-Karak around 31km east of Daraa city, which resulted in killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying their hideouts, machinegun-equipped vehicles, military equipment, and munitions.

Five civilians were killed Friday night in a terrorists’ shell attack against residential neighborhoods at Al-Zahra’a town in Aleppo northern countryside.

Local sources told SANA Saturday that a number of rocket shells, fired by terrorists, fall at residential neighborhoods of the town claiming lives of five civilians and injuring others.

The sources pointed out that the terrorist attack also caused material damage to civilian houses and properties.

A child killed, 2 others injured in a terrorist mine explosion in Quneitra

Meanwhile, a child was killed Saturday and 2 others were injured in an explosion of a land mind left by terrorist organizations affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra in Tal al-Kaba’a in the countryside of Quneitra.

A source in the city told SANA that the land mine went off near a group of children in Tal al-kaba’a, northeast of Khan Arnabeh, killing a child and injuring 2 others, one of them in a critical condition.

Four civilians killed in terrorist rocket attacks on Qamhaneh and Khneifees villages in Hama countryside

Four civilians including a girl were killed in terrorist attacks with rocket shells on Qamhaneh and Khneifees villages in Hama countryside.

A source in Hama police command said in a statement to SANA reporter that terrorists targeted with three rocket shells Qamhaneh village 8 kilometers to the north of Hama city, one of which targeted a gathering for civilians during a martyr’s funeral in the village, killing a girl and injuring two other civilians.

The other two shells fell on houses and caused material damage to houses and locals’ properties.

Three rocket shells fired by terrorists who were fortified in al-Anz valley fell to the west of Kafar Zeta town on al-Sqeilbiyeh city 48 kilometers to west of Hama causing material damage to properties.

Meanwhile, a source in Salamiyeh police command said that Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists fired rocket shells from Aidoun village to Khneifees village to the west of Salamiyeh city in Hama countryside killing three civilians and injuring 14 others.

A medical source in Salamiyeh national hospital said that the hospital received 14 civilians who were injured in the terrorist attack including two children aging three and eight, noting that some of the injured persons are in a critical condition.

Terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and ISIS are active in a number of villages and towns in Salmiyeh countryside and target locals in neighboring areas with rocket and mortar shells causing many casualties among civilians.

Nine civilians killed in terrorist mortar attacks in Damascus and its countryside

9 civilians were killed and 18 others were injured in mortar attacks carried out by “Islam Army” terrorist organization on al-Wafidin Camp, Harasta Suburb, and al-Abasiyeen area in Damascus and its countryside.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that 5 shells fell in al-Wafidin Camp which is located near the outskirts of Douma in Damascus Countryside, claiming the lives of 9 civilians and inflicting injuries of varying severity on 16 others.

Terrorists also fired two shells at Harasta Suburb which is at the northern outskirts of Damascus, with the shells falling in Block B4 and causing material damage.

Meanwhile in Damascus city itself, one shell fell in the residential area of al-Abasiyeen, injuring two civilians.

86 wanted people turn themselves in to authorities

86 wanted persons from Damascus, Damascus Countryside and Aleppo turned themselves in Saturday to authorities so as they could have their legal status settled.

On December 20th, the authorities settled the legal status of 116 wanted persons from al-Rastan, Jandar, Um al-Qassab and Kazhal in the countryside of Homs and a number of neighborhoods in Homs city.
