Ankara, SANA

Turkish opposition parties lashed out the Turkish Justice and Development Party’s “AKP” government’s policies towards Syria and downing a Russian SU-24 fighter over Syria last Tuesday.

The regime of Turkish Recep Tayyip Erdogan has turned Turkey into a state which exports terrorism to achieve his interests and greed in the region, Leader of Turkish leftist Republican People’s Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu said in a speech on Wednesday.

Kilicdaroglu renewed his accusations against the Turkish government of conveying arms to the terrorist organizations in Syria under claims of conveying humanitarian aid in its trucks a thing was proved by documents.

On May 30th 2015, the center-left Turkish daily newspaper Cumhuriyet posted on its website, a video shows trucks of National Intelligence Organization (MIT) being inspected by security officers.

The trucks were intercepted by the gendarmerie (Police) on two occasions in January 2014 after prosecutors received tip-offs that they were illegally carrying arms to Syria.

The inspectors then spot cardboard boxes inside the metallic container with the fragile marking on them. Cumhuriyet said the trucks were carrying around 1,000 mortar shells, hundreds of grenade launchers and more than 80,000 rounds of ammunition for light and heavy weapons.

Turkish prosecutors have launched an anti- terrorism probe into Cumhuriyet’s story. The daily’s editor-in-chief, Can Dundar, has said the investigation targeting him is because the newspaper publicized information that must have remained confidential.

Earlier on Wednesday, the CHP leader held Erdogan responsible for the latest dangerous development in Syria and the region, noting that Erdogan’s’ hands were stained of the blood of the Syrian people and he should be held accountable.

Turkey will pay the price of the mistakes of its foreign policies which will negatively affect the current and upcoming generations, Kilicdaroglu commented on downing the Russian Su-24 warplane over the Syrian territories by Turkish fighter jets on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Turkey shot down a Russian warplane near the Turkish-Syrian border, Turkey claimed it hit the plane after it violated Turkey’s airspace and ignored 10 warnings.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the downing of the plane would have serious consequences over Russia’s relationship with Turkey. The shooting of the plane, Putin said, “represents a stab in the back by the terrorists’ accomplices. I can’t describe what has happened today in any other way.

Showing pessimistic towards the image portrayed by the foreign policies of the Turkish AKP government, Kilicdaroglu called on the AKP government to desist using of the foreign policy as a tool for internal policy.

He lashed out the sectarian policies adopted in Turkey as the reason of the current plight of the country.

Meanwhile, People’s Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) held Erdogan’s regime responsible for the bloodshed in Syria, escalating tension in the region and supporting terrorism.

However, several terrorist attacks targeted many Turkish areas killing and injuring many civilians. Earlier this year, a bomb attack in the Turkish town of Suruc has killed at least 30 people and injured 100 others during a meeting of young activists. A multiple blast have taken place in the Turkish capital Ankara, killing 102 people and injuring 400.

The Party said in a statement, that the policies of the Imperialistic countries in the region serve the growing of the extremist terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), al-Qaeda and Boko Haram terrorist group.

Commenting on the event of downing the Russian warplane over Syria by Turkish F-16 fighters, the Party said Turkey, led by the AKP government has been turned into “an ass for unveiling mine” driven by the United States as well as a rogue and inducible country.

The statement called on the national and progressive powers in Turkey to work for saving the country from the policies of the AKP as it is a criminal regime.

It reiterated that the AKP government is continuing its dangerous and dirty game through its attempt of marketing itself for the US as being facing what it called Russia’s threat in the one hand and continuing its support and protection of the extremist terrorist groups in the other hand.

For its part, the Turkish Democratic People’s Party (HDP) affirmed that Erdogan’s wrong policy is the essence of the crisis between Turkey and Russia.

Deputy Head of the HDP parliamentary bloc Idris Baluken, spokesman of left-wing HDP party in Turkey demanded for holding a meeting of the Turkish Parliament to discuss the issue of downing the Russian warplane over Syria.

He warned that the Turkish economic capacities, which are being developed through its cooperation with Russia in several fields, mainly in the natural gas and in tourism will be affected negatively of downing the Russian warplane, he affirmed.

The downing of a Russian fighter jet by the Turkish military was planned, according to Baluken.

It is seen that the downing of the Russian jet was decided and planned earlier, and it was just implemented yesterday, said the opposition party’s deputy chairman.

What we saw yesterday is a scene from a planned policy, he added.

Calling for a meeting to the Turkish Parliament to the discuss the event, Baluken pointed out that the loss of the Turkish capital markets and the immediate raise of the US dollar exchange against the Turkish pound following the downing of the Russian warplane endangers the Turkish economy, warning that rising tension with Russia, which coordinates with China and Iran, would damage Turkey.

In Turn, Chairman of the socialist Patriotic Party  (Vatan) Dogu Perincek described shooting down the Russian warplane over Syria by the Turkish fighter jets as provocative hostile action which serves the Israeli-American interests.

Calling on his Country’s government to hold dialogue with the Russian and Syrian governments to overpass the crises and finding solutions to the existed problems, Perincek said What the United States and Israel are looking for is pushing the AKP government for further dangerous adventures in Syria, holding AKP responsible for the latest dangerous developments in relations with Russia and Syria.
