For the last 2 days, Russian Aerospace Forces have performed 141 combat sorties engaging 472 terrorist objects
In the course of the last 2 days, the Russian air group continued additional checking of targets and engagement of separate facilities of terrorist groupings, which are active on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces have performed 141 combat sorties engaging 472 terrorist objects in the Aleppo, Damascus, Idlib, Latakia, Hama, Homs, Raqqah, and Deir ez-Zor provinces.
Russian bombers from the Hmeymim airbase have been performing combat missions on elimination of columns of petrol tank vehicles and oil production plants in the oil-bearing regions in the north and east of Syria. These facilities in the districts of Palmyra, Deir ez-Zor and Raqqah are controlled by terrorists and constitute their main source of income.
Near Raqqah, in the course of the air reconnaissance, two columns of vehicles were detected, which transported oil to processing plants controlled by the ISIS grouping. An airstrike made by Su-34 aircraft destroyed about 80 petrol tank vehicles of terrorists.
15 km to the south-west of Raqqah, a large oil depot terminal was destroyed.
50 km to the south of Raqqah, Su-34 bombers eliminated an oil production plant controlled by terrorists.
In the Al-Makhimira desert, 50 km to the north of Deir ez-Zor, Su-34 bombers made a strike on petrol tanks. The direct hit completely eliminated the object.
It is to be emphasized that in the course of the last five days, the Russian aircraft have destroyed over 1000 petrol tank vehicles, which had carried out transportation of crude oil to the plants controlled by the ISIS terrorists.
According to available information, received from the Information centre in Baghdad, terrorists suffered the heaviest losses in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqah and Aleppo.
Thus, near Aleppo city, as a result of strike of the Russian aviation, the system of control over the illegal armed groups was completely disrupted. Terrorists are disintegrated and leave for the districts, which are still under their control to dig in at new lines.
Illegal armed groups active in the vicinity of settlements Serakab (Idlib province) and Qalaat al-Madiq (Hama province), suffered significant losses from missile and bomb strikes of the Russian aviation.
Most terrorist units in these areas have left their positions without permission despite their leaders’ threats. They discarded their Islamic State (and other terrorist groups’) clothes and insignia to blend in with the local population.
This is yet another case when objective monitoring data shows the results of attacks of the Russian aviation and Navy against terrorist objects.
In the connection with a large-scale operation on simultaneous destruction of terrorists’ infrastructure all over the territory of Syria, the so-called fake “human rights observatories” and other propaganda organizations were expected to issue another batch of stovepiping in the Western media.
However, it is necessary to emphasize the fact that after the tragic events in Paris, over Sinai and in Mali they have become more careful in their statements.
On the other hand, statements by certain alleged military experts (such as the official representative of the US Armed Forces Central Command, who has made a statement saying that “most Russian airstrikes are aimed against moderate Syrian opposition”) remain the same.
These statements are also made without presenting any proofs, with no specific facts, and citing unspecified sources.
The more precise the Russian airstrikes are, the more persistently the Western colleagues are trying to convince the foreign public claiming that not all terrorists are that bad.
Perhaps this is how they see it from across the ocean. But in reality, terrorism is known to have no comparatives and no ethnicity.
Terrorism is an absolute evil, all forms of which must be fought.
The Russian side has objective control data on the results of last week’s air operation.
They demonstrate high effectiveness of the operation and significant damage suffered by terrorists all over Syria.

Russia Starts Ground Operations in Syria
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Russian infantry forces, supported by air force and artillery units, launched their first operations inside the Syrian territory, a Kuwaiti paper reported.
“The Russian infantry forces, supported by tanks and fighter jets, participated for the first time in operations to attack the Takfiri militants in Syria in a region between Lattakia and Idlib provinces” and they could take control of strategic heights without sustaining any casualties, Kuwait’s al-Rai newspaper quoted Syrian dissident commanders as saying.
It added that the conditions for Russia’s ground operations in Syria were prepared by the country’s advanced 130-mm artillery and SU-25M fighter jets.
“This shows that Russia is preparing its forces at a high level to fight against enemies… since Russia has decided to enter Syria powerfully and assumes the Levant territory as a real training field to show its power and develop its weapons and military equipment which have not been used in any real war for years,” the paper claimed quoting the same sources.
They also claimed that the Syrian command has been in charge of logistical support for the first-time war fought by the Russian infantry forces in Syria.
Moscow itself had demanded the Syrian forces and its allies not to participate in the operations so that the Russian infantry forces will be tested in the battlefield in Syria, the sources said, adding that the battle lasted some hours and a strategic hill was purged of terrorists and a number of them were also killed.
On September 30, Russian military aircraft began executing precision strikes against ISIL forces in Syria at the behest of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Since the beginning of the airborne campaign Russian aircraft have carried out over 2,000 sorties, destroying about 3,000 ISIL targets and eliminating hundreds of militants.
The warships of Russian Caspian Flotilla also launched a series of cruise missile strikes against the ISIL assets in Syria.
But Moscow has repeatedly underlined that it will not fight any ground battle in Syria.
