Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov invited foreign military attaches for holding a meeting and made several official statements
The statements are made in regard of groundless accusing the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria of performing strikes against “moderate” opposition and civil facilities.
Informational attacks of a number of foreign media agencies against actions of the Russian AerospaceForces in Syria have been escalated recently. The Russian Defence Ministry is accused of performing strikes not only against “moderate” opposition but also civil facilities such as hospitals, mosques and schools. According to the Western media, the strikes resulted in killing civilians.
Unfortunately, a number of officials and politicians of several foreign countries are making the similar statements. It is sufficient to remember statements of the United States Secretary of State John Kerry, United States Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon, Minister of Defence of France Jean-Yves Le Drian and other officials.
The Russian Defence Ministry is carefully monitoring and analyzing such announcements.
In this regard the Defence Ministry invited military attaches of the United States of America, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and NATO and requested for official justification of the statements or refuting them. It was particularly in regard to flagrant accusations of “hitting” hospitals published by several English-speaking media agencies.
Almost every day the Russian Defence Ministry presents extensive information concerning operations held by the Russian aviation group in Syria to the Russian and international public.
The granted information contains explanations of where, how, when and who the strikes were carried out against.
The Russian defence department has been requesting the international partners for some additional information.
Thorough investigation of destructed hospitals, mosques, schools and killing civilians by the Russian aviation group in Syria will take place in every case of confirming the information. Western media and the military diplomatic corps will be informed about it.
Otherwise, if there is no evidence or official information refuting, the Russian Ministry of Defence would estimate such stovepiping as a part of information warfare against Russia.
The defence department of Russia is looking forward to receive the necessary explanations in a few days.
Current situation in Syria confirms the actuality and timeliness of suggestions made by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin concerning forming of a broad international anti-ISIS coalition.
The Russian Ministry of Defence is still waiting for, as Vladimir Putin repeatedly spoke, interaction in detecting certain targets, which are to be hit in order to eliminate ISIS bases, or, otherwise, locations of objects, which are not to be influenced by the Russian aviation.
