In the course of last week the Russian Aerospace Forces aviation has continued performing strikes against facilities of the ISIS and Jabhat an-Nusra terrorist organizations in the territory of the Syria
In the course of last week the Russian Aerospace Forces aviation has continued performing strikes against facilities of the ISIS and Jabhat an-Nusra terrorist organizations in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic. Armed Forces of Syria continued their offensive operations and liberating towns and villages.
In total, the Russian aviation has carried out 934 combat sorties and destroyed 819 terrorists’ facilities.
Last week the aviation group destroyed 363 targets, including 71 command centres, 10 plants and workshops manufacturing explosives, 30 different POL, materiel and ammunition depots, 252 fortified areas, strong points and field camps of the terrorists.
As a result of the Russian aviation strikes, main terrorists’ forces equipped with best-trained militants lost thier fighting ability; control and supply systems were disrupted; terrorists suffer serious lack of ammunition, weapons and fuel.
So-called “Sheikh Ahmad”, leader of “Al-Walid” terrorist group, was badly wounded during combats against the Syrian Armed Forces in the southern suburbs of Aleppo. The illegal armed group has been completely liquidated.
The massive desertion of terrorists not only to rear regions but also beyond the Syrian borders, including the territory of Turkey and Jordan, is one of the main problems of terrorists.
Field commanders of the “Jabhat an-Nusra” terrorist organization taking urgent efforts to project additional forces to the front line as the ISIS formations are leaving their positions and retreating to the east.
ISIS leadership has to project new forces from Iraq to Syria because of big losses. Field commanders have to carry out total mobilization of 12-year and older men in under-control territories. However, these recruits are dropping weapons and leaving their positions because of being scared.
There is information saying that a number of militants’ leaders in Aleppo province are forming retreat-blocking detachments in order to stop desertion. Several field commanders started establishing communications with units of the Syrian Armed Forces with suggestions of truces and negotiations.
The Syrian Armed Forces, using strike results of the Russian aviation, concentrated their main efforts on offensive operations in the Aleppo, Lattakia, Idlib, Homs and Damascus provinces.
In common combat actions are held round the inhabited areas, where the Russian aviation does not carry out missions and the Syrian Forces use heavy artillery only against uncovered fire positions.
Thus, in the Aleppo province, assault units of the governmental forces drove out ISIS units andtook hold of Jdeideh on October 21. At the present time, the units are developing offensive in the direction of Kwaires airbase. The airbase is expected to be unblocked in a few days. The units are in 7-8 kilometres away from the defended airfield.
To the south-east of Aleppo, the Syrian Forces liberated Sabikia, Khan Tuman, Karasi, Khan al-Assal, Shughaydilah, and now reached Balas, where they are preparing for the assault operation.
Battles continue in the north-west of Aleppo where the governmental troops liberate one street by another in order to surround the militants in the centre of the city.
It is to be mentioned that the rate of offensive cannot be increased because the militants use civilians as a human shield like it was during the liberation of the Khan-Tuman settlement.
In the Lattakia province, assault units of governmental troops and militia conduct reconnaissance and search actions in order to detect weak points in the enemy’s defensive and to suppress its firing positions. Salma and Sirmania settlements are blocked and are about to be mopped up.
In the central part of Syria, the governmental forces captured and are holding the southern outskirts of Teyr Maala, blocked militants in Dar al Kabeer and continue detection and elimination of firing positions of the enemy.
Moreover, the units of the governmental troops have driven the militants out of a large railway junction Mahata, liberated Sneysel and achieved the suburbs of Semali.
Near Damascus, units of the Syrian army conduct operation on elimination of the enemy in the Jaubar and Eastern Ghouta Regions. Despite the tough resistance of the militants, the entrapment is being tightened, one district is liberated after another.
The most obvious result of this operation is that the artillery bombardment of the capital of Syria was stopped for the first time over a quite long period.
Russian unmanned aerial vehicles uncovered a new route of deliveries of armament, ammunition and equipment for the ISIS groupings from Iraq.
The key object of this logistic chain was the bridge over the Euphrates river near Deir ez-Zor. Today the Russian aircraft made a pinpoint strike on that bridge; it resulted in rendering the bridge improper for its further usage by terrorists for their purposes.
It is to be emphasized that the strike was made in the regions, which are, according to the American partners, under the full ISIS control. Moreover, the Syrian units, which had been surrounded for over a year in the area near Deir ez-Zor, used this opportunity and started offensive taking hold of one of militants’ strong point.
In conclusion, it is to be said that as in all wars, children suffer most of all. In the captured areas, the terrorists do not only demolish historical inheritance but also completely destroyed the state health care system.
Now the Syrian army liberates cities and settlements, in which for many months and even years medical assistance was rendered only to militants.
It is obvious that Syria cannot help all its people at once. To that end, Minister of Defence has made a decision on rendering qualified medical assistance to children who suffered from terrorists in the medical institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
After fulfillment of all the formalities, the first batch of children from Syria will arrive for treatment in Russia.
As it has been promised, the comprehensive information concerning the activities of the Russia aviation in Syria is published daily and weekly for prevention of insinuations and baseless accusations of breaching of the international humanitarian law.
Journalists of foreign media received an opportunity to familiarize themselves with everyday work of the Russian air group in Syria
Today, journalists of foreign media have received an opportunity to familiarize themselves with everyday work of the Russian Aerospace Force aviation group at the Hmeymim airbase in Syria. For the first time they could see the living conditions of the Russian servicemen and feel the atmosphere of preparation for combat task performance of in the sky of Syria aimed at destruction of the ISIS infrastructure.
In the course of the last 24 hours, aircraft of the Russian air group have continued making pinpoint strikes against terrorist infrastructural facilities in the Syrian Arab Republic.
For the last 24 hours, the Russian Su-34, Su-24M, Su-25SM aircraft performed 53 combat sorties engaging 72 terrorist facilities in the Hama, Idlib, Lattakia, Damascus, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor provinces.
The effectiveness of engagement of the terrorist infrastructures by the Russian aircraft has considerably increased. Earlier the Russian aircraft worked mainly in pairs, but now due to good knowledge of the combat area the aircraft eliminate two or more targets individually in the course of one sortie.
Commenting on the claims of the Pentagon representative Colonel Steven Warren concerning the assessment of the activities of the Russian aviation in the Syrian Arab Republic, it should be mentioned that the Russian unmanned aerial vehicles detect considerable increase in the number of targets of the ISIS terrorist grouping.
ISIS leaders are projecting manpower reinforcements to combat areas from Raqqah and Iraq territories. They are also taking efforts to direct maneuvering automobile caravans with weapons and ammunition to the contact line with the Syrian Armed Forces.
Therefore, explanations of the Pentagon representatives concerning sharp flight decrease caused by “no target detection” in Syria are more than just strange.
Airy dreams of Colonel Steven Warren concerning using cluster munitions by the Russian aviation in “inhabited areas” of Syria are absurd.
It appears that the American colleagues have not established their aims in the announced war against the ISIS terrorist organization.
This may be why the terrorists feel comfortable a year after the start of the anti-ISIS coalition’s operations.
Russian Warplanes Destroyed 819 ISIL Targets in Syria Since Operation Began
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Russian air group in Syria has carried out 934 sorties for less than a month, the General Staff said Thursday.
Since the beginning of its operation in Syria on September 30, the Russian Aerospace Forces have carried out 934 sorties in Syria, destroying a total of 819 terrorist facilities, the Russian General Staff said Thursday.
Terrorists in Syria have lost striking capabilities amid the Russian airstrikes and are deserting en masse to Turkey and Jordan, Andrey Kartapolov, head of the Russian General Staff Main Operations Directorate said.
“The Syrian Army continues its offensive in the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia, Idlib, Homs, and Damascus,” Kartapolov said.
“Combat opeartions are being conducted around those locations where the Russian aviation is not used, while the Syrian Army uses its heavy artillery against concealed fire units,” he elaborated.
Russian forces have struck a bridge over the Euphrates river in Syria’s Deir Ezzur province, cutting off supplies for ISIL militants from Iraq, Kartapolov said.
“A key part of the supply chain is a bridge across the Euphrates river in the region of Deir Ezzur. Today, Russian pilots carried out a surgical strike on this object, which resulted in the bridge becoming impossible to use for terrorists,” he told reporters.
According to Kartapolov, this supply route from Iraq was located by Russian drones.
“I wish to underline that the strike was carried out in an area, which, according to our American partners, is under the complete control of ISIL units,” he noted.
Some field commanders are beginning to propose local ceasefires and negotiations to the Syrian Army, he added.
Russia started precision airstrikes against ISIL targets in Syria on September 30, following a request from Syria’s internationally recognized government. The Russian airstrikes hit targets that are chosen based on intelligence collected by Russia, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

Syrian Forces Only 4km Away from Kuweires Military Airbase after Massive Raid
TEHRAN (FNA)- Syrian army troops, backed by the Russian air force, further advanced in ISIL-controlled territories towards the strategic Kuweires military airbase in Aleppo province, pushing back the terrorists 2 kilometers in overnight operations, while they were inching closer to the airbase for months.
The Syrian forces on Thursday entered the strategic town of Sheikh Ahamad which is located approximately 4 km away from the Syrian Army’s frontlines outside the Kuweires military airport.
Provincial officials said on Wednesday that the Syrian army and Hezbollah forces, with the Russian aerial backup, had launched a fresh series of joint operations against the militant strongholds to recapture Wadiha al Judaydah and Sheikh Ahamad areas just three kilometers far form Kuweires airbase to end the over two-year-long siege of the airbase.
On Monday, a commander of Syria’s National Defense Forces said the Syrian forces backed by Hezbollah forces have started operations in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo since two years ago in a bid to break the siege of Kuweires military airbase.
Hundreds of Syrian forces have been fully besieged at the Kuweires airport as a result of the occupation of vast areas surrounding the airport by the terrorists in the past two years.
The commander said on Monday that the Syrian-Hezbollah troops were less than 6 kilometers away from the besieged airport.
On Sunday, battlefield sources said that the Syrian armed forces, backed by the Russian warplanes, were pushing back the Takfiri terrorists from areas adjacent to the airbase.
The march towards the strategic airbase started on Saturday. Following a series of battles, sources said on Sunday that “the army had inflicted heavy casualties on the militants in areas near the Kuweires airport, killed tens of the terrorists and wounded dozens more”.

Expert Praises Army’s War Strategy in Northern Syria for Cutting Terrorists’ Connection Routes
TEHRAN (FNA)- The terrorists’ connection routes have been cut off by the Syrian army’s war strategy that has created multiple operational zones in the Northern front, a prominent military expert said.
“The Syrian army’s tactic to divide the Northern parts of the country into numerous operational zones and cut the routes via which the terrorists were supplied with aids cut off the links among the terrorist groups and will soon end up in decisive victories,” Retired Lebanese Army General and Military Expert Ali Maqsoud told FNA on Thursday.
Noting that the Syrian army has regained control over 65km of Western Aleppo in the past few days, he said that the army forces have also changed the equations in Aleppo front by using new tactics in operations in the Southwestern and Eastern parts of the province.
Maqsoud said that the Syrian forces have destroyed the terrorists’ strongholds and missile equipment that they had received from their supporters through this new tactics.
Intelligence sources said on Wednesday that hundreds of militants were fleeing the Northern Aleppo province to safer areas to save their lives after suffering heavy casualties in a joint massive attack of the Syrian Army and Lebanese Hezbollah with the Russian air backup.
The sources said that the militant groups, whose hideouts and supplying lines have come under massive attacks of the Syrian army troops, Hezbollah and the Russian fighter jets, are leaving the Aleppo province to find safer location inside or outside of the country.
On Monday, a commander of Syria’s National Defense Forces elaborated on the objectives of the large-scale army operations in Aleppo, and explained the latest gains made by pro-government forces in the strategically important province, including the latest conditions of the besieged Kuweires military airbase.
The Syrian army backed by the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance and Iraq’s resistance forces launched massive military operations in Aleppo province, specially in its Southwest, concurrent with the army’s new operations in Hama and Lattakia provinces.
“The goal of these operations is to purge these regions of terrorists and continue advances towards the Lattakia province; if these operations succeed, the route connecting the terrorist groups in Aleppo to Lattakia and Idlib provinces will be cut off and supply of aids to them through the Turkish border will grow fully impossible,” the Syrian field commander, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for security reasons, told FNA.
Also according to the commander, if the mop-up operations in Southwest Aleppo, Northern Hama and Idlib ends with success, security will be established on the main route linking Central Syria, or the Damascus province, to the Northern parts of the country, or Aleppo, and accordingly dispatch of equipment and troops will be expedited, while terrorists in Eastern and Western Syria will be fully disconnected.
