In the course of the last 24 hours, the Russian aviation group in the Syrian Arab Republic has continued performing strikes against facilities of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra
In the course of the last 24 hours, the Russian aviation group in the Syrian Arab Republic has continued performing strikes against facilities of ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra.
The Russian pilots carried out 55 combat sorties from the Hmeymim airbase engaging 60 targets in the Hama, Idlib, Lattakia, Damascus, Aleppo and Deir ez-Zor provinces.
Near Ziara (Idlib province), air reconnaissance means uncovered a terrorists’ hardware concentration area. After additional reconnaissance check conducted with the use of UAVs, the Command of the Russian aviation group made a decision to destroy the target.
Three infantry fighting vehicles and six SUVs equipped with large-caliber machine guns were eliminated by the strike.
Near Qastun (Idlib province), a large base of illegal armed groups with a command centre and a camouflaged ammunition depot was destroyed. The strike of a Su-24M with a high-explosive bomb caused detonation of munitions, which completely destroyed the object.
Near Hatla (Deir ez-Zor province), the Russian aviation destroyed a mini-plant manufacturing explosive devices and unguided rockets. A pinpoint strike of a Su-34 bomber eliminated the plant.
Also in Deir ez-Zor province, terrorists’ command and communication centres, which had been used to coordinate five armed groups in the region, were destroyed. The target was located in buildings of post office, which had been captured by the terrorists. The object was eliminated with a guided bomb dropped from a Su-34 bomber.

Presence of different aircraft in the air space of Syria has increased recently
Recently, the presence of different aircraft in the air space of Syria has increased. These are civil airliners, military transport aircraft, combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles of different size including strike ones.
It is to be particularly mentioned that the Russian air group coordinates every flight with the Syrian service for air traffic control. All the other manned and unmanned aircraft with the exception of the civil airliners are present in the Syrian air space without any accordance and with their transponders switched-off.
It is not infrequent that there are over 30 aircraft in one area at the same time. Undoubtedly, all that creates risks for aviation in the skies over Syria.
The Russian Ministry of Defence has repeatedly expressed its readiness to cooperate in the field of flight safety with all the states interested in the early elimination of the international terrorism in Syria.
It is to be reminded that the Military departments of Russia and Turkey have organized a direct hot line for prevention of unintentional air incidents in the sky of Syria. Moreover, such format of cooperation is active between the Command centre of the Israeli Air Force and the Flight control centre of the Russian Air Force in Syria.
Just this morning, the Russian Ministry of Defence has received the adopted memorandum from the American colleagues concerning the prevention of air incidents in the Syrian Arab Republic.
It is expected that the document will cover the activities of aviation of all the countries of the anti-ISIS coalition. The American party committed to notifying the adopted rules to their partners, which conduct activities in the territory of Syria.
The Russian Ministry of Defence considers the signing of such document an important step of great practical importance.
That is why the Russian Ministry of Defence considers it necessary to continue the joint work on resolve other important questions.
That includes first of all organization of operational cooperation in rescuing any pilots from any country in case of emergency in the sky of Syria. It will not be the matter of hours, but the one of minutes and seconds. Lives of people will depend on coordinated actions within such operations.
Unfortunately, the severity of the question is not understood by the American colleagues.

The Saudi foreign minister Adel al-Jubeir in a statement considered Iran to be an occupying force in Syria.
A little history lesson for the House of Saud, and their foreign minister:
Our brothers in Iran have been on Syrian soil since the 80s, they were never an occupying force, and never they will be.
This picture of Syrian Arab Army officers and their brothers in arms from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps upon Iranian officers completion of Scud missile training course in Syria.
However, lets not go back to the 80s, lets go to 2012, when the Gulf petrodollar states asked the Zionist entity to re-initiate the Arab peace initiative and agreed that the Zionist entity can skip the part where it says they should retreat from the occupied Golan Heights of Syria.
Let every son of Saud know that the honor Syrian and Iran have is something their money cannot buy, and is something they will never have.

US Army Europe Commander Astonished by Russian Anti-ISIL Syria Campaign
TEHRAN (FNA)- The commanding general of the US Army in Europe, Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, said Moscow had greater potential than he had imagined.
The commanding general of the US Army in Europe said he was astonished by Russia’s capacity to deploy its troops to Syria and start an anti-terror campaign in the country, Sputnik reported.
“I was one of those people surprised about their move in Syria. I’ve been watching them in Syria for some time now, but I thought they were so stressed with what they were doing that I didn’t realize they had a capacity also to pick up and move into Syria,” Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges said in an interview with the Defense News weekly.
He made no forecasts on the duration of Russia’s airstrikes on the ISIL militants’ targets in the Arab state. It is related to possible combat losses, which is “inevitable,” according to him.
At the same time, he admitted that Moscow, perhaps, had greater potential than he had imagined.
Russia’s Sukhoi Su-25, Su-24M and Su-34 attack aircraft, with the support of Su-30 jets, launched precision airstrikes against ISIL targets in Syria on September 30, following a request from Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the time frame for Russia’s campaign in Syria will be limited to the Syrian army’s offensive.
Syrian Army, Hezbollah Tightening Noose on Kuweires Airport
The Syrian army backed by the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance and Iraq’s resistance forces launched massive military operations in Aleppo province, specially in its Southwest, concurrent with the army’s new operations in Hama and Lattakia provinces.
“The goal of these operations is to purge these regions of terrorists and continue advances towards the Lattakia province; if these operations succeed, the route connecting the terrorist groups in Aleppo to Lattakia and Idlib provinces will be cut off and supply of aids to them through the Turkish border will grow fully impossible,” the Syrian field commander, who spoke on the condition of anonymity for security reasons, told FNA on Monday.
Also according to the commander, if the mop-up operations in Southwest Aleppo, Northern Hama and Idlib ends with success, security will be established on the main route linking Central Syria, or the Damascus province, to the Northern parts of the country, or Aleppo, and accordingly dispatch of equipment and troops will be expedited, while terrorists in Eastern and Western Syria will be fully disconnected.
Kuweires Military Airport
Another goal of the operation is Kuweires airbase. The Syrian forces backed by Hezbollah forces have started operations in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo since two years ago in a bid to break the siege of Kuweires military airbase.
Hundreds of Syrian forces have been fully besieged at the Kuweires airport as a result of the occupation of vast areas surrounding the airport by the terrorists in the past two years.
The Syrian army troops advanced towards Kuweires airbase, and are now only less than 6 kilometers away from the besieged airport as mentioned above.
On Sunday, battlefield sources said that the Syrian armed forces, backed by the Russian warplanes, were pushing back the Takfiri terrorists from areas adjacent to the Kuweires military airport.
The march towards the strategic airbase started on Saturday. Following a series of battles, sources said yesterday that “the army had inflicted heavy casualties on the militants in areas near the Kuweires airport, killed tens of the terrorists and wounded dozens more”.
The Russian warplanes launched heavy airstrikes on ISIL positions in Al-Jaboul village to open the path for the Syrian ground forces to win back the village.
The Syrian troops killed dozens of the militants and took full control of the village which is close to the Kuweires military airbase.
The ISIL Takfiri terrorists have besieged the Kuweires airport for over 2.5 years now, but the airport itself is under the Syrian army’s control.
The Syrian army’s helicopters supply foodstuff and other needs to the Syrian troops defending the airport.
As seen in the above map, the Syrian army and Hezbollah should go through regions that are under ISIL occupation from both sides before they can shake hands with their comrades and friends in Kuweires military airbase; and this has resulted in their inch-by-inch advance towards the rendezvous point.
