6 civilians killed, scores injured in terrorist shelling attacks on Kefraya and al-Fouaa and Damascus

Terrorist organizations fired dozens of mortars and rockets on the towns of Kefraya and al-Fouaa in the countryside of the northern Idleb province, leaving civilian casualties, local sources told SANA by phone on Monday.
The sources said six civilians were killed and at least 20 others were injured in the shelling attacks, noting that a child was among the dead.
The shells caused massive damage to the citizens’ houses and properties and the infrastructure in the sites where they fell.
9 civilians wounded in terrorist rocket attacks on Damascus city
8 civilians were injured in rocket shells fired by terrorists on a number of neighborhoods in Damascus.
Earlier, a girl was wounded in a terrorist rocket attack on al-Muhajirin area in Damascus city.
A Damascus Police Command source told SANA a rocket shell fired by terrorists smashed into a house in al-Muhajirin area, leaving a girl injured and causing material damage to the house and a number of cars parked in the site.
The new attack came hours after terrorist mortar attacks hit residential neighborhoods in Damascus city that killed four civilians and injured 28 others.

4 civilians were killed and another 28 injured in terrorist attacks with mortar shells on residential neighborhoods in Damascus on Sunday.
A source in the police command told SANA reporter that terrorists fired a number of shells on different areas in Damascus on Sunday afternoon, killing three and injuring another six.
The source said earlier that terrorists fortified in Eastern Ghouta targeted on Sunday morning residential neighborhoods in Damascus city with mortar shells, killing a baby girl and injuring another 22, also causing material damage to the locals’ public and private properties.
Two civilians injured in terrorist attack on Damascus Countryside
The armed terrorist groups also targeted Harasta area in Damascus Countryside, two civilians were injured.
A source at the governorate Police Command told SANA reporter that the terrorist fired two mortars on the area, causing the injury of a man and a woman and material damage to five cars that were parked in the targeted areas.

Army strikes hard against terrorists in Idleb, targets their supply routes in southern region

The army units continued to raid the terrorist organizations’ hideouts and positions in many areas across the country, killing and injuring scores of their members.
Zabadani, Damascus Countryside
The army and the Lebanese resistance continued operations in Zabadani city in Damascus Countryside and blockaded the armed terrorist groups in a 1 square kilometers area.
Field sources told SANA reporter that the army killed and injured a number of terrorists in the process, adding that 8 terrorists, including two groups’ leaders, surrendered to authorities.
The army’s air force targeted movements of terrorists in the villages of al-Baraghiti, Hmeimat, Khsheir and Tal al-Louz in the vicinity of Abu al-Duhour airport in the southeastern countryside of the northern Idleb province.
A military source told SANA that many terrorists were killed in the airstrikes, adding that the army’s air force also inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” in Maaret al-Nouman, Maaret Hirmeh, Kfr Nubbul, Hass, al-Tamanaa, al-Fteira, al-Kfeir and Ain Larouz in the southern countryside of the province.
Terrorists’ mortar launchers and artillery, used in attacking Kafraya and al-Fouaa towns, were destroyed in al-Sawaghiyeh village.
Meanwhile, field sources told SANA reporter that the army destroyed a training camp for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Ennib village, leaving dozens of terrorists in the site dead or wounded.
Four vehicles for “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists were destroyed south of Maarata town while they were on their way towards al-Ghab plain.
More “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists were later reporter killed as the army air force targeted their dens in the surroundings of Abu al-Duhour airport and in Ennib, Tal Hamka and Farikeh in the countryside.
The terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of the terrorist Maher al-Tamer and some of his group’s members, while 13 Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were reported killed in an explosion that targeted the so-called “Judiciary House” of the organization in Salqin in the countryside of Idleb province.
In the neighboring Hama province, army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts in al-Hawash, al-Daqmaq, al-Zaqoum, al-Ziyara, Freekeh, and al-Sayyad in al-Ghab plain in the northwestern countryside or the province, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying a number of their vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns, along with military equipment.
The army’s Air Force carried out a series of airstrikes targeting hideouts and concentrations of ISIS terrorists in Tadmur (Palmyra) city, al-Bayyarat, and the surroundings of Jazal oil field in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
A military source told SANA that the airstrikes resulted in destroying a number of vehicles used by ISIS terrorists.
The Air Force also eliminated a number of terrorists from ISIS and destroyed their military equipment in an airstrike targeting their concentrations in al-Qaryatain city, which is located at the outskirts of al-Badiye desert around 80km east of Homs city.
An army unit destroyed terrorists’ armored vehicles and a vehicle equipped with heavy machinegun in al-Zakara valley and in al-Maqale’.
The army also thwarted terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate a military post near al-Hadath in Homs eastern countryside.
Army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in al-Rastan, Talbeseh and Ayn Hussein, killing and injuring a number of terrorists and destroying their weaponry and munitions.
The army units clashed with members of two terrorist groups affiliated to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) which infiltrated from Khirbet Saad towards Tal Bouthina and from the village of al-Saqiyeh towards al-Harfoush farm, in the northeastern countryside of the southern province of Sweida.
A military source told SANA Sunday that a number of ISIS terrorists were killed and injured; their weapons and equipment destroyed, while the rest of its members fled leaving their weapons and ammunition behind.
An army unit carried out precise blows against ISIS hideouts and gatherings in al- Saqiyeh village, which resulted in demolishing of a number of terrorists’ vehicles, some equipped with machineguns, and the killing of a number of ISIS members, according to the source.
In neighboring province of Quneitra, an army unit destroyed a hideout of terrorist groups’ leaders within Jabhat al
-Nusra in Um al-Izam village in Khan Arnaba area in the southern Quneitra province.
Another army unit targeted positions of terrorists in Jbata al-Khashab village, which is one of the terrorist organizations’ supply routes from the Israeli enemy, leaving many dead or wounded.
Other terrorists’ supply routes and hideouts were targeted in al-Hamidiyeh village.
An army unit targeted hideouts of terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra in the town of Rabe’a in Lattakia’s northern countryside, killing at least six terrorists including one from Turkey and another from Chechnya and destroying their weapons and munitions.
Army kills more terrorists as it targets their positions and supply routes in various areas

Units of the army and the armed forces on Monday continued targeting terrorist organizations across the country through launching wide-scale military operations against their dens and supply routes, killing scores of their members and destroying their arms and ammunition.
Al-Zabadani, Damascus Countryside
A military source told SANA that army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese Resistance, established control over al-Jisr neighborhood in al-Zabadani city in Damascus Countryside after eliminating terrorists’ hotbeds in it.
The source said in a statement to SANA that army units in cooperation with the Lebanese Resistance established control over al-Jesr neighborhood, the main street in the western neighborhood and al-Shareef al-Idreesi school in al-Zabadani town after accurate operations against terrorist organizations.
Meanwhile, the army killed more than 14 terrorists of the so-called “Islam army” and “Fajr al-Umah”, one of them of Saudi nationality, in operations carried out against their gatherings in al-Ghouta to the east of Damascus.
Field sources said an army unit destroyed dens of terrorists in Harasta, killing several of them, including Ziad al-Roz, Imad Darwish, Nader Taha and Mohammad al-Dalaty.
In this regard, the terrorist organizations admitted, on websites, to the killing of what they nicknamed “the military leader of Islamic Union for Anjad al-Sham in al-Ghouta al-Sharkiya” Kasem Halaweh, Abu Walid in Harasta.
The sources added that three cars were destroyed, Saudi terrorist Sultan al-Rajihi was killed in addition to the killing of terrorists Samir al-Tahan, Mohammad Issa and Muneir al-Khin in Zibdeen to the south of al-ghouta.
Army units targeted hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in al-Karak al-Sharqi in the northeastern countryside of the southern Daraa province, a military source said on Monday.
A number of the terrorists’ vehicles were destroyed and others were damaged, the source told SANA, noting that some of those were equipped with heavy machineguns in the operations, which also left many terrorists dead or injured.
More terrorists were killed and one of their vehicles was damaged as a result of a special operation carried out by an army unit against their dens and positions to the north of Atman town in the northern countryside of the province.
In Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city of Daraa, an army unit destroyed terrorists’ positions in al-Bajabja quarter.
A bulldozer belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists was also destroyed to the south of the old Customs building in Daraa al-Balad.
In the neighboring Sweida province, an army unit targeted gatherings of terrorists and their supply routes from the Jordanian side in the area to the east of Shaaf town on the outskirts of al-Badiya desert in the southern Sweida province.
A number of vehicles, some equipped with machineguns, were destroyed and others were damaged, while a number of terrorists were killed in the army’s operations.
Popular defense groups clashed with ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of Mua’ath hill and Shaqa town in the northwestern countryside of the province following the terrorists’ infilitration attempt from Tal Sa’ad towards Mua’ath hill and Shaqa town.
A military source said the clashes left a number of terrorists dead and others were injured, while the rest fled, leaving behind a Toyota HiLux pickup truck.
Army units targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations near the air force academy in Aleppo’s eastern countryside, killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying their weaponry and munitions.
The army also targeted terrorists near the Scientific Research Facility and in Handarat, Kifr Hamra and Bushkatin.
In Aleppo city, the army killed and injured large numbers of terrorists in al-Rashidin, Bani Zaid, the old city and al-Sheikh Maksoud.
The Army’s Air Force killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns, in Muhambal, Kafr Nubbul, Saraqeb, Ta’um, al-Tura’a, and Oram al-Joz in the southern countryside of Idleb province.
A military source told SANA that the Air Force also carried out airstrikes on concentrations of terrorists, most of them from “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorist organization, in the areas of Kafr Ouaid, Basames, Hmaimat, and al- Zayadiyeh in the southwestern countryside of the province, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on them.
In the same context, the popular defense groups destroyed a vehicle belonging to terrorists from “Jaish al-Fateh” in al-Sawaghiyeh village on the border with al-Fouaa town, according to local sources.
The sources told SANA that the army, using air strikes, and the popular defense groups targeted terrorists who tried to infiltrate towards al-Fouaa town, killing a number of them, while the rest fled away.
An army unit targeted dens of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the farms of al-Slaybeh to the west of al-Qaryatain in the eastern countryside of the central Homs province.
Two vehicles were destroyed and a number of the terrorists were killed in the operations.
Another army unit inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists as it targeted their dens and gatherings in Rahoum village in eastern Homs.
In the northern countryside of the province, many terrorists were killed as the army targeted their positions in Kisin village in al-Rastan area.
The army killed many terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra, “Homs Legion” and “Al-Farouk Battalions” to the northwest of Um Sharshoh village in Talbisa area.
More terrorists operating under Jabhat al-Nusra were killed and others were injured in special operations against their hideouts and gatherings in Taldo and in the vicinity of Jisr al-Tiba in al-Houla area.
Army units clashed with terrorist groups following an attempt to infiltrate military checkpoints in Jabal al-Ghadr and al-Furuluq rest stop in Lattakia province, killing more than 25 terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammo, while other terrorists fled.
The army’s Air Force carried out a number of airstrikes against terrorists’ gatherings in Kansaba, Salma, al-Maroniat and al-Qassatl villages, killing dozens of terrorist, including 9 from Chechnya, injuring many others, and destroying their weapons.
Media sources in the northern countryside of Lattakia confirmed that 25 Chechnyan terrorists who were located in al-Yakobia village fled after suffering heavy losses during the past few days as a result of the army’s continuous operations in the area.
Syrian Army, Hezbollah Marching on Rebel Positions inside Madaya Town
TEHRAN (FNA)- Military sources said that the Syrian Army and the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement have seized full control over various neighborhoods and districts of Madaya town, in the Southern direction of Zabadani.
The sources said that two days after liberating operation of Madaya, the Syrian army and Hezbollah fighters started their mop-up operation inside the town.
The sources added that the Syrian army’s 63rd Brigade, Hezbollah, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), and the National Defense Forces (NDF) stormed the positions of al-Nusra Front and Ahrar al-Sham in Southwest Madaya, and retook control over vast areas near Al-Kazbari Mosque.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance retake full control over the Al-Kazbari Mosque’s surrounding building blocks, while the Syrian warplanes unleashed a fury of powerful airstrikes inside the rebel-controlled areas of Madaya.
The Syrian army and Hezbollah are advancing in the Northern, Western and Southern directions of Madaya town.
However, the Syrian Air Force did not stop there: on Sunday, the latter conducted over 80 airstrikes in Madaya and Al-Zabadani, destroying a number of Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham’s military sites and killing a multitude of militants there.
Eight members of Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham turned themselves-in to the Syrian security forces on Sunday after the short-lived ceasefire allowed for the opposing parties in Zabadani to correspond with one another, despite the two-month-long siege that pinned them both against one another in a fierce battle for control of the city.
Currently, the Syrian army and Hezbollah control 85 percent of Zabadani and nearly 25 percent of Madaya; if captured, the resistance forces would eradicate one of the biggest threats on the border of Lebanon.
Army Destroys Al Nusra Front’s Hideouts in Lattakia Province
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army destroyed the hideouts and the strongholds of the Takfiri terrorists in the Lattakia province, killing tens of militants.
A large number of Al Nusra Front terrorists were killed in army’s raid in the town of Rabe’a in the Northern countryside of Lattakia.
Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more injured in the Syrian army raid on their positions in Lattakia.
Also in the past 24 hours, a prominent Arab political analyst underlined that the battle over the Strategic town of Zabadani is very important for all warring sides.
“Winning back Zabadani can play a crucial role in resolving the Syrian crisis,” Nasser Qandil told FNA.
He noted that the developments underway in Zabadani are paving the way for the Syrian army’s control over all the Zabadani region.
“Zabadani is of highly strategic importance because it links the areas controlled by the militants in the city and countryside of Damascus,” Qandil said.
Meantime, the violation of the ceasefire in the countryside of Damascus and Idlib province has been orchestrated by the Turkish government, media reports said.
Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group has received orders from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to violate the ceasefire between the government and the militants in the town of Zabadani in Damascus countryside and two Shiite villages of Fuaa and Kafraya in Idlib province, the Arabic-language Al-Watan newspaper reported.
“One of the reasons that the ceasefire was violated was because Ahrar al-Sham called for complete withdrawal of the Syrian troops from the villages of Kafraya and Fuaa in Idlib,” Al-Watan quoted Secretary General of the Syrian Solidarity Party Mohammad Abolqassem as saying.
Elsewhere, military sources in the Southern battlefields said that the Syrian Army’s operations against the strongholds of the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front in Dara’a province resulted in the killing of over 10 militants.
The sources said that the Syrian army killed 10 terrorists of al-Nusra Front and destroyed their weapons and ammunition depot in Bosra al-Sham town in the Eastern parts of Dara’a province.
Military sources in Aleppo said that the Syrian Armed Forces defended the Kuweires airbase against the ISIL Takfiri terrorists’ fresh massive offensive and killed more than 40 of them in their joint counter-assault operation.
The sources said that the ISIL terrorist group launched another powerful assault at the Kuweires Military Airport’s Southern perimeter from their positions at the town of Tal Al-Ahmar; however, unlike their previous attacks, this one was not led by a suicide bomber.
In the meantime, another contingent from the terrorist group began their own assault at the Eastern gates of this besieged base.
The firefights were very intense between the Syrian Armed Forces and the ISIL, but the prevalence of airstrikes from the Syrian Air Force helped deter the terrorist group’s advance, giving the ground forces protecting the base an added boost.
According to a military source in Aleppo, over 40 ISIL combatants were killed and 7 armored vehicles were reportedly destroyed during the failed infiltration attempt at the Kuweires airbase.
