Three citizens injured in new terrorist mortar attack on Damascus Countryside

Three citizens were injured on Tuesday in a terrorist mortar attack on the Police hospital in Harasta in Damascus Countryside.

A police source told SANA reporter that terrorist organizations targeted the hospital with three mortar shells, injuring three citizens and causing a material damage to the hospital building.

Army foils infiltration attempt in Hama, kills scores of terrorists in others areas

Units of the army and the armed forces on Tuesday continued to tighten the noose around the Takfiri terrorists across the country through launching wide-scale military operations against their dens and positions, killing scores of them and destroying their arms and ammunition.

Hama

Units of the army and armed forces on Tuesday carried out special operations against dens and positions of terrorists from the so-called “Jaish al-Fatih” in the village of al-Bahsa and in the surroundings of al-Masheik in the northwestern countryside of the central Hama province.

A military source told SANA that a unit of the army clashed with a terrorist group which infiltrated into the surroundings of al-Masheik village.

The source added that most of the terrorist group’s members were killed in the clashes and their vehicles were destroyed.

Meanwhile, all members of a terrorist group were either killed or injured most of them are from Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham “in operations carried out by the army last night and Tuesday morning against their dens in al-Bahsa village in the northwestern countryside.

Idleb

The army air force continued to carry out operations against dens and vehicles of the so-called “Jaish al-Fatih” in the countryside of the northern Idleb province.

The army air force staged a number of strikes against dens and positions of Jabhat al-Nusra and other Takfiri organizations in the village of al-Kafir and city of Jisr al-Shughour , killing scores of terrorists and injuring others, in addition to destroying their machinegun-equipped vehicles.

The air force also staged airstrikes against dens and positions of the terrorist organizations in the villages of al-Tir’aa, Qari’a al-Ghazal and al-Shwaiha and in Abu al-Dohour town in the southeastern countryside of the province.

A number of terrorists were killed in the strikes and others were injured and their vehicles and arms were destroyed.

Meanwhile, heavy losses were inflicted upon Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in the arms and personnel in strikes carried out by the army air force against their dens in the villages of al-Fatira and Hass in the southern countryside of the province.

Aleppo

An army unit targeted hideouts and positions of terrorists linked to Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Al-Sham Front” and “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” in the neighborhoods of Bani Zaid, al-Lairamoun, al-Rashidin and near the Scientific Research Center in the northwestern and western part of Aleppo city.

Another army unit targeted gatherings of terrorists in al-Mansourah, 10 km to the west of Aleppo city, killing a number of them.

Terrorists’ movements were targeted in al-Sheikh Lutfi village and eastern al-Sfeireh city in southeastern Aleppo. A number of the terrorists’ vehicles which were equipped with machine guns were destroyed.

The army units continued operations against positions of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy in eastern Aleppo, leaving a number of them dead.

An army unit thwarted terrorists’ infiltration attempt into al-Gameyat area, to the west of Bashkoi and Dweir al-Zaitoun area in Aleppo, leaving a number of terrorists killed or injured and chased the remnant terrorists in the region.

Quneitra

An army unit carried out an operation against terrorists’ dens in Rasm al-Rawadi village in the southern Quneitra province.

The operation left a number of terrorists, mostly from Jabhat al-Nusra, dead.

Many vehicles equipped with machine guns were destroyed.

Damascus Countryside

In the meantime, 30 terrorists were killed or injured as they were targeted by an army unit in Beit Jin Farm in Damascus Countryside.

Syrian Army, Hezbollah, Recapture 15 Buildings in Al-Zabadani, Kill over 32 Militants

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army and the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement, in heavy clashes with the rebels, retook control over various neighborhoods and districts in al-Zabadani, and killed over 32 fighters, informed sources said.

The sources said that the Syrian army’s 63rd Brigade, Hezbollah fighters, the National Defense Forces (NDF), and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) stormed on the strongholds of Ahrar al-Sham and al-Nusra Front at the Ajjan Neighborhood, killing 19 rebels and then they recaptured 15 buildings en route to the al-Zabadani Power Station.

In addition to their success near the al-Sultani district, the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance continued their advance inside the Mahata district, killing 13 militants from Ahrar al-Sham and the Liwaa Suqour al-Zabadani, while capturing a number of building blocks near the ‘Umar al-Farouq Mosque.

According to battlefield reports from inside al-Zabadani, 22 enemy combatants from Ahrar al-Sham surrendered themselves to the Syrian army men after a brief battle to the East of the Al-Zahra Mosque.

Meantime, the Syrian air force had over 30 airstrikes on Monday, targeting a number of Ahrar al-Sham center near al-Zabadani’s city-center.

Fighting is still ongoing between the two opposing sides in al-Zabadani, as the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah now control almost 90 percent of this resort-city.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army recaptured the fourth hilltop at Jubb al-Ahmar after destroying al-Nusra Front’s hideout on top of the Prophet Younis Mountains of Northeastern Lattakia, killing at least 20 militants, military sources said.

The sources said that the Syrian army, the National Defense Forces (NDF), and Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) recaptured the hilltop at Tal SyriaTel, where they killed as many as 20 militants from al-Nusra Front, the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) “Coastal Brigades” and Ahrar al-Sham.

In addition to their assault on Jubb al-Ahmar, the Syrian Armed Forces are attempting to recapture the contested town of Al-Bahsa, which is currently 60 percent under their control.

Over 175 ISIL Terrorists Killed by Syrian Army in Kuweires Airbase in August

TEHRAN (FNA)- Military sources said that despite repeated attempts to break-through the Syrian Army’ frontline at the Kuweires Airbase near the Northern city of Aleppo, the ISIL has failed in its offensives and sustained heavy losses, including 175 killed members in August.

The sources said that the ISIL has relentlessly targeted the isolated Kuweires airbase for the last two years; however, as of recently, the terrorist group has launched some of their fiercest attacks on the Syrian army’s positions, which has left at least 175 ISIL militants killed and scores more wounded.

On Sunday, military sources said that the Syrian Army defended its positions against the ISIL Takfiri terrorists’ offensive in the nearby areas of Kuweires Airbase in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo, and killed at least 20 militants in its counterassault.

The ISIL assault began when a large contingent of armed combatants stormed the Southern perimeter of the Kuweires Airbase from their positions at Tal al-Ahmar, attempting to break-through the army’s frontline near the small village of Karkeez to the South of the airport.

Following their initial assault on the Southern perimeter, another wave of ISIL combatants carried out an attack on the Kuweires Airbase, but this time from their positions at the village of Rassim Al-‘Abboud, where they attempted to infiltrate into the Syrian army’s frontlines at the Eastern guard post.

According to a military source in the Aleppo Governorate, the ISIL withdrew their assault after sustaining over 20 casualties, marking the second time in the last two days that they failed to bypass the Syrian forces’ defense lines at the Kuweires Airbase.
