Moscow, (SANA) The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed discontent over the results of the meeting of the so-called “Friends of Syria” group, which was held in London on Thursday.

In a statement made Friday, the Ministry said that the attendants of the aforementioned meeting overlooked the acts of well-armed groups that include large numbers of international terrorists and Jihadists, among these groups were “The Islam State in Iraq and Syria”, “Jabhet al-Nusra” and the “Islamic front”.

In a related context, the Ministry said that Moscow disagrees with its western partners on the failure of the “Geneva process”, which is tasked with reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

The Ministry said that no side has refused continuing these negotiations, adding that Moscow is ready to support this process because it is based on the basis of political settlement and there is no alternative but war mentality.
